These people should be in jail. They actually take away ALL medications if they can't get their outrageously high priced prescriptions. Leaving me with HIV+ for over 2 years and their best friends from ADAP NV get to keep the money fir the drugs and services I don't get as mandated by laws. Do the crime/due the time. This place is a Health Hazard to the public. Esp to the poor. They lie about the costs/and make you sicker than when you came in. Medicaid and Medicare scam going on All the Time.

Ridiculous. So to set up an appointment, u would have to call at 8am and set up an appointment for the next following day(first come first serve). So here I am, calling every morning for four days straight and every time I ask to schedule an appointment, it's always "fully booked." I was told to call at 8am. Literally, the very second it turned 8am, I called and they seem to be fully booked?! Reminder, the clinic opens at 8am, how can I, when calling the exact timing of the clinic being open, be told it's fully booked for the next following DAY? Crazy!

If i could rate no stars I would, if i could rate NEGATIVE stars, I would. Hopes is the WORST clinic anyone could ever go to, especially if you are looking into their MAT program...DONT!! They treat addicts just as such, addicts. They don't treat them like people or even human beings. For example my Fiance has been clean now for many months, hopes has accused him of shooting his Suboxone, which he has NOT done. Hes so adamant on proving himself that he kept telling the nurses to "Check him", they refused and did not listen to him. They have a staff member named Kelly who is convinced that he has been selling his Subs and even depression meds (that hes only taking for his seizures, what???) when he would NEVER do that because he would go in withdrawal. Instead of having evidance, they assume and never trust the "addict" when he hasnt done anything to prove hes untrustworthy. The bigger kicker is, the only doctor that believed him GOT FIRED!!! Because she was being "to nice and trustworthy to her patients..." patients that havent done anything to deem them as untrustworthy. This place is a joke. DO NOT GO ON HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ADDICTION TREATMENT!!!!

Please be advised they will tell you they offer a sliding scale, and that even if you don't qualify, your max payment will be $50.00. Then they will send you a bill for $129.43. Also, if you're looking for behavioral health testing for minors DON'T GO HERE. They will schedule an appointment with a pediatrician, and tell you it is a psychologist. My son and I met with the physician twice, under the impression she was going to be evaluating him. He missed school twice, she had us take assessment forms to the school, she had my husband and I do assessments, and then said "I'm just a pediatrician so I can't even diagnose him." I was furious. On top of it, she kept saying "I just moved here and don't know enough to refer you to the right place or how to help you. I also don't know how to call the schools, or where we keep the forms, so I'll have someone mail them" That was in September, we've still received no forms. I'm so bummed at this whole thing. We had to wait three months to get in with another doctor, and are just now starting all of the testing. Had Hopes been honest 5 months ago and told me they were scheduling us with a pediatrician I would not have done it. My son has a pediatrician who is phenomenal, why would I want a new sub par pediatrician who isn't even familiar with forms, locations, schools, or humans? When I inquired about the billing they basically said "too bad so sad," and I'm paying more than I ever wanted for zero services, and zero help. Run far away from here. Update: After three phone calls about the billing, and the care we received (one payment made), the office just called me to say after discussing it with the manager they are going to write off my bill, and refund my payment. I definitely appreciate that, but I still don't I recommend them for ADHD testing, unless you don't have your own pediatrician and need to go through this process to find a doctor.

If you're gonna come here might as well just stay at home and google your symptoms and best of luck to ya. The doctors are so cold and just brush off your symptoms.

I have been a patient with HOPES for a long time now and could never say enough good about these folks. Insured, not insured, under insured it don't matter, they can and will help. I have insurance but can't afford my high co payments, I'm never turned away, they let me send in a couple dollars when I have it. They now offer more than primary care, I see a counselor and even x ray services. This place is a staple for our community and they WILL help you! BE PATIENT and call each morning, you will get in.

I am very impressed. Everyone was kind from the front desk to the doctor. I do not have insurance and they took care of all my needs and treated me very well. They even made my appointment for the specialist. So thankful there is a facility available like this.

