I do not usually come here as they typically carry the EXACT same stuff as the Reno location. Whereas the Carson City location not only has different products but also different sales. Quality/Quantity - Got one of each size of the discounted snow shoes! Actually I bought them all. Last time I looked, I only had two feet??? I got them for all my guests when they visit. If you are following, you know I am on this exercise kick! This has been on my list and to get it for $10 each! Normally they are around $80 each. I was so happy. Quite a few products that I believe the Reno location does not have, see pictures. Oh, and their gas was 1 cent cheaper than Reno's Costco. Atmosphere - Consistent except for the above. Today was also a generous sample day, I almost skipped dinner after shopping here. Actually, I gave my wife half my entree because I left here so full. Service - 5 stars. Demo sample team was good. The employees were friendly. Especially the two that I made small talk with showing them the snow shoes I was buying. Price - Great prices today! But as usual we overspent... When we find these sales, we buy it all whether we need them or not. I did not even look at all the stuff my wife bought because all I could think about was my future hikes. :) With my $10 snow shoes, LOL. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2006. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. Now you are the 5th largest retailer in the world and #10 on the Fortune 500. 804 warehouses worldwide, with 558 in the US. 1980 IPO. 1993 Price Club and Costco merger. 1997 Rebrand all locations to Costco. 2020 105.5 million members.

I purchased my hearing aids from Costco. The service and testing was outstanding. Jenell was very patient and informative. Today I went back for an adjustment and to my complete satisfaction Jenell went above and beyond to help me. Thank you Jenell.

I've never considered writing a review for Costco. I've been a business executive member for years and have found this location easy to park, shop, etc. The gas station can be a bit of a hot mess during the day but the inconveniences were always pretty minor. This review is specifically regarding their new carding policy at self checkout and the way it's being handled by employees. People were pretty disgruntled when Costco added self-checkout. I don't think people like feeling like they have a second job when they're paying a lot of money for groceries. I found it be convenient because as a single person, I might run in to Costco to pick up something specific rather than a cart full of groceries and I don't want to stand in a line behind someone shopping for their restaurant or convenience store to check out. I found myself on an appointment in Sparks this past week and decided to run in to Costco after because I needed milk. That's it. I was on a mission, so I did not grab a cart. I knew I could comfortably carry my box of 3 half gallon milk cartons without an issue. I travel light these days, so I have my Costco app set up and leave my physical card at home. I showed it at the door and made my way to the refrigerated section. Problem is, it's easy to get distracted at Costco. I saw a box of 90 second Cilantro Lime rice at the end of the aisle and decided that should come home with me. Then as I got closer to the milk I saw the Suja immunity shots - and I've been sick twice in the past 3 weeks so I obviously felt I could benefit from having those available. Then I made it to the milk. So I've got my hands full... then spot new frozen PB+Js with STRAWBERRY JELLY?! My weakness. So I stacked the rice, pbj and immunity shots in my left hand and held my 3 pack of milk in my right. It was sketchy. Before I got to the front the immunity shots slid off the top and busted open when they hit the floor. I stack it all back up but it's even more precarious with an open box of like, 10 tiny bottles. I finally make it to self checkout and spot an open check out (sweet relief) so I start to make my way over to it when I am stopped by an employee asking to check my card. I clearly have no free hands to pull out a card. As I continued walking I ask, "Can I set this stuff down first?" He meets me at the register and then says to me - "Next time I can just hold your stuff so you can get your card out." Bffr right now - did he not just see me struggling? Does he think that would have saved anyone time or it just would have saved him a couple of steps?? Anyway, I pull out my phone, show my card and kindly let him know that his solution would not have been reasonable given the amount of stuff I was carrying. He walked away. Now I ring up my stuff and as I get my card out to pay I'm looking around for a box because I wasn't about to struggle all the way to my car with 4 loose items. At the Reno location there are usually boxes stacked in between the self checkout registers. I see a different employees standing close by ready to help people scan big items, etc and ask if there are boxes available. He points to 2 different spots, a big rolling cart filled with boxes about 50' in front of the registers my the front office door or 50' to the right on some unused check out lanes. So I had to leave my stuff unattended to find a box, leaving the check out lane unavailable for anyone else to use in the mean time. As a long time member I just found this to be annoying and can't see how anyone in Costco management would find this efficient at all. I really don't have a problem with them checking cards but verify at the door. Maybe you need some retired nightclub bouncers up there so people know you mean business after decades of being so lax about it.

I go to Costco probably once every week or maybe twice I love Costco. I am so glad they are in Sparks they and their employees are great helpers so again, check out Costco because they are the best and their snack, bar, and their pizza and their hotdogs. You can't find that anywhere for the price

Between the two, this is is my favorite Costco to do my shopping at. The parking lot is easily accessible, the gas line is never too long, and the employees are all so friendly. The store is laid out well and it's easy to find what you're looking for. It is always organized and clean. Their clothing area is never overcrowded or full of mountains of clothing as the staff are very attentive to keeping it neat. The food court can get a bit busy and backed up, but it's never too big an issue. I'm always in the mood for a hotdog or slice of pizza - you just can't beat the price for a quick bite to eat!

Eh, the lines are always long and you got the people always making you show your card 5 freaking times, it's stupid, we pay for your items, I never leave spending less then 300$ and you want to harass me about my picture? Makes me want to go to Sam's club, where they don't do that and they have scan as you go. It's rad! SHOP AT SAM'S CLUB YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

I just ordered some snow tires and these folks replaced it for me, but my experience was better than just changing my tires. First of all, they did their best and made time to change my tires before the storm despite their busy schedule. Yes, second of all, my steering wheel was very stiff and when I got the tires replaced, it became so soft, and I realize that they went beyond the job description and added some fluid to the steering wheel which I greatly appreciate. The folks were very friendly and knowledgeable, and I would always go there again.

Great store. Always find what we want. I would love it if they had an app like Sam's for quick check out.

It's definitely not the lowest priced place in town to get quality products, but at least it's not the highest either. It's like all the others in town in that You really have to pay attention to their pricing. Also not enough personal to help or answer questions. It used to be so much better before Bidenomics is the norm.

For a big box store, they are better than most. They have a wide variety, a good selection, and quality products.I don't consider most of the new hires quality employees. They seem disinterested and unmotivated...but the ones that have been around a while take pride in what they do.Their gas prices are the best in town.

I went to this cosco with my girlfriend to purchase groceries for her grandmother who is in here 80s. We didn't know that the policy made us unable to purchase groceries without the cardholder being present. We've never had a issue with that. When the cashier told us we couldn't use the card she used a rude tone and even after we told her our situation she didn't give us a solution other than "who is going to pay for it". I know that doesn't represent the company but I'm disappointed.

The store is very clean and the aisles are wide and roomy. Their clothes area is very well kept. You can actually find your sizes in neatly piled stacks! I get they have to check your receipt on the way out, but this last time we went, the guy took over 5 minutes to review EVERY single item. It's rather annoying, but it's Costco!
