I went in earlier today to shop with my family. We are Hispanic and immediately as we walked in through the doors this specific employee was very very rude and unprofessional. I didn’t get her name but she is white and has box braids. I left my stuff behind because I refuse to give my money to racist corporations. It’s 2025 nobody should be treated less than for their skin color. Do better Sephora.

It's on the pricey side but you can try the makeup on there and just find what you like then order it for less online.

I am not one to write reviews but I genuinely have never experienced these issues to this extent anywhere else. The employees at this Sephora are the actual WORST. They are completely incompetent and rude. As someone who’s worked in retail for multiple years and worked at Ulta in various locations for a year I can confidently say that the way these employees act is not acceptable. Other reviews saying that they felt stalked or watched the entire time are completely true. Even though I am in my 20s and fit the “typical” description of someone shopping at a place like this I have never felt more surrounded then at this Sephora. The worst part is that EVERY SINGLE PERSON in management is the same- unprofessional and unintelligent, so nothing is going to change and no one will be held accountable. I had to contact customer service the last time I went bc they were so unhelpful with my request and while I was on the phone I mentioned their names and their roles as well as how they acted. I was told I would be hearing back from them, but never did. This was over a month ago.
Honestly, if corporate can’t even do their job then what should I expect? Nothing is going to change so I would absolutely never recommend anybody to ever shop at Sephora, especially this location. Also after reading other reviews and seeing Sephoras responses they seem so uninterested in what people are saying. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere and I hope I can convince you to as well. There’s many other places with employees and customer service that are not complete airheads.

Not sure who the girl with the blue/black hair is, but she clearly saw me waiting for help near the register but chose to not help me even when the front wasnt busy, two other associates saw as well. not sure if she had a problem because i clearly was a POC but probably my last time coming to this location. 🤷🏻♀️

I had an amazing experience recently with Amanda. She was so helpful! She helped me try a couple of different perfumes and recommended some skin care to me. She also made it so much fun to redeem my beauty insider points. Thank you again! This is now my favorite sephora location!

I used to love this store but now whenever I come in the shelves for skincare are not kept full with products. In fact they seem to be more and more empty.
The Sephora at Scheels always has everything I need. Also I was told by the staff the points you earn do not go to your main Sephora account but only apply to this particular store.
The staff of young girls here are apathetic and seem like they don't want to be there and if I have questions about particular products they have no knowledge about them.
So even though it is more of a drive I am going to stop shopping here for these reasons.

Ive been to this store many times, with my daughter. And almost every time I am watched as if Im trying to steal. I know I don't look like a 43 yr old woman with my daughter but for some reason Im profiled the moment we go in and it isnt the first time at this store. Maybe it's the way I look IDK with my tattoos and piercings. Today I walked in with a big Nike bag from my previous purchase. Immediatley greeted which is nice but followed around and watched as though Im a common theif in their store. I can't even look around comfortably without an associate standing by me or in my view. I try to understand from their point of view but we like to smell all the perfumes (its kind of our thing) we love perfume but I also had anxiety just standing there. I turned around to see an associate behind me with a pallette in her hand and we looked at each other in the mirror. I was over it. I hadn't been in the store 10 minutes. I told my daughter I wasn't spending money there and we decided to leave. I honestly wont return to this location. Ive tried to let it go since it's not the first time I've felt this way here. Im an honest shopper and will just go to Ulta where they don't make me feel this way.

The employees at the store are very profiling. They follow you around just watching you and act like they're just checking to see if you need help. They make you feel unwanted and unwelcome as soon as you walk thru the door. One even pulled a mirror right next to me and my mom and was watching us thru the pallet. Like cmon ? Yall need to do better lol it’s worth the drive to go to the other sephoras in Reno.

Rude customer service from the employees. One person didn’t want to assist because “she was on break.” Why was she on the floor then? Instead of rudely saying that why don’t you point us to an advisor who was available? What happened to kindness and good customer experience? There was one beauty advisor who wasn’t from that store and she was great and really had so much knowledge! I was appalled as well by the fact that no one could give me a sample of a foundation since “it was against their rules.” Really? Since when? So you want me to purchase a foundation that I’ve never tried before and return it if it doesn’t work? Waste of product .. times have definitely changed and it’s super sad.

First time visiting, and I will definitely visit again. We were greeted with smiles and promptly helped.