While I can relate only my own personal experience, I have read all the reviews herein and find all the negative ones quite biased and somewhat bigoted. First, my own take: I read very carefully all the notes, disclaimers, etc., about when to phone. I did so and yes, it does take time and luck. Took me twice, the second time being the charm and I had a next day appointment. The phone intake person, David, was surprised that I had actually downloaded, filled out and printed all the proper intake forms. "No one ever does that," he told me. Saves about an hour of sitting in the waiting room, pen in hand. I arrived early, and since all my paperwork was done, I was seen about 30 minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment. Juan, the in-person intake, was honest with me that it was his third day. He was helpful, courteous and respectful. What more is there? Anna, the medical assistant, showed to the exam room and took BP and spoke with me about what I felt I needed during my initial visit. She left and about 3 minutes later, Dr. C. McConnell entered, introduced himself and started asking questions while typing. He was straightforward, focused and pleasant, also courteous. He was thorough, made a physical exam of my complaints and best of all, he listened. Before leaving he made an appointment for a future visit and scheduled several tests unilaterally, which was a great relief, as I had not thought to do so. He prescribed medications, inquired as to my pharmacy of choice and told me to wait a few minutes to see a specialist, something I had not anticipated, as I had been told that it would take up to 2 weeks for that. Dr. McConnell did it all in one visit. The specialist arrived and we spoke for about 20 minutes. It was a tense conversation, and not at all because of any perceived slights or discourtesy. This was a discussion about health, my health, and we bandied issues back and forth, which is healthy in a thoughtful talk. I was at NNHOPES for about 2 1/2 hours and it was a great weight lifted from me, that I was able to enter the into the system and have made available good solid medical care. Now, as to the online criticism made on this site: I would be hard-pressed to think of a place in the lower 48 which is devoid of any ethnic communities, unless we are talking about Beverly Hills or some elitist affluent all-white gated enclave. Yes, there are Hispanic persons living in the U.S.A. Yes, they are human. And yes, they, too, need medical attention. NNHOPES is a beacon for many who cannot afford private insurance. So yes, many people here, patients and staff, speak Spanish. Some even speak Chinese. And all speak English. As for reviews which state that if you do not Spanish, staff are rude, nonsense. I am not Hispanic. I spoke English. No one was rude. In fact, everyone with whom I came into contact was Hispanic-American and they were all Courteous and Respectful. All. Complaining about someone's else's culture doe not necessarily make one a bigot. However, reality is what it is. Which means if you do not like something, do not partake or patronize it, be it a business, or anything else. Many people speak Spanish. I do, and I am ethnically nowhere near Spain. On the way home, I hit an Asian restaurant for lunch. Neither of the two servers spoke English, which meant a lot of menu-pointing. Am I upset? Lunch is not life or death, it's more important than that. And no, I am not upset. I ate what I wanted and was full and happy. Lastly, to revisit the initial intake process: the new patient webpage clearly lays out when to call and all the other parameters. so, once again, if this is not to someone's liking, find another provider. As the saying goes, it is what it is.

"NO STARS". I've been a patient with them for over 3 years. I had many problems from the start. Just getting an intake appointment is extremely frustrating requiring perseverance and luck. When I went to my first appointment I came prepared bringing in all of my records California. I wanted to insure they would prescribe my current meds and got the appropriate referrals if needed. When it was time to get refills; the referral had not been done and policies changed. I was treated with suspicion even though I had previously come in with full disclosure and documentation from my prior providers, both psychiatric and medical service providers. I was proactive and prepared. However they did not like my medications and judged me by them. The psychiatric services were horrible. I was treated as though I was crazy. I repeatedly requested case management and counseling. I was in a near crisis situation as a result of unresolved physical decline in addition to having an increase in stress due to my mom's knee and spine surgery and a recent diagnosis of dementia. When I came in for my monthly appointment I was asking for help. I was angry and frustrated. The prescriber interrupted me and advised since I was on a controlled substance (a stimulant med for adhd) she was demanding a urine drug test, refusing any further discussion and said to schedule an appointment for the next month. Nevermind that drug testing indicated I was not using any illicit drugs, she discontinued the add medication writing a reduced 5 day supply and an increased dosage of an antipsychotic. It took every ounce of restraint not to become psychotic. Later I spoke to someone in the office who said they didn't do case management for someone like me (medicare and no court services) and had very limited providers for counseling. She had no other recommendations or suggestions. I found a new prescriber and discontinued psychiatric services. Regretfully I did keep them as my medical provider not wanting to go through the process of establishing a new one. Until now. This has been the last straw. My pharmacy had sent several refill requests for my thyroid medication without any acknowledgement. I realized I would need a thyroid blood test and called to schedule an annual exam. The earliest appointment they could offer was more than 3 weeks out. When I asked about the medication I would need until then as I still have a week supply and am not completely out but they refused to fill any amount. Nevermind the problems associated of going without it, I asked what I should do until then as the blood test will not be useful or accurate without the medication in my system. I was told I should go to the ER! Isn't that a great solution at added financial burden to me and an appropriate use of Emergency Hospital Services for a routine medical condition?! And great problem solving too! I am done with this clinic. There are other options in the community. I found The Community Health Alliance gaving me an option to walk in to their clinic to establish services. If you want to be treated respectfully, fairly and address your medical needs I do not recommend HOPES. THEY DON'T CARE. They create rules to deny services which does not encourage mental or physical well-being. They in fact are in conflict with that and cause harm and distress.
