Last year, 2024 the area was fine but we go back this year 2025 and is horrible, a lot of homeless and drug people, the security of the hotel is a young guy, in his 20 maybe, we didn't feel secure at all. So if you looking for a pet friendly hotel, the extended stay at the Marina is a GREAT OPTION!!! And the service at the front desk is terrible, we arrived at 6pm and hour room was not ready and they want to change us to a standard and I book for a Deluxe so we didn't stay.

A continental breakfast (pastries, coffee & water) was served. I only drink decaf, which wasn't an option. I would've liked decaf , milk or juice

Alot of homeless and drug users outside the building. The hotel had plenty of security but do you want to stay at a place where they NEED security? Rooms were alright. Water pressure horrible. Won't be back.

This place exceeded my expectations. I stayed here while taking my son up to the university of Reno. It was just me and him so when he moved in I stayed there alone. I never feared for my life or was afraid to go outside.I didn’t have a lot of money and hotels jack up the prices During UNR‘s Move-in weekend. The hotel is not far from UNR. The staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are clean. The bathroom could use an upgrade, but was otherwise clean and the shower worked. You get a very small continental breakfast every morning. There’s a small casino attached to it with a little bar and grill. I did not try the bar and grill. My car was safe. I even had a bunch of my son‘s Belongings in the car and wasn’t worried about it. The place is not in the best neighborhood but it’s nothing I haven’t seen on Fremont Street in Las Vegas or even on the Row in Reno. There is a lot of foot traffic a lot of people hanging out in the parking lot, but that’s because of the small casino attached to the hotel. It’s more tucked away in an industrial area so there’s not a lot of restaurants to walk to, but there is a liquor store across the street that sells snacks and drinks. They also have a small store up at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time here and I doubt if we will be back. It seems the owners just don't care about this place. Things that could be done to make this place nice, just don't get done. Simple things like cleaning stains off the carpet. Wiping smudges off the walls. Rehanging the curtains back on the track. Removing the rust stain from the bath tub. (There are chemicals that will do it with little effort). One of the elevators looked like something got spilled in it and people walked in it, making it very dirty. I'm sure employees must have seen it but no one could grab a mop, and spend two minutes mopping it up? I won't even mention the casino attached to the hotel because I don't think it's owned by the hotel, but I'd stay out of it unless you don't mind breathing heavy cigarette smoke. We tried to eat there but no one came to take our order. One last thing that had me perplexed, one night we were waiting to talk to someone at the desk and they were helping another customer. Well the guy wanted a room for the night. He was told $300 for the night. The get left. I paid less than a hundred a night. They could have charged $150 and the guy probably would have paid that but they lost a customer and the room remained empty for the night.

Best deal I found downtown. No resort fees, 24 hour access, quiet rooms. It would be hard to find a better deal.

This room is horrible! It is filthy and old! I talked to several people in the elevator and they all confirmed their carpets were stained and dirty too. Wore flip flops entire time. Bath tub is gross and the back of the door looks like a dog tried to scratch it all up. Even the walls are dirty. Sketchy at night in front of the hotel. I would never ever stay here again. Wyndham you should be ashamed. You wouldn’t want to sleep here either.
