The female that always answers the phone is the rudest person at a pharmacy that I have interacted with. No social skills whatsoever and should find a more fitting.

A story of two cashiers: Glenn and Tiana. After I saw "Approved" on the card machine, I asked for my receipt. The cashier said "as soon as you pay." I said I did, it said approved. She then got flustered, and called for the "help" of Glenn.I told him what had happened, and that I was sure I had paid. He didn't believe me, and told the first cashier to ring the entire $95+ transaction up again, on the next cash register. He was in no way friendly or polite from the start, barely professional, and even that modicum of civility did not last.I waited while she did this, even though I knew what I had seen, because Glenn refused to even listen to what I told him. Time came to run my card, and it was declined for insufficient funds, because the account had just been emptied by the first transaction. This means that if the funds had been there, Glenn would have made me pay TWICE for the same $95+ transaction. Thanks Safeway!I said I told you but you didn't believe me, and he started mocking me "what do you mean didn't believe you?" I said the transaction went through, I told you that, you didn't believe me. He then said "What do you mean didn't believe you?" again, laughing in my face. By now I was growing very frustrated, I told him I just want to go home with the food I've paid for. He said you have to wait. I said how long, he wouldn't answer. You just have to wait, what do you expect me to do? I said I expect you to help me, and he again just repeated himself, "You just have to wait." "How long?" "What do you expect me to do?" Help me!!! "You just have to wait." "How long?" "What do you expect me to do?" As if he had no obligation at all to actually be helpful. Or nice.I was in disbelief at how he was treating me, so I took out my phone to film him for evidence, in itself an indication of how unpleasantly bizarre things had gotten. He only laughed and mocked me more, "go ahead and film, I don't care, I'm not doing anything, they won't care," and did everything BUT actually help me. I asked why he was being so rude, and he started yelling that I was being rude, literally shouting at me across the aisles - every other cashier working witnessed, as well as many customers. I guess the manager was out for the night...? At this point, some girl came up and joined in with Glenn in mocking me, pointing and laughing, "look at this guy filming, what's wrong with you?" and continuing to verbally abuse and bully me every time I spoke after. I thought she was a customer or some random troublemaker. Then I looked closer and realized THIS WAS ANOTHER CASHIER, ganging up with her colleague to harass and abuse me for wanting to leave the store with the food I'd paid for. After 15 minutes of this, SURPRISE, the first cash register spits out my receipt. Glenn proceeds to smugly hand it to me like his point had been proven, and tells me "you can leave now."(I should mention here that at this point the first cashier did apologize profusely -- unfortunately that was nothing in the face of Glenn's behavior.)I was again flabbergasted, but started to push my cart towards the door. Glenn proceeded to walk directly beside me, shoulder-to-shoulder, staring me in the eyes with frank hostility: "I'm escorting you out." I stared back at him, in disbelief, and kept moving with him stalking along beside me, very much in my personal space, until he said "You really need to work on yourself man."I stopped in my tracks, in complete shock. This child who couldn't maintain a basic air of professionalism in his job as a Safeway clerk just told me I need to work on myself, after inflicting one of the worst customer experiences of my life on me. Along came a fourth employee, who was the picture of polite customer service. She apologized, and told me their computers HAD BEEN ACTING UP ALL NIGHT. But not only did Glenn not mention this onc

I had a horrible experience today. First with the girl that rang me $14 for this bag of mandarins? There's a whole bunch of them under this sign and honestly ppl don't have time to read everything under the signs. Put them in RIGHT place . Secondly this coupon looks Just like these mandarins. Then Noel came along. She was rude and had a terrible attitude towards customers and was being just overall rude with another team member trying to help me. She also covered her name tag with her hair and didn't wear any Safeway shirt, hat, so no one could really tell she even works there. I told her the price was $2.99 rudely she said "these aren't it! , and if they are, I'm going to remove that price" She's obviously a very rude person and shouldn't be working at customer service at all ! Here is the proof they are Noel!! I even showed her and kept arguing. Next time go check the price yourself since your management anyway? I will be talking to another manager.

This review is for Safeway's Hot Bar section - if you do not know this, you are missing something! Safeway serves the best potato wedges (hands-down) in Reno, spicy wings, and fried chicken! The service and ambiance of this place deserve some credit! Thank me later if you try this - buy potato wedges, spicy wings, and fried chicken from Safeway, and go to Asian Paradise to enjoy everything with chicken corn soup on a snow day (only during a snow day), and finish everything with their Green Tea :-) !!! If you do not like to do it that way, you take everything home and enjoy Reno's snow day!

