I am only giving this place one star because there is no ZERO star. This place is a joke. I brought my diesel van there twice. First time it took over a month and then I had to call them to see what was going on. I called and they said it was fixed. I picked up my van, paid $1400 dollars. A month later I left out of town. On the way home I broke down on the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere, somewhere outside of Elko, NV. My son did some research based on what I described was happening with the van. He told me what to do to get the van home, (and that this issue was a common occurrence in the Duramax diesel vans) I made it home. I called Wayne's automotive and told them that it did the same thing I had initially brought the van in to be fixed for and they told me to bring it down. I brought the info that explained exactly what to do to resolve (fix) the issue AND the exact $25 dollar part needed also. A MONTH later I had to call them to see what was going on with my van. They stated they could not get the van to duplicate what I told them the van was doing. I asked them why they didn't just do what I asked them to do as I had given them the information on what was wrong with the van and how to fix it AND the exact part needed. They had no explanation except to repeat that they couldn't get it to duplicate what I explained it was doing. On my way home the van was so loud and hot. The engine cover wasn't on right. I marked the screws at the bottom of both front seats and took it back. They took it in, said they put the engine cover back on. It was still loud and hot so I had to do it myself when I got home. The sticks that I had shoved into the top of the screws were all still wedged into the top of the screws. I took the seat out (can't get the engine cover off without taking one of the seats out) and the rubber seal was in the ENGINE! It took me hours to get it back on correctly. They never offered to make it right. They put 80 miles on the van AND there was a dent with white paint on the back bumper. I wouldn't take a vehicle of any kind to this shop. They are dishonest, liars, not knowledgeable, thorough OR professional. I am consulting with my attorney to file a claim/suit against them for my $1400 dollars back.

So this review is about my experience. I did not have any work done but the car was there for 2 weeks. It was for check engine light in my buick. They were nice enough but not sure why they would make a appointment if they were too busy to work on my issue. So I picked up the car because I was not comfortable with their lack of work

I have taken my car to a couple of mechanics recently but still had trouble with the stupid check engine light coming on. I have to say they were kind and professional although really busy did take the time to really figure out what was going on with my car. It drives and sounds like a new car with no check engine light!

Wayne's Automotive is a group full of wonderful mechanics. Andro is so knowledgeable and kind, and makes sure to let you know every process they're doing. Being a single woman who doesn't know much about cars, I'm an "easy target" for getting taken advantage of when it comes to price gouging but I've NEVER had to be concerned when taking my car to Wayne's!

I believe Wayne's automotive did a really good job for what they did to my truck. They were very professional and took me in even though I was late on my appointment. I thought they might have been a little pricey but you get what you pay for and they really showed the quality of the work, everything looked very clean. Thank you very much!

Horrible customer service!! And the mechanics are lazy liars! I got jerked around for over a week and months later I still do not have a quote for my repairs! As a brand new customer I was treated like crap! If you do not want new business then say so instead of stringing them along! Do not waste your time or money at this place!

Horrible customer service and mechanics. They will not return your calls and when they finally do it a bunch of excuses and lies. My vehicle literally sat at there for over a week. None of my issues were addressed. When I finally showed up to get my vehicle to take it elsewhere since they clearly did not want my business or they were to lazy to do the repairs. I was told I would get a qoute and still months later I still have not received anything. Do not waste your time or money at this shop unless you want to get jerked around and lied to!

