My boys love this place!

Dogs are safe and taken care of, but it cost more than putting a child into daycare. And they just don't do as much as a daycare worker to charge this much, I feel.

Love this place, great staff. My dog Stella is very picky about people and she loves going to Pet Play House.

This is the best doggy daycare in Reno! Both my dogs get so excited when I say the word, because they know they’re going that day :)The minute I turn onto 4th street, they both know exactly where they’re going & I can’t get them out of the car fast enough….it’s actually hilarious to see!Thankyou Pet Playhouse & everyone that works there, we all truly appreciate you!

Customer service and staff is friendly. I don’t trust the quality of service. If you bring your pet here to board, check several times to make sure your add ons are added correctly by them.My husband and I are not recommending to bring your pets here for boarding. We were very unsatisfied with several things the last several visits, and don’t trust that they are getting the correct care, especially for what they charge.

First review about this place and I may have updates: It is our Beagle's second day here. Our dog has some anxiety/fear toward strangers (he is fine with dogs) and he's going through regular behavior training with Bark Busters (another great company). Before we moved to Reno, NV, we had paid a visit to Pet Play House and explained the situation to them. We travel a lot and need a safe/friendly place where the dog eventually feels comfortable just like where he used to go before we moved to Reno. The entire place seems well maintained including their overnight boarding areas, pet play areas, and common areas. The lobby is inviting, and the staff seems friendly. On my dog's first day there, he was obviously nervous, everything is new to him including the house, surroundings, people, and the daycare. He did bark a bit but it looks like the staff took it slow and eased him into the whole strenuous experience. We took a break next day and took him back there again and he jumped out of the car eager to go in and make friends again. The second time we took him there was better - he greeted the friendly girl who he met last time and it seems to be going okay.To most people, this review will be overly informative, but to those with dogs that are fearful/anxious, let me tell you know incredibly important it is to have such an establishment around. It is a sure shot way to continue to socialize them and tire them out.I continue to look forward to making our pet a part of your amazing play house. My wife and I are forever grateful to you and your staff already :)UPDATED JAN 1, 2024: This place is still going strong. We just picked up our dog after a solid week of boarding here and we couldn’t be happier.

We had to board our baby for the holiday season. We dropped her off on 12/21 and since they closed early on 12/24 and were closed on 12/25, we had to pick her up on 12/26. When we arrived home I noticed something on her stomach and I saw she was completely filthy. She had feces all over her body and it was dried. Our girl NEVER uses the bathroom on herself, so this lets us know either she wasn’t taken to the bathroom and/or she was left to lay in feces. We are so sadden by this because we just don’t know how she was treated. And our dog has not been herself since she came home and has a runny nose and cough ?This is Mazi Grubbs.

We love pet play house! My pup gets so excited as soon as we turn into West 4th when he knows where we're going. He goes to daycare multiple times a week, and he has a blast. I also board him from time to time, and it's such a relief to have a safe and fun place to leave him when I'm out of town.

Pet Playhouse is infamous for its rigid rules and requirements structure: It's workable, though. Getting the required documents to your account is wonky at best. The daily people who take calls and answer questions seem inconsistent; some provide conflicting information. Those who take pets into the facility seem kind and good to the pets. They apparently no longer provide written reports as to what pets did and how they were-this is disappointing. Can't speak to how pets are actually cared for while there-no live cams, etc.Ours come home tired and stinky, but seem OK. We assume and trust they are fed as outlined and have the water they need and are kept in clean areas.Honestly, not sure this place is what it once was.

We’ve had fantastic experiences with Pet Play House! When you have 3 senior dogs, health issues and medications are standard. Pet Play House has always been so accommodating and caring each time we board! I am always confident in the care that they provide and never worry about our babies when we are gone. That peace of mind is priceless!

Never have we ever boarded our dogs Max and Santo until Thanksgiving 2023! The team over at PPH do not make you feel silly for asking a ton of questions, they take their time to invite you in, share expectations and inquire about your pets preferences and dietary patterns. Both our dogs are rescues and have had limited interactions with public daycares but they thrived! We reserved the presidential suite over the holiday week and it was nice to watch them from the web cam, it definitely added peace of mind! If they don't answer the phone, leave a message, they WILL call you back. So great! Also, they were great at giving our dogs their prescriptions and supplements. Definitely returning!

This is the best place to board your doggo. We love boarding our dog Kip when we have to go out of town. Every time we pick him up he is happy and healthy then sleeps all day from playing so much with the other dogs. The staff seem to really love animals and no issues after boarding the last 5 years.

Pet Play House is an outstanding boarding facility. We recently went on a week long trip where we couldn't bring our old boy with us. Having never boarded him before, we were super nervous about finding somewhere he could stay while we were gone and that we felt confident he would be well taken care of. Pet Play House exceeded our expectations. The wonderful staff made the entire process from scheduling his boarding to picking him up an absolute breeze. The facility is clean and well maintained, the rooms are spacious and there is plenty of room for him and fellow boarders to play. They really gave us peace of mind, took exceptional care of him while he was with them, worked with his individual quirks and needs, gave us regular updates, and had a quick, straightforward pick up process. We could not be happier having used their services to care for our dog and we'll definitely use their boarding services again in the future.
