I brought in 7 lb of aluminum in 3 lb of copper and got $3 for it by far the lowest price I have came across just beware they were open on MLK day so that's where I brought it but I would just wait the extra day to get paid proper from somewhere else

Felt like a criminal. Never scrapped anything in my life. I thought I would get a couple of dollars for my old irrigation valves so I headed to Reno Salvage Company.
They require you to scan your ID, they require all information on your vehicle, they have cameras pointed at your face and a fingerprint is needed. All for $5 worth of brass. I understand you have thieves but your way of business treats the good customers as criminals.
Plus they said brass was 1.10-1.40 and they quoted me at lowest price. I walked out the door saying you can keep it. Not worth it. I don’t need all my information in an unknown database when Identity theft is at all time high.

Very disappointed. I had about 60 pounds of new wire to scrap. After reading the reviews, I called first to get a price on the scrap price. The lady on the phone told me the price was between $.15 and $1.50 a pound for insulated wire. She said that the guy in the yard would determine the price when he saw it. However, she told me that if it was new it would be on the higher end of the price spectrum. The wire was all new and had nothing attached at either end. The guy in the yard even commented on how nice the wire was. After it was unloaded and weighed (60 pounds worth) I went inside and found out they only gave me $.30 a pound. I saw multiple reviews about poor scrap value and it’s worth the drive to go to another location. I’d say the other poor reviews are 100% accurate.

Went to turn in some #2 scrap insulated copper wire. The guy that looked at it told me they would only pay me $0.30 a pound. Seemed very low to me so I went somewhere else and got over $1.50 a pound. Not sure how they come up with their prices but seems like they were trying to screw me over. Won’t go back there again!!

One of the great things about Reno salvage is how when you order steel the wait time for your material is only minutes and it’s brought to you in sizes/lengths you can transport unlike the competitors who only sell 20 foot lengths, won’t load that long material onto a pickup rack and won’t let you have material you paid for after 3:00. All thanks to they’re friendly staff.

By far the worst prices I've had at a scrap yard!!! I've scrapped all over the country and have not run into worse prices anywhere else they were trying to blindside me and buy my electric motors as appliances! They offered to buy my 14/3 copper wire for literally $.15 a Lb do not waste your time coming here unless you are only going to dump steel otherwise they will get one over on you!

I'm glad they didn't even look at my application. Everytime I've been there it was a bad experience anyway. Sorry I'm white and can't do the job apparently.

My first experience with any salvage company. If you crack a wheel rim on your car and replace all four, you end up with three wheel rims. Cheaper to replace all four than order a proper replacement! So, these rims that are $750 to order, for ONE, magically become worthless once they're off the car. Unable to sell these perfectly good rims, and then having difficulty knowing what to do with them. Called salvage and auto pickers, most didn't even want them as a gift, one would take them off my hands, and only Reno Salvage would take them and pay me 30 cents a pound. This is a huge facility, I found the staff pleasant and helpful, they direct you where to go, where to park and basically stay safe as lots of massive trucks and equipment coming and going. The girl answering their phone was friendly and knowledgeable. The whole process didn't take long but I did have to show my ID and they even took my finger print. I made a few dollars off the deal. Enough for a lunch... at McDonald's, but actually enjoyed the whole experience. Love going to any new business! I would recommend this business