We had our Diesel truck towed in with a coolant leak. After having it for a week we were told the inner cooler was bad. Paid $3400 to have it replaced and were assured this was the reason for the coolant leak. Picked up our truck, drove it home and IT STILL LEAKED COOLANT. Nothing had changed. Employees from Wayne's came and picked it up, even though they should have paid to have it towed back. After having our truck sit there for an additional two weeks with no word from ANYONE at Wayne's, we called only to be told our truck needed an entirely new engine. We were assured by Andro he would be getting information together for us to file a claim with our warranty company. He even had me email him all of the information on the warranty itself. After another two and a half weeks had passed with ZERO FOLLOW UP from anyone at Wayne's, we had finally had enough of the horrible communication and lack of service. They couldn't even definitively tell us what was wrong or how/if it could be fixed. Completely ridiculous. After repeated haggling with employees and THE OWNER, we finally received $1600 reimbursement of the $3400 we paid for unnecessary repairs they did on our truck that never even addressed or repaired the reason it was brought to them in the first place. They should have refunded the entire amount seeing as how they never even fixed our truck, obviously never even figured out why it was leaking coolant and repeatedly assured us the $3400 repair was all that was needed for it to be fixed. They obviously do not stand behind their work. We will definitely be spreading the word about their business practices. Edit: See the comment below from the owner. Complete garbage. Not even addressing the unnecessary repair his business performed all while assuring us that was all that was needed to repair our vehicle. If a truck needs an entirely new engine why wouldn't you address that with the owner prior to charging them $3400 and ASSURING them that was all that was needed for it to run correctly?! Completely unethical. Also, refusing to stand behind your work and simply issue a FULL refund as YOU AND YOUR TECHS DID NOT FIX OUR TRUCK OR DIAGNOSE IT CORRECTLY TO BEGIN WITH. It's your JOB. That's what people pay you for, so yes, you should have known. You didn't even fix the coolant leak! Again, complete garbage. Our personal situation as far as the purchase of the vehicle has nothing to do with you, what does is how you treated good people who deserved honesty. Isn't that word written on your wall? Laughable.

Amazing customer service. I was in a bind, my truck had lost towing power. We have Horse show coming up this week. Our regular diesel mechanic could not fit us in for two weeks. Since my trailer is a GN hitch finding a truck was impossible as the show is an hour away. My husband frantically called multiple shops, same story at least a week out. As a new customer to Wayne's, they welcomed the truck, told us they'd fit it in between jobs. I was pretty sure it was the AC compressor. That afternoon they called with a diagnostic report, yes, it is AC Compressor. With in 24 hours it was fixed, and they stayed with in their quote. They now have our business! So so grateful! Thank you!

I was at a friend's house when my 2006 Jeep Liberty "Check Engine" light came on. The friend was a welding artist who built custom cars. He looked at it and the water pump had issues and it had white smoke out of the exhaust. I called my dealer and they were too busy to even look at it. My favorite yoga studio owner, Mike F. of Yoga Pod Reno told me that Dan Oakley worked on all of his cars. Since Dan supported YogaPodReno, Mike supported Dan. Another friend Kevin R. takes his BMW to Dan's specialty BMW by the Costco near the airport. Yet another friend Karen H. that owns Vino 100 recognized the two shops because Dan hired Karen's brother Phil H. Of Carson City BBQ to cater a rib lunch at Dan's two shops. I called Dan's ( Wayne's Auto )... Andro told me that although they were busy they could take a look at the Jeep if I brought it in. They snuck it in between jobs to give me an estimate. I had the head gaskets redone. I also had a price quote from Goodyear that I asked Dan's shop manager Andro, if he could match or beat the quote. He did. Shortly after the repair I noticed a few concerns. I took pictures and emailed them to Dan. His crew resolved them all at no cost. Stacy, the front office receptionist, was cordial, nice and helpful to me in all of my transactions. I will be back for future routine maintenance like oil changes and installation of a LED headlight upgrade...

Great service. I had my vehicle towed to Wayne's after hours on Monday and they checked it out first thing Tuesday morning. Wednesday morning and I already have my car back with a new radiator put in it. Very fast, friendly, professional service, and the bill was cheaper than the initial quote I was given. If you're like me and have struggled to find an efficient and honest mechanic in the area, I highly recommend Wayne's Automotive Center! I'd give 6 stars if I could.

We are from out of town and our check engine light went on. No Ford dealers or other Diesel shops would take a look during the busy Hot August Nights but Tony from Wayne's was great and took time out of his busy day to diagnose our issue. Thank you!