My first few visits went well, then that initiation phase was over. There’s a few nice ones that feel refreshing to talk to. So whatever you can to pick up your stuff on the days they are there because the alternative will ruin the rest of your day. There’s one whose name starts with an S and whenever she answers the phone, I know I’m about to be spoken down to and treated like a child. You don’t need the full name if you have ever spoken to her, you just know. It’s become a game for me and my wife when I call at this point. We put it on speaker and take bets how quickly she will insult me with sayings like “You know we have an app, right?” Yes, I know you have an app. But the app doesn’t answer questions and people need to know about their meds. These are not Tylenol we’re picking up here. I truly hope whatever makes this woman’s life so terrible resolves itself but I’m not hopeful it will do anything for her mood toward customers. I’ll likely be switching pharmacies soon. I tried to make it work out, but I’ll speak with my wallet on this one and go back to Walmart and deal with the people and public there. At least there, I know it’s my fault for choosing them.I’ve always been shocked by the amount of people that HATE customer service based jobs, yet they go into that exact type of job. Granted, those jobs are probably the more available statistically but their are other options.

This is a review for Safeway's Pharmacy and my covid shot experience. Made an appointment on the Safeway site for my covid shot. Lots of available times in the morning and afternoon. Check into the pharmacy, bring your ID and insurance card. If you have an appointment, you get considered first and foremost. Get your phizer or moderna shot, and you're done!I like the fact that they have an ample supply whereas other pharmacies did not have the vaccine available.

I love coming to this store! I have been 10 or so times in the past few years, usually late afternoon, and am always happy when I leave. All three Safeways in Reno and Sparks are bigger, cleaner, and more well-stocked than many of the California Safeways I am used to. Maybe because it is not as dominant here as in the Bay Area? I am not sure, but for whatever reason, this is good news for the people here. The fruits and vegetables, which I buy a lot, are always thoughtfully displayed, fresh, and sufficiently stocked. When there is a sale, they have more of the item. I have never not found an item. They also have a large self-checkout station. Sometimes there is a line, but the queue goes fast. I have never waited more than 30 seconds or so. There is always a friendly employee right there in case you run into trouble and he or she can almost always resolve my problem. This Safeway, which is open 24 hours, is in the Damonte Ranch Towne Center, a newer plaza in southwest Reno where Damonte Ranch Parkway, Steamboat Parkway, and Veterans Parkway meet. They are expanding the parking area on the side and back of the store, but there has always been sufficient parking right in front of the store. By the way, this Safeway also features a pharmacy (separate Yelp page); Starbucks (separate Yelp page--not to be confused with the stand-alone Starbucks in this same plaza); large, staffed floral department; deli; bakery; meat and seafood department; beer, wine, and liquor; a staffed in-store slot machine area (a Nevada thing); and ready-to-eat foods. There is an in-store dining area in the front by the Starbucks, as well as free and fast Wi-Fi. All the employees are courteous and helpful. Carts are always plentiful, as are the sales flyers in the front. This time of year, there were many Halloween and fall decorations and items in the store, as well as some Christmas decorations too!On the negative, I have occasionally had issues with getting an online coupon or reward to go though at the register, but that is more how corporate has programmed the system. It works usually and is better than before. It is a minor i sue, and this does not deter me.Anyway, when I do come here, my experience always brightens my day. I always leave happy. This is a fine-quality store and I love the experience!

I have to say I've been thrilled since Safeway moved in. They may be spendy but I don't mind spending extra money to find items I haven't seen in Reno for years. The store is always spotless, and so far every experience has been great. However, the true star of this store is the pharmacy. I've been struggling for several years with their neighbor pharmacy, to an extent that it was effecting my mental health. One day after another pharmacy left me off meds for over 45 days, my husband called Safeway to see if they had them in stock. They immediately checked, with a positive demeanor, and returned to the call to say they DID have them. After that I moved all of my prescriptions over. Every refill has been seamless. The person on the phone or at the register is always kind and willing to help. I don't feel rushed, or hurried at all. Every month the person on the other line has gladly put me on hold to open the safe and see if they have my medicine in stock. The one time they didn't have it, rather than leave me without for an unsafe amount of time they suggested alternative doses. They told me what strength they did have and said if I wanted I could have my doctor redo my prescription for the month for the dosage they did have in stock. They even said they would set it aside for me over the weekend while I reached out to my doctor, since I had been the first to inquire. The next day I had my meds in hand, on time, and I haven't had to go 20-45 days every time I did a refill, causing an emotional roller coaster. I'm so glad this store popped up. Not only do they have my husbands favorite A1 Bold and Spicy, they also have a food, solid, kind, caring staff.

I have interfaced with Jamie, Alma, Cathy and others at this pharmacy. They are always easy to work with and courteous. And one other important thing is: they always find time to answer the phone no matter how busy.

Every time I need a medication they tell me they've ordered it and it'll be in tomorrow and it never shows up. They are always full of excuses. (Added 12/14) The pharmacist Jamie Lum has requested I follow unsafe practices that go against CDC guidelines. Find a new pharmacy this one is UNSAFE
