“One of the last "true" thrift stores in town! Although I hesitate highlighting where the honey hole of thrift stores is, I have to give the Assistance League a shout out for keeping it real! This little gem has the best thrift store prices in town, they have quality items, and they stock new items daily! The store is always clean and items are meticulously displayed. I think that's because the staff are lovely volunteers who are always friendly, take pride in the store and work their butts off :) It's one of my favorite spots in Reno and worth the trip! They're 3-4 blocks from Costco heading North on Harvard. Worth the drive. Tip: They are closed on Monday's and Tuesdays are always busy. Be prepared to wait in a little line because they carefully wrap fragile items, but the line moves fast!! These ladies hustle, so remember to be patient :)”

“I frequent the Thrift Depot on 4th Street and happened to be in the area for the N.Hills location on Friday and stopped by. I was so excited to learn it was 50% off clothes! The gentleman at the register was friendly and conversational. The prices were amazing and it was organized by size (this shoots you up my top 10 list of thrift stores!!) I walked out with a Stanley cup for $1.80, are you joking?! What a day! I took a picture of the sales and these are the same for every location! I can't wait to come back and search through their treasures again!”

“I always head here after seeing Goodwill's prices. Sure enough most everything I want is about half the price here. Extensive selection and enjoyable shopping.”

“A great thrift store with a great cause. You'll definitely find amazing treasures here but just be careful as some customers will grab items out of your cart if you're not attentive especially if they're highly valuable.”

“With the holiday season upon us and few craft fairs to visit for holiday decor and gifts, I thought I'd pass along a great source! The Senior Sampler, located inside the Assistance League thrift store, is a free space given to seniors to display and sell their crafts. The senior crafters set the price, and there is no sales tax. The store accepts cash and charge. There are really high quality handmade gifts and decor available, textiles, jewelry, table runners, linens, crochet items, wood decorative pieces and so much more! Please consider stopping by for a visit. The stock is rotated regularly. Now, as well as day to day crafts, fall holiday themes are on offer, and early November will bring in the Christmas themed crafts. Call the store to confirm operating hours during this COVID-19 adjustment time. Happy shopping!”

“Some of the coolest things I've ever seen at an thrift store! I came in one time and there were a bunch of original flyers for the sunset strip in the 60's. I saw stuff for the Doors at the whiskey, Cream, Iron butterfly, and a bunch of others. And I don't know anything about antiques but if someone did, they could probably find all kinds of gems in this place. I was there this evening and decided to flip through this book and there was an inscription on the first page that was from 1936! How cool is that!? I picked up a bunch of Xmas lights for like 3 bucks. They always have tons of great Xmas stuff before the holidays!”

“Two stores to shop at.eft side the prices are cheaper and leftovers from the Stores around the area. The Goodwill on the right side has more options at a good but higher rate. Both a good spot to shop at. I scored a nee dvd for .15 at the outlet store to the left.”

“Savers has been my go-to thrift store since I moved to Reno a few years ago. I think out of the other thrift stores I've been to in Reno, Savers has the best selection and decent pricing/sales. It's also somewhat clean. I have noticed that prices for jeans have been slowly going up. I am deducting one star because I really wish that Savers had a dressing room to try on clothes. I know that they used to have dressing rooms at their old location. I also wish I could just get refunded instead of store credit. Other than that, I've had no issues at this store and will continue to thrift here!”

“Stopped by to check out what was out on the racks. It has been a while since I have stepped foot inside a Plato's closet. There was a variety of cool and collective treats and goodies lurking inside. I left without purchasing anything due to lack of time on a lunch break. I definitely will be back and get something's I have been searching for. Looked like there were good deals on some brands I like.”
