After my stay at the Perennial Vacation Club's Eagles Nest, I've come to the conclusion that this place deserves a resounding one-star rating. Here's the lowdown on this less-than-stellar experience.Outdated Security Measures:In an age where digital convenience is king, this place clings to old-fashioned keys for room and building access. It's 2024, and keycards are the norm, yet here we are, fumbling with metal keys like it's a 1990s sitcom.Random Lockdowns:To add to the frustration, the building gets locked at the most arbitrary times. Imagine returning from a day out, only to find yourself locked out of the building. It's not just inconvenient; it's borderline absurd.Service? What Service?:Don't come here expecting helpful staff. They seem more like decorative pieces than actual support. Any sense of hospitality or guest care seems to be a foreign concept at this establishment.A Price That Defies Logic:The hefty price tag of around $1,700 for a stay here is baffling, especially considering the lack of amenities and service. It's like paying for a luxury car and getting a rundown bicycle.Chore-Heavy Stay:Prepare to do your own dishes and take out the trash, or face additional charges. For the price being paid, this just adds insult to injury. It feels more like a rented apartment with a list of chores than a vacation resort. Conclusion:The Perennial Vacation Club's Eagles Nest is a stark reminder that not all vacation spots are created equal. With its outdated practices, lack of basic amenities, and unhelpful staff, it's a wonder how this place is still in business.Final Rating:One star - and that's only because zero isn't an option. It's a prime example of a vacation gone wrong, a place where relaxation is replaced with frustration and disappointment.Sincerely,An Incredibly Disappointed Guest, Anonymous

Came here with my girlfriend and her family just before Christmas, could not have asked for a better place to stay. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable, hot water works VERY well. Highly recommend!Rooms: Clean and comfortable, walls are kinda thin but not problematically so.Nearby activities: Skiing, of course, but a lot of family activities in Tahoe.Food & drinks: There are a TON of food and drink options nearby, very easy to eat somewhere different every day.

Beautiful view and wonderful rooms, everything was reasonably priced and well maintained. Our location (top floor) had a lot of stairs, so be wary if they aren't your strong suit.

Nice place. Had to go to main building to check in. A little confusing. Enjoyed our unit once we checked in. Washer and dryer in our unit. Nice and peaceful where we were.

Nice little condo for our week stay. The condo has a kitchen with everything we needed to cook lunch or dinner. The bathroom was small but it's fine since it fit my two kids. I appreciated the washer and dryer in unit!!

Great people! Bought my timeshare there 40 years ago! You don't have to sell your timeshare if you cannot use it anymore, they will take it back!

This is probably more of an informational rather than a review. We one a weeks stay here at a fundraiser so we didn’t know much about the place and their offerings we just knew we wanted to ski Heavenly! This address is for the Eagles Nest property which is where you check in. They also seem to have a few rooms there and they would all have beautiful views. There is also a bar here but not sure how often it is open. The rest of their properties are down the hill a ways on Galaxy Way.None of their properties should be considered ski in ski out. You can walk downhill a bit from eagles nest and drop in or walk a ways up from the Galaxy Way properties to the stagecoach lift. Or you can drive and park in the lot but if you do this, be there first thing in the am because the lots fill up quickly. Our unit in the rockwood building had two (small) bedrooms and one bath and oddly a sink in one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom had a small washer and dryer. The kitchen was appointed well with linen, detergent, sponge and soap but nothing to cook with like oil, salt or pepper. There was coffee for a few pots and some cream and sugar packs. The living room had a comfortable couch that was a pull out but we didn’t use it. Would also say that it would be pretty tight with 6 people for a week here.We were here during the massive storms of Jan 2023 so as a general psa you’ll want all wheel or 4 wheel drive and chains if your here in the winter. Also, keep in mind that with the storms there is wind, snow, ice and the lifts will close. This year there were also electrical issues that caused the whole NV side to be closed. If the stagecoach lift is closed you can drive to the California side where the lifts seem to be more likely to be open. However, the California side is often super crowded. There is also shuttle that goes around but not that frequently. There is not much around the place to do at night, half a mile walk to the local watering hole of Fox and Hound. Makes it easier to get up in the morning to get those turns in!

