I found Denise's salon account while searching for a local color specialist to do a color correction for me. I have long hair which I had been dying black for a decade. I finally stopped dying it & had been growing it out in an attempt to go back to a more natural shade of brown, but eventually I got impatient. So I reached out to Denise for a consultation. She was confident that she could give me the chocolate, caramel color I wanted while maintaining the length & strength of my hair. So we promptly booked my next appointment for her to begin working her magic I think these photos speak for themselves! In addition to being wonderful at her job, but she is a shining & beautiful person inside & out I am so happy with my hair & I am even more happy that I met Denise. Thank you for boosting my confidence & my spirits

I love when I have a hair appointment with Denise. I count down the days like it's Christmas morning when I have an appointment scheduled. She always makes my blonde dreams come true. She is truly the BEST blonde specialist. So thankful to have such a wonderful and talented blonde professional. Not to mention she's hysterical and the sweetest!!

I can only put 5 stars but id put 1,000 if it let me. Before finding her I had struggled for years and years to find a hair stylist that could achieve the color I've always dreamt of. After just one session with Denise my hair had been the color I never thought I'd get. Denise's talent shines through in every piece of hair she lays her hands on. She's honest about your hair goals, products, and maintenance of this kind of color. Selfishly I wish I could gatekeep her all for myself. However, I think everyone deserves to feel as beautiful as Denise makes you feel by reaching your hair goals. Love her, the salon, and atmosphere. No awkward conversations or having to stress out in the chair if your hair is gonna turn out how you'd like. Every appt I can finally sit back, relax, and always have a great conversation with one of my favorite people. Denise, you've been a godsend thank you

Denise has been doing my hair for 8 years and is the absolute best! She is a pro at blonde highlights and keratin. She is a very positive and hard working stylist and I always enjoy our conversations. Her prices are extremely fair given the value. Don't bother researching further for your blonde - book with Denise!

Denise at Studio 1221 is like a magical fairy princess. She made my hair beautifully blonde again after a bad experience at another salon. She messaged me right away after I sent her pictures and gave me not just what I wanted, but even better. She has such a cute, bubbly demeanor and was such a pleasure to be with during my appointment. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to leave the salon happy, refreshed and feeling like a million bucks!

I absolutely adore Denise and her work of magic! Her studio is very comfortable and well decorated. In addition, while you are there (appointment only), she gives you 100% of her attention. Which is great, because I'm constantly laughing and sharing stories with her. I've been traveling a ton for work and my hair was TRASHED after too many nights in hotels with hard water (I'm looking at you, Arizona!). Even though I'm diligent about products, the hard water was no match. Denise recognized the challenges right away and made a significant difference in a couple of hours. Leave the hard work to professionals like her! We can keep doing what we do best, looking good. Thank you, Denise!

Small, exquisite two employee salon with a stylist and nail specialist. Owner Denise is a color specialist and excels with blonde hair. Fun, chic place that's enjoyable to get prettified in. Denise knows all of her clients well and does excellent work. Unfortunately, the nail specialist isn't taking any new clients. I really love coming here and look forward to a fun and relaxing time with Denise. I highly recommend her ESPECIALLY if you have blonde hair or wish to go blonde.

I was texting with Denise prior to our appt and told her that it has been at least 7 months since I last had my hair done, and that I wanted a balayage/babylights and wanted to go as light as reasonably possible. She responded and said she would give me some options but never did. When I got to her studio, she never once mentioned or asked any further about what I wanted to do with my hair. Every single person has always asked before starting. I guess she didn't care to know what I wanted. But she had great reviews so I trusted her. Since I'm a first time client with at least 7 months of growth, one might think it's like practically starting from scratch right? I was prepared for it to be like that of a first time appt because that's what it was. Denise, however, did not prepare and winged it. I could tell she was already rushing halfway through and it was honestly making me nervous. Needless to say, my hair was fried, more than it had ever been after any bleach job in the past and I looked like a hyena with different shades of bleached, patchy spots and harsh lines. It was a botched job. Sure, she offered to fix it, as she should, but gaslighted me in her response as if it was my hair's fault that she did a poor job or that she had no idea prior that it had been that long. Would you let that person touch your hair again? No thank you. She never responded to my request for a refund. She admitted herself it should have been a 4.5 hr job. How do you miss the mark by 2.5 hrs though? Her after pictures might look decent on the surface, but if I put my hair half up like I like to do, that would have been embarrassing. She would have known that though if she asked before starting and saved us both the trouble. I had to pay someone else $300+ for Denise's negligence. She even kept the tip.

I have been going to Denise for 7 years now, which feels crazy to say! Originally, I found Denise through Yelp, for my mom, who was turning 40 at the time and was in need of a hair refresh for her new chapter of life. I was only 15 or 16, and I began by only getting haircuts from her. I always swore up and down to myself that I'd never change my natural long blonde hair- but temptation in seeing Denise's beautiful work definitely won me over, and I'm so grateful it did! I am 23 now, and there aren't many colors left that I and Denise haven't done. My hair has been a talking piece and a point of compliment for my entire time getting my hair done by her, and let me tell you what- there is no better feeling! Not only have I found an incredibly talented and experienced person whom I trust my hair with, but I've also grown to love Denise all things hair aside. She is a safe space to sit your butt down after a long day/week/month etc. and just be. She is warm, and inviting, and has a beautiful and true heart. I am so grateful for her friendship through these years, and I am so grateful for the confidence my hair has inspired through the years. I cannot imagine going anywhere else!

So ever since my purple ombre, I have been going to Denise for my colorful hair for over 8 years now. I have had every color imaginable now. Denise is amazing and so I let her paint my hair after telling her if I want to go dark or bright for my colors. I always get compliments on my hair and it's always fun to see what color combinations she will come up with. Highly recommend of you want fun colorful hair that's tastefully done.
