Reno absolutely could recapture it's gaming edge that it once held. The problem is that most people do not know that Reno casinos have better paying slots, better table game odds, easier on the wallet and better comps than ANY Indian casino in California or any casino on The Las Vegas Strip or Freemont Street. And we all know about Vegas tightening up on their stingy paying slots, tripple-zero Roulette, 6 to 5 blackjack, endless fees and overpriced restaurants, etc
The California casinos are too far apart from each other to worry about competition and Reno's looser gaming odds would be a big draw if only more people knew about it. Yes, California casinos are big, beautiful, new and lively. But they have about the worse odds on just about every game they offer. If the gaming public would realize this, the gambling scene would vastly improve for Reno.
Going to a casino outside Nevada is like going to a Hawaiian Luau in Kansas - it's just not the same! Reno casinos have that gaming Nevada-vibe that other States can't match. If all of Reno's casinos would continue to maintain better paying slots, video poker, keno and table games payouts, I could see a bright gaming future for Reno. I bring guests here all the time and they are always stunned at how much better the gaming environment is here.

We stopped for lunch at Mel's diner, which is always great. They have a kids' arcade that reminds me of chuckie cheese. My grandson had a blast playing games , and riding the flight simulator

The worst hotel I have ever been to construction jack hammer going power goin off water will be turn off for hours tried to get a different room away from the construction refused to help. Or even try oh and the pool is out of service to what a waist of a building made the wife and grand daughter terrified of the place we had to leave

The beds were comfortable. The room was spacious. But the only problem was ants when we arrived and left

The hotel and staff were awesome ! Room was a bit expensive but clean and good , had fun while we stayed there. Ate at the steak house in the hotel service was great but the steak? Not so good. Over cooked and had lemon flavoring to an extent that all I could taste. But the rest if the food was good .. ? Mel's diner was awesome for breakfast and the staff there was over the top. ? Can't wait to come back

The king suit was very spacious for our family! The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very clean and how can you not love two bathrooms! The kids love the arcade, great for all ages. The staff was friendly and helpful on every visit. We will continue to stay at Boomtown.

Unfortunately, it appears that customers may need to bring their actual coupons. Some of your benefits don't automatically update at the kiosk or even through the rewards center.
Food & drinks: The renovation at this resort has done wonders for the experience.
