Here is my story:
I Took my stihl 500i in for an unknown rattle. I got a call back 1 week later saying it needed a new oil pump and they would have it back to me in a couple weeks time. Fast forward 7 weeks later and I am told they just ordered the parts cause they can only do orders over $500 otherwise they have to charge the customer shipping fees. I should have been informed of that from the get go. 2 more weeks go by before I finally get my saw back. Larry had to light a fire under the “mechanics” a** to get it done. Took it home and tested it out. The saw was not oiling. I took it back to the shop. Got it back a couple days later. Now the saw doesn’t even run. Took it back again. I get a call that afternoon and am informed the saw has a scored piston and is not worth repairing. Bret, admitted to me that the “mechanic” is not even a certified stihl saw mechanic. He is what they call an “engine mechanic.” Larry was the only person to offer anything that resembled customer service. Thank you Larry, you are the reason I am giving a 2 star review instead of a 1 star review.
I am now out a $1500 saw and the $330 I paid for the labor and parts that they put on a broken saw. The kicker, the saw was only 3 years old and had a light amount of use. In conclusion, this was the most disappointing customer service experience I’ve ever had in my entire lifetime. Unless you are purchasing a new piece of equipment off the showroom floor, I recommend taking your small engine servicing needs elsewhere.

The sales dept is great, but the Service department has a new Supervisor and has the mechanics finishing the services in time like never before.

I don’t have a bad thing to say about this farm supplier machinery of all types including residential and forestry, I had my chainsaw repaired there and purchase many items for my tractor at this location, always in stock.

Horrible customer service. Gary is the worst to deal with. His famous saying is "Nope not in stock ... if I order it , it could take years to get here" if the item is not in stock he will not assist. Take your business elsewhere if you need service.

My family had dealt with NVP for years having purchased a couple tractors and multiple smaller tools, chainsaws and the like. In the last couple years their quality survive has gone way downhill. I brought in our tractor to be serviced and have a fuel system looked at and they never resolved the problem and took several weeks to do so. After getting it back and trying to resolve myself I replaced the fuel filters and on one of the their staffs suggestion bought a fuel pump. The pump didn’t work correctly only, produced a minor amount of flow. I took it back and they tested it in a bucket to see if it worked, which it produced a light flow and they said it worked. This is not an adequate test for a fuel pump that has to draw from a line with a filter and pressurize another filter to get to the valves. I had a mechanic test the system and the pump prior to taking it in and he said it was bad and didn’t produce adequate pressure. The owner Larry refused to refund the cost of the part that his employee suggested and then proceed to be belligerent. There are other places to get the products this store carries, not worth dealing with terrible service and a store racing towards the bottom.

Not recommend! I brought my brand new 2022 Honda Snowblower into Nevada Power Products for a transmission issue this past winter. I dropped off the machine in March 2023. Nevada Power Products called me In August 2023 saying they installed a new transmission and ready for pick up. When I arrived to pick up the snowblower it was hardly recognizable. The machine had been sitting in the sun for months and was severely faded and sun damaged. The snow blower would not start. They forklifted the snow blower into my truck. As I moved the machine forward some parts fell out of the bottom. The mechanic did not know what they belonged to.After several phone calls to the owner/ manager with no response, I decided to take the snow blower to another mechanic. The mechanic stated that a new transmission was never installed. I called Honda and they confirmed a transmission for this machine was never ordered. Not only did Nevada Power Products lie about the repair they further damaged the machine by leaving in the sun for months. If you value your equipment I would highly recommend staying far away from this shop.Nevada Power Products is negligent and damage equipment. Cost me significant time and money dealing with this company. RUN AWAY!

I've been shopping around town for a tractor and this was a must stop location, as they are the Kubota and John Deere dealer for Reno. I walked in and was "greeted" by a very uncaring employee who acted like I was a waste of time. When asked for a price sheet, he said" we don't do those, you have to build it". Ok, very strange business practice. Another employee then came out and said "about $X amount for the Kubota, and add $3k to that for the John Deere. No tractor info, no contact information, no real price and no care in the world if I did any business there. Featherlite (Mahindra tractors), S&W Tractor (KIOTI) and Bobcat of Reno all went out of their way to give me all the information on the tractor I was interested in, gave a detailed price sheet with financing options if needed, and walked me around showing me the tractors. I highly recommend these other business or an out of town Kubota/John Deere dealership for your tractor/equipment needs.

This business is horrible. I asked them to order a part for my Honda outboard. They are the only local dealer for Honda. The person answering the phone said no we won't order for you. I called auburn Marine in Loomis Ca and they ordered the part for me. I would not recommend Nevada Power Products for anything. This is not the first time I encountered poor service. The first was on my Honda weed wacker I bought from them several years ago. It needed a new fuel line and they could help me there either. Don't waste your time here. I like Honda but the next purchase I make won't be Honda because of this place. On top of that they are not willing to answer any technical questions (probably because they don't have the knowledge) and if fact get rude when questioned about details.

Very professional. Bryan is very knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. This is the only place we trust for outdoor tools.