We've been members for more than 25 years. We come here every year and never tire of it. The beauty of the area, the hustle and bustle of the city, and the caring staff of perennial keep us coming back year after year without fail.

We stayed at the Perennial Vacation Club Tahoe Village. There are several buildings, all have stairs, some have many, many stairs. If you have a physical disability, or have issues walking stairs, than this not the place for you. Make sure you bring someone strong and in good shape and not have a heart attack carrying all the luggage up the stairs. All guest check-in at Eagles Nest. The front desk staff are some of the nicest people you will meet. You will receive a parking pass and a physical key to your unit.We stayed in a 2bed/1bath unit. It can sleep up to six, but I would only recommend four. It's not a big unit. The unit had everything you needed to cook meals. The hot water doesn't last long so don't plan on taking a long shower. I never had an issue since my shower is within 60 seconds. We booked this place at the last moment since our usual resort wasn't available. This place doesn't have all the bells and whistle but we still had a good time. This wouldn't be my first choice or second, but I would stay here again since I like the area.

Beware: lots and lots and lots of stairs!!!! The buildings are old, plumbing is old, and walls are paper thin. Parking lot still had snow a week after it snowed so it's icy. My building had an additional steep driveway I had to walk up and the 4 flights of stairs to get to my unit. I read the reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor so I was prepared. I had my expectations set low so the experience for me was okay. I wanted to ski for a week during the holidays and this place was the only option left with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. This review is for "Tahoe Village" location and not the "Eagle's Nest" building. Check in was at Eagle's next, but then you have to drive down passed Heavenly Stagecoach and the 5 Tahoe Village buildings are at the bottom. I was at the Ridgeway building. I expected lots and lots and lots of stairs so I was prepared. I didn't know I would also have to walk up a steep & icy driveway to get to the building. They allow you to drive up the driveway to load & unload, but parking is at the bottom. When we checked in, the driveway had icy snow so we carefully walked up lugging all of our stuff.Ridgeway is mostly 2 bedrooms starting at the 2nd floor (unit#I), then 3rd floor (unit#A,B,C,D), then the 3 bedroom is on the 4th floor. Our unit (#D) was outdated, but clean! Beds were okay, but sofa was old. The carpets were clean and the kitchen was fully functional. The walls are so thin, you can hear upstairs footsteps and conversations. When the upstairs flushed the toilet or takes a shower, it sounds like a waterfall is coming down on your unit. It's very loud! Also when upstairs did laundry, it feels like your unit is shaking because the laundry is old and loud. The other thing to note is the very limited hot water. Taking a bath is out of the question because the hot water only last for a 15 minute shower and then turns cold. We had 4 people and had to wait 1 hour between each shower. A short shower is not relaxing when you come home after skiing all day.The staff was very nice and friendly when I went to ask for more toilet paper & Kleenex.Overall this was not a bad option for skiing at Heavenly. We drove to Boulder and it was easier then parking at Stagecoach.Next year, I hope to go back to the Holiday Inn Ridge Tahoe properties instead. It's just much nicer, cozier, and I could take a nice bath.

The advertised pictures do not match the actual unit. When you booked the Eagle's Nest, you better have wings so you can fly up to your room. Why...? Because you have a minimum of 3 stories of climbing and this building doesn't have an elevator. We didn't find this out until we got to the property. Walking up the stairs would be fine if we didn't have all of our gear and luggage. Not to mention the groceries, water, and everything else we had to carry up. Oh.. and what goes up, must come down. We stayed there for a week and it was terrible to walk up all these stairs after skiing all day. Why didn't the resorts mentioned there was no elevator? Oh because if they did, no one would stay there. (for that you get 1 star) Everything else was just okay.

Top notch service and experience. I always stay at the Eagle's Nest and am always thrilled with the experience. Tha natural beauty and stellar staff combined with the beautifully maintained vintage property are the stand outs here. We've been owners at Perennial Vacation Club since the mid 80's and highly recommended it!

We visit here every other year and love it every time. This year because of the Calder Fire, a lot of things are shut down but the area is beautiful and I enjoy the mountains and the peace and quiet. Benefits of the same Calder Fire - not so many people so it's even more peaceful.
