The TMCC bookstore is quite a mixed bag, but generally, it's a useful resource for students. When you walk in, the layout is clean, well-organized, and it's easy to find what you need, be it textbooks, supplies, or even some TMCC merch. Staff members are generally friendly and knowledgeable, and they're good about helping you locate specific items. They also offer online ordering, which is super convenient in today's digital age. However, the elephant in the room is the pricing. To put it plainly, textbooks and other materials can be prohibitively expensive. It's not uncommon to spend several hundred dollars on textbooks for just one semester, which can be a significant financial burden for many students. That said, it's worth mentioning the growing availability of Open Educational Resources (OER) at TMCC. These are free or low-cost alternatives to traditional textbooks, accessible online or through other platforms. The OER initiative has been a godsend for many students, as it greatly alleviates the financial stress tied to course materials. The bookstore could do more to promote these resources, perhaps by having a dedicated section or providing informational handouts to students.

It'll have most of the things you need but it's a little more expensive than other places.

Came in for certification testing. Helpful people explained that RDMT means Red Mountain Building and it's location, once there, Room '124' isn't even listed on the posted evacuation floorplans. Turns out 124 is the reception desk, probably added as an afterthought. From there, everything worked out. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

This place forced textbook brokers out of business so they can corner the market on textbook sales. A textbook that would have cost 100$ now costs me 458$. Thanks alot ?

Sold me the wrong product twice and do not know what the instructors require for their classes. One instructor didn't even know the bookstore had books listed as required for his course. Another instructor's required books aren't even available here. For this course the store is recommending an incompatible text for an inflated price. Would give zero stars if possible.

Access to pick up books for curbside pick up is a joke. You drive up there and the telephone number is nonstop busy. No other number to call and no way to get ahold of someone so they can bring out the books that were ordered. Waste of time.

The staff is pleasant and helpful when you can get a hold of them. They have one number to contact them to set up a pickup (since COVID it's all appointment only). The line is constantly busy for hours upon hours and you can't get anyone to set up a pickup. So I've paid you money for a book that I need for a class that I paid for that the institution can drop me because I don't have the required materials because there is no way to get in touch with anyone to get my materials that I ordered through you to pick up? Until there is a new system in place I won't even attempt to use this place again.
