They're now charging $25 just to park. And the gate is half way in the parking lot so you're kinda committed to it. What the hell!?!?!?! I will never spend another dollar here. I used to love this place. Honestly, it's a shithole now. Never again will you get 1 dollar from me or my family.

Sell it to someone who wants it to improve and be fun to play and stay. There are good places to eat. But nothing left to do afterwards.

The staff of the hotel was very helpful and it was a very clean hotel, didn't smell like a normal casino filled with smoke.

Harveys is one of the staple hotels in South Lake Tahoe. The casino has looked the same for decades, but it is pretty clean considering its age. There is an arcade just below the casino. There is a bar area with dueling pianos on the weekend night hours. If you are craving a nice steak dinner, Hells kitchen is located in the casino. During my stay, there was construction going on for another restaurant called Wolf. Based on the decor, it looks like it is going to be really nice. There are escalators located near the casino tables that will lead you to an underground walkway. The walkway leads you to a Mexican restaurant or you can walk to Harrah casino without walking outside. The gym was adequate with free weights, machines, treadmills and other cardio machines. There were also three peloton bicycles. The pool was closed during my stay for unknown reasons. The rooms on the other hand can really use some help. They are really starting to show their age and there is only one outlet in the bedroom. In all, not a bad hotel for the price.

I do not usually write review but I have to mention, Jaylyn, a drink attendant on the casino was fantastic. Always a beautiful smile and great attitude. She made my experience very pleasurable. You need more staff like Jaylyn! She is a great front face representing Harrah's. Thank you Jaylyn for making my visit to Harrah's very enjoyable.

Having been a Harveys and Harrahs customer for many years, it's sad to see the decline these past two decades..... Harvey Gross and Bill Harrah must be spinning in their graves! Buildings and facilities in terrible shape, resort fees where there is no resort, (Hot tub out of order for two years now at Harveys.... really??) having to pay to park... at a CASINO? Oh HELL no! Business Manager Ryan B. has been in place since Caesar's owned it, prior to El Dorado's current ownership - I'm sure it's not a fun job. That said, over the past three years or so I've begun to wonder if "he" and his generic replies to customer issues aren't just some early, sub-standard version of A.I. - it never addresses the actual issue in the review, always generic, sorry you didn't like this or that, blah blah blah. I don't know if El Dorado plans on putting any real money into improving their Tahoe properties, but it certainly doesn't appear so. Not one of the So. Lake casinos have a decent 24 hour or late night dining option - have you tried to get cocktail service on the casino floor lately?.... Harvey's doesn't even have a place to get breakfast. Harveys is dying a slow, inglorious death, along with the rest of the Stateline casino corridor - we won't be back to gamble there. Better to hit No. CA Indian casino resorts where they are actual resorts, maintain their properties, have decent dining options and don't charge you to park to throw away your money in their casinos. Times change, some things get better, some not so much.... I'm not holding my breath waiting to see Harveys restore some of the shine and polish of it's past - it's not going to happen.

Bullshit, bullshit. I bought a luxury room but it just looked like a small, cramped apartment. I know they are trying to keep us safe from burns, but a microwave isn't gonna burn you or anything. You have to walk down to the service room and microwave your food and go back up again. I mean it's not that bad to go down to the service room and microwave your food but it's like a waste of time. This hotel isn't good for a family. They also don't really have internet on the TV, I feel like they do that because they want people to spend money on the casino.

Been locked in my room for an hour plus. The door lock is broken and I cannot get out... maintenance is working on getting the door open. I can't get out the adjacent room because the tenants aren't there and cannot be reached. This is ridiculous.

The service and everything about this place is absolutely horrible. Won't stay here again! Quincy "the lead" at the front desk's customer service explains why Harvey's ratings are so bad. She is in a position she shouldn't be in.

