Bally's Lake Tahoe offers a convenient location close to the attractions and activities in South Lake Tahoe. The hotel features spacious bathrooms and a large indoor pool with a hot tub, making it suitable for families and relaxation. Some rooms are clean and comfortable, with a huge shower that is helpful for travelers with babies. However, the overall condition of the hotel and casino appears worn and outdated, with signs of wear and tear on carpets, walls, elevators, and furniture. The property seems to be undergoing construction, which affects the overall experience. The smell of cigarettes and stale air can be noticeable, and cleanliness is inconsistent, with reports of leftover pillows, chairs, and popcorn on floors. Room service can be slow, and finding bottled water is difficult when bars are closed, with most vending machines out of water. Staff friendliness varies; some are helpful, such as VIP hosts, while others seem less trained or less enthusiastic. The casino is less busy compared to nearby ones and feels dated. Despite these issues, guests appreciate the friendly staff and the entertainment options, like the energetic 80s show. The hotel’s beauty and location are positives, but cleanliness, maintenance, and modern updates are needed to improve the overall experience.
Their exercise room had 4 broken machines and super old equipment!! Ballys was a fitness place so you would think they would have a better fitness Center!!! Harrahs and Ceasars fitness centers are 10-times better!!

We only had dinner here and played in the casino for an hour.

Pillows were left on bed and chairs on check-in and no pillow cases. Good luck trying to find a bottle of water if the bars are closed. All vending machines except 1 were out and the one that did have water dispensed warm water bottles. Casino feels dated.
