Danny was able to get my car into his shop fairly quickly and we found out that what needed to be fixed I couldn't afford. So I didn't have to tow my car until I got it sold he actually bought my car from me it was so helpful.

This shop is dishonest. brought my car in for a noise i was hearing when i was going fast under bridges. They told me it was the power steering pump and it would be $640. to replace. I saved up the the money and made an appointment 6 weeks later. Then i dropped off my car and they called me 4 hrs later and said there was no noise and it was fine. I asked if they were sure because they said that was what was wrong with it last time. They looked at it again and called me 1 hr later and said yes they got the power steering to make the noise and even recorded it. So i said if they were sure that was what was wrong with it, then yes please replace it. Picked up my car that evening and when i went to work the next day, the noise was still there so i dropped it off again. When I picked it up at the end of the day they said my car was leaking oil and there was 0 left and they had to add all the oil (no charge) and it would be Thousands of dollars to fix so i should just sell it and it what money i could out of it and buy a new one. I had just got my oil changed 2 weeks prior and had a small oil leak for over 2 years. I drive 600 + miles a week from reno to sac and check my oil every couple days because of the leak and mileage i drive. There was a perfect. amount of oil 2 days prior. I was shocked when he said this. I got home and checked the oil and it was not new oil, it was very much dirty used oil still. Instead of this place just telling me they couldn't figure out what the noise was, they charged me to replace a part that wasn't broke and said "well it would have needed to be replaced eventually" and out and out lied. BTW i took my car to a great shop in reno and they figured out was the noise was. It was my back antenna whistling in the wind, they adjusted it to a new position and the noise on the way. don't go to the shop they will lie and rip you off.

Prior to my trip I had new injectors put in my truck, after 500 miles broke down. Frank said 2 injectors went bad and replaced $1000. After 500 miles broke down again, finally a mechanic that knew the problem. All injectors including one installed by Frank were installed wrong. He removed all injector and installed correctly 3000 miles later no problems.Don't think Frank should be working on diesel engines.Also tried to get in touch with Frank and no response.

I've just come from Frank's Automotive Service and I am smiling. First, I learned it is a family business. Danny is the owner. The men working their are his sons and cousins. I think this often makes a difference. They may be nice anyway, but also there is the incentive to provide excellent and friendly service. I brought my RV for service. Tony drove me to the storage place (Verdi Executive RV & Boat Storage - If I haven't recommended them on Yelp, I need to do it.) ... anyway Tony drove me there where my car was parked. Danny told me that someone would also drive me home (a few miles from their business) when I bring my car for service. The work was excellent. They topped off the fluids. They did a thorough inspection. They said the RV was in good shape. They also said that the oil had been changed 2000 miles ago. They recommend changing it at 3000 miles. They said doing it now was not necessary.

Have used Franks many times over the years going back to the original Frank. Tough to find an honest repair shop but this is definitely one. Highly recommendedServices: Tires

Danny and his guys really saved my bacon and they have my eternal gratitude. I needed to have them put some new parts on my crusty old vehicle so I could get a DMV inspection. They stayed late on a Friday to finish the job so I was able to make my DMV appointment on time.
