“My wife and I pulled into Tonopah and found the Mizpah on Google and decided to spend the night. Upon checking in at the front desk, we realized the very colorful history of this hotel and of the resident spirit on the fifth floor. I was honestly a little bit nervous because I’m not a huge ghost fan, but we got a room on the fourth floor and had a very pleasant evening and a good nights sleep. We had dinner in the bar, enjoyed a really good steak and a couple of nice drinks before turning in for the evening. Our room was a tad bit small but impeccably clean and cozy for my wife and I. We heard a little bit of interesting noises in the middle of the night, but no spooky situations presented themselves.”

“This is one of the best little best. Westerns i've stayed at. The breakfast it's always good and they have multiple things to choose from. The ladies in the kitchen are super sweet in the room service when they clean your room. Does an exceptional job?I mean clean clean. It has a little gym to work out which is nice and they give cookies every night for your stay. Thank you to everyone there in the staff. You guys do a good job.And sometimes someone needs to say something.”

“Well honestly we didn't even plan on going to this place or staying there for as long as we did. We were on vacation headed up to Oregon from Phoenix Arizona and ended up getting stuck in their parking lot with our travel trailer, for almost a month. I won't go into detail about the many obstacles we encountered during our stay but if it wasn't for Elias the manager we would have probably lost everything and or still been stuck there. He was so helpful and understanding and we appreciate everything he did. The place really isn't anything special but during our time there we had a lot of fun and felt very safe and comfortable. If we ever end up back in Tonopah, Nevada that's the only place we'll stay only because of how much he helped us and seemed to generally care about not making our vacation any worse that it already was. Thank you again Elias!
Another fun thing about this hotel is that if you roll three of a kind you get your room for free.”

“I have lived at the Clown Motel for quite some time now. I don’t remember when I checked in. I don’t think anyone does. The clowns keep track of that for us.

Most guests only stay a night, but I enjoy watching them arrive. They step into the lobby, see the hundreds of painted faces staring at them and always do the same thing: freeze. Some laugh nervously, some back away slowly, and some swear the clowns blinked. They usually leave in the morning. I don’t.

The rooms are cosy if you don’t mind the soft squeaking of rubber noses at 3am. The clowns like to rearrange themselves after dark. Sometimes they sit closer to the bed. Sometimes they wait by the window. I’ve grown used to their little habits.

The cemetery next door is wonderfully peaceful. Many guests visit it in daylight. I prefer dusk. The clowns do too.

If you enjoy quiet nights, unsettling stares and the feeling that someone with painted shoes is gently following you down the hallway, this is the perfect place. I’ll be here to welcome you. I’m always here.

Five stars. The clowns insist ??✨”

“This place was a god send. We had issues with another hotel not being open when we were trying to check in and the manager, Darshan, was amazing and super helpful. He got us a room and even let us use his phone to call the Hotel to try to get help. 10/10 amazing service!!”

“I booked this super last minute while traveling with my dog. I'm a fella with simple needs so I booked the hostel room via a hotel booking site, but found out it was a specific room that allowed pups. The front desk fella was extremely understanding of my situation and helped me get situated without feeling like I was s.o.l. Kudos to that gentleman! Ps The check in is the Mizpah. Felt like a little house with several rooms. Clean, quiet, and close to the brewery for some good brews and grub!”

“A halfway point in between Vegas and Reno. If you need a break or a night to rest, this is a great place to stay. Family run. Clean rooms. Walking distance of food and gambling. Coffee shop across the street.”
