This review is about Frank. Frank is the best bartender at all of the Heavenly lodges. I was having trouble getting my pass to work to pay for my drink and he was hella patient. He remembers all of the locals. And our drink orders. The drinks are good and strong despite heavenly prices. Frank knows like 500 variations on the classic Irish coffee. Cheers to Frank, the hero of Heavenly. Boulder lodge is less frequented because of the slower lift and the green runs but honestly this is that hometown lodge feel that Heavenly generally lacks.

We were Heavenly customers before Vail Resorts bought them in March of 2002. Our season pass also applies to Northstar, acquired in October 2010, and Kirkwood, acquired in April 2012. I am very happy with all the acquisitions; I feel I am getting a better value from my season pass. Quality/Quantity - Today's conditions were DANGEROUS - Icy and extremely windy, adding a wind chill. Today they closed all the CA lifts due to a wind hold. So we were only able to use the 4 lifts here on the NV side. This side of the mountain is perfect for beginners. Not a lot of people, due to the limited parking and slow chair lifts. Also had a small lodge. Easy green runs. Even a "magic carpet" for the first timers. My favorite lifts and runs are at Stagecoach. Long lift, long runs, and even less people. Two seasons ago, I broke my vertical record here at Heavenly with my daughter!! And on a Sunday! Atmosphere - See above. Small parking lot, but not a problem when I come with the boys as we get here way too early. Open 7 days a week from 9am to 4pm, on weekends from 8:30am to 4pm; Yelp hours differ. Check the website for more accurate hours. This lodge does close more often than all the others, I think just not enough demand...? Service - Plenty of employees today, thank you. Price - I have a season pass. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your successes with your 37 resorts in 3 countries. Look forward to skiing as many of your properties as possible.

I love this location. It's so easy to get in and out. Plenty of parking, no incline compare to Stagecoach. Restroom is on the bottom floor of Bolder lodge. The lift is easy to get too. Less people. If you have little ones,. I highly recommend coming here. Make sure Boulder is open before coming.

Super friendly and helpful staff.Bit more expensive then renting equipment in town but with the added convenience of skiing in and out.

Wanted to take the time to write this review to compliment the Boulder Heavenly staff they were so helpful and understanding when the snowstorm kicked in and the two major accidents did not allow for the shuttle to go from lodge to lodge. Great service and caring for our situation. I wanted to give a special shout-out to the bartender called "Keily or Keely" for her great service and is the sweetest human on earth. They were nice enough to give my partner, best friend, and me a ride to our hotel since our car got stuck and the shuttle would only take us to state lines. All we had was our ski equipment and would have to walk to the hotel with everything. They, out of the kindest of the heart after their shift took us. Next time I go to Heavenly that is the only lodge I will be going to.

Always busy on weekends. My suggestion is to arrive at least by 8:00am on weekends. This will give you a good parking spot and time to dress. Arrival at that time gives you a good chance at being 100-300' from the snow...an east walk with gear and boom! you're skiing. There is a small lodge with cafeteria, restrooms, and equipment rental. The ski school also has an office opposite the lodge near the lift ticket office and chairlift. The boulder lift is old and slow. I've heard it's getting replaced soon but who knows.

Boulder is typically the last free lot at Heavenly to fill on weekends, so it is worth knowing about. No need to get up and down a gondola is another benefit. However, the base area is all greens and it takes two long and slow lifts to get to the rest of the mountain.

Not as crowded as the other lifts.
