Haven’t been able to access my online account for months and when I came in to an office to close my account due to poor accessibility I was charged 90 dollars for a print out of my monthly statements from the last year. Don’t walk run away from this bank. It has been a very bad experience with my business account.

I had high hopes. I recently switched banks and was told by many umpqua was the way to go. I am already regretting it. It took a while to get my accounts open and all was good. Mr. Ayala helped and everything was great. Then I made deposits into the account and holds are placed on certified checks and cashiers checks, so if you need to deposit money and use it, you have to deposit cash in the first 30 days. Not a huge issue. I them added another business account and suddenly I couldn't access any accounts but the personal so I went to the branch. Abigail came over and said I cannot see all of my accounts at once and that I needed to have separate logins for each account. Even though i was able to shownher i had both accounts access just a few days ago. She snapped and saidnthats notnpossible. Fine, no problem. I asked if we could set that up and she said NO! That is not something anyone at a branch can do. She is the manager. So I went home as instructed and got online. That did not work, so I called corporate and I explained what is going on. They stated this is only something that can be handled in branch. So, I called the branch and again spoke to Abigail. It was this time that she was upset and very defensive. She kept reading a statement and was using extremely offensive language and telling me I didn't talk to the right people, to call corporate again cause they lied, telling me I don't know what I am talking about and if I keep asking questions and asking for a way to solve the issue she would hang up. Her rudness I have never heard in any person's voice and it felt very racial at this point. When I stated I was online with corporate and they were telling me I had to go to the branch with her on the line, suddenly Mr. Ayala was available. He corrected everything in under 2 minutes. The reason or the 1 star is purely because of how Abigail treated me, talked down to me, she did blurt a racial connotation that I will not repeat, and then after, didn't even apologize as I could hear her in the background saying horrible things as Mr. Ayala fixed the issue. Extremely poor decision on Umpqua to have a manager as horrifying as this.

My husband and I have been using Umpqua for about 5 or 6 years now. They worked with us after a very large sum of money went missing in our checking account due to several back to back fraudulent transactions.I deducted a star because they are no longer open on Saturdays and they close at 4pm on weekdays. As someone who works a typical 9 to 5 job working around their open hours is nearly impossible unless I take time off of work. Basically I can't ever go into the bank when I need something that requires a banker. i.e. changing my last name after marriage.

This is by far the worst bank you could bank with. You have to wait a week to get your money if you want to pull a large sum or close your account. The tellers and the manager are very rude and act like children .

Why can there never be 1 star? If you are looking to teach your fourth grader about banking, Umpqua is the place for that. Playskool version of banking. Really nice people. Really useless bank. I was not intending to use this bank to teach a youngster money management. I opened my account at Umpqua because they are local and I found the attempt to get my PPP small business loan through a national brand bank impossible to navigate. Sure, opening a new account took 4 flipping hours inside the bank. During, you know, the first 6 months of COVID. Getting the PPP paperwork done was easy. That was the last Umpqua experience that was easy or capable. Balance transfers between accounts? Capped, at 4th grad banking levels, not even at tiny solo operator business levels. I called, unhappily, for assistance with SO MANY BASIC THINGS my first two months with them that they recognize my voice. I kept the account open for a while, because I heard there was going to be another round of PPP. I can't believe this place is so fundamentally unable to do the work of supporting small business banking needs that I am going back to a hateful and unethical brand name bank. Because what I need from a bank is bank stuff. Nice people are great. I hope your 4th grade teacher was nice. I need my bank to bank, to manage my solo payroll, to just. flipping. bank. Zero stars. 100% do not recommend.

I have personal and business accounts with Umpqua bank, and have since day one here an reno when they took over for Nevada Security Bank. I can;t say enough about how much i LOVE this bank. I've worked with the SAME people there for YEARS. They recognize me, help me, and on many occasions have gone above and beyond in making something difficult happen. Did you know there is a phone in the loby that rings directly through to the President's Desk? If he's at his desk, HE PICKS UP and talks to you. Amazing. I'm especially impressed with the banks support of our local community. The branch (pre-covid, anyway) was a great community meeting spot and monthly features the products and services of a local small business. Whatever your banking needs, you'll be pleased with Umpqua. They're big enough to make big things happen (They are a preferred SBA lender, for example), but small enough to be an integral part of the community.

Car loan thru Umpqua. Went to trade in my car on a Saturday. Umpqua can't verify payoff on weekends. This is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard of. There will not be a new car loan thru Umpqua!

I think the person I talked to on the phone was Julie. She was INCREDIBLY rude and wouldn’t listen to what I had to say without assuming. She is condescending and needs to learn some human decency.

Never use this bank worst customer service experience ever. Be sure to get your CDs out in time if you’re one day over the maturity date they will assess you a $200 fee which is more than the amount of interest accrued on the CD. Closing all my accounts and I’m never coming back after this

After numerous issues with other banks of either one thing or another I decided enough was enough I ended up not banking with anyone period, it was about a month til I was told about Umpqua Bank and after going over and talking to a few tellers they made me comfortable an answer my questions. She went over numerous options that they offered an how it benefits me with banking with Umpqua. I have appreciated everything that they do for me and am always happy to stop in every week to see the Staff. They are without a doubt a bunch of heartfelt human beings, who not only see you as a number but whom remembers you by name. I love them all and wish nothing but the best for the company an the family of Umpqua Bank

I love this bank. I second the review regarding Anthony - a very courteous, friendly professional. Cookies and good coffee and tea are always there to greet you when you walk in for business. It's everything I want and need in a bank. My highest personal recommendation.

Awful bank. I signed up with Dumpqua 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive my debit card, so unless I go into the bank which has the exact hours as my work schedule, I cannot access my funds. They still live in the year 1982 and think checks are a sufficient way of service if you don't have a debit card. Their phone number doesn't even connect you to the actual bank, but rather a customer service center requiring you to be put on hold for 20 minutes at a time.

We moved to Reno in December from Chico, CA. We formed a pretty close-knit relationship with the kind humans there -- we feared switching banks among many other things. So far we have had nothing but the utmost professionalism, helpfulness, and get-it-done attitude from the folks at the Moana location. Our visits are short, sweet, & never a burden. Thanks Umpqua Reno! The individual who left the one star review needs a hug... When you set up a savings account (ANYWHERE), there is what is known as a MINIMUM BALANCE that is required in order to keep the account. So I'm sorry to say this but... It's your own damn fault. Sorry =|