I had the worst time placing a bet in one of the sportsbook kiosks on the Harrahs side. When I put in a $100 bill the kiosk showed the $100 credit and when I placed my bet the screen went blank, said an error occurred and said "retry", when I pressed it it rebooted the kiosk and when it showed the regular screen the $100 was gone, no bet confirmation and no ticket. I called the "kiosk phone" 5 times and no one answered, no one was at the desk, I asked a security guard, a guy in a suit, a guy in a bowling shirt and 3 other people that all said the same thing "I don't know let me ask someone...I didn't see "someone" until almost two hours after the kiosk ate my money. Finally by the "Grace" of God "Grace" from the gift shop cares about my situation and made sure someone came to help me. Justin the security guard was helpful too and seemed to have empathy for me like Grace, they told me to go to Harvey's sports book to see if they could help me there, I waited in line and then spoke with Gus who seemed to know my situation and texted Apollo. I sat and waited and Apollo came who was the head guy there. He knows customer service well and could read my dejected body language and made conversation with me to lighten the mood, reassured me he would take care of me. Saw my jacket and related to me, whether he was from there or not it doesn't matter, he accomplished the goal of making me feel heard and that I would finally be taken care of. I only wish I had gotten his help sooner and then I would have given 5 stars even though the kiosk ate my money. The amount of people and time it took to get resolved was almost 3 hours while my family was waiting for me to place a "quick Super Bowl bet". They found my bet in the data base and resolved it for me. Just a really long experience for someone who doesn't bet much at all but maybe 1 time a year. If the kiosk m as functions on the Harrahs side don't bother calling the phone and if no one is at the sports desk on the Harrahs side go straight to the Harvey's sports desk and ask to speak to a manager so you don't end up like me wasting 3 hours away from my kids for one stupid bet, learned my lesson even if I never bet just never bet. Thank you again to security guard Justin, gift shop Grace, Gus sports book supervisor and big thanks to Apollo.

The good, very nice room. Now the rest. The place is falling apart and they are not fixing it. Fire code violations include fire doors propped open.T hey charge for parking even when you stay there. The hot tub has been broken for more than 2 years and yet you still have to pay a $30 a day resort fee. This is a ski area where you want a hot tub after a long day on the slopes. Numerous escalators broken. Casino is dead during the week, no energy. Hell's Kitchen was good but over priced for the serving size. Front desk personnel were not friendly, but they don't want to deal with you, they want you to use the computers to check in. The corporation is killing the experience. Good luck!

Just took away 2 stars from my review of the hotel. The managements response to my review was cut and paste. Looks like they give the same response to all unsatisfactory reviews, maybe change a word here and there, but definitely did not take it serious . I did reach out and nothing happened, that's why I gave it a bad review. Wasn't asking for refund or upgrade on a room just a place that listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of their guests. Thanks for nothing.

After 30 plus years of going to Lake Tahoe and primarily staying at Harvey's, it's getting harder and harder to return to this hotel. Prices are going up, service and amenities are going down. I tried to talk to the manager tonight about my issues here and she seemed determined to strike down all my issues and deny any issues exist. We booked a room in the old tower and she used that as the reason that we should accept non functioning hot tub, burnt out light bulbs, peeling wall paper, broken furniture and escalator, poor/limited service, humming phone, missing pictures on the wall, deteriorating public rest rooms, etc.

Harvey's Mountain Tower...Lake Tower? I'm not going to tell you the answer. But every time I go, I think it's been a four star room when it isn't red. Harahs vs Harveys? If you are a table guy, Harrahs is probably your thing. Sports,...Harveys.

The rooms are nice, but no room service for the 4 days we were here was disappointing. The machines are so tight here that it made it so that you didn't even enjoy gambling. We've been to many casinos but have never seen the machines that never pay out more than 2x. You knew you were not going to win anything so you were just wasting money. It got so bad that we just quit playing all together. We watched the people around us and no one was winning and we did not see one hand pay given. Security seemed light in the casino as we were stuck hearing a guy screaming at his wife for over 10 min before he finally walked away in his own. Security never arrived. Sadly I do not think we'll be back. The scenic beauty here is amazing but the gambling is terrible and that's why people are here.
