Stopped in with visitors from England to give them the real old west saloon experience. Staff was helpful and gregarious. Drinks really hit the spot. Bonus? A band playing. Great time.Service: 5/5

Fun little spot with a wild west vibe. Keep in mind, no food except popcorn, which my kids loved. The server was awesome and so good to me and my kids. We all had lots of fun drinks and enjoyed the honky-tonk music. Neat historical saloon. I recommend! Spent $70 on drinks for me and my teens. They liked the vibe, light fixtures, and Shirley temples.Get there early, before the music starts, to find a spot to sit. Old timers from all around will flock here.Kid-friendliness: For a bar, it's funny that this place is so kid friendly, but it is. Keep in mind, my kids are 11-16.

We come up to Virginia City for almost a week every single summer. This year we spent a lot of time in the the bucket of blood. Three days in a row they had a band.... not only did the band take requests, but they knew all the songs you requested. We danced, eight plenty of popcorn, had tons of bloody Mary's and shots, bought hoodies and coffee cups and flasks. They were probably tired of seeing us by time we were going home lol. Highly recommend this place it's awesome.

Virginia City is an old mining western town that really does an amazing job of portraying the old west and having a great time. The Bucket of Blood Saloon does not disappoint and should not be missed. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and fantastic live music!!Service: 5/5

I don';t drink so the Bucket of Blood wasn't for me to enjoy a cold beer or something stronger. After listening to the band for a while, I moseyed up to thje bar and ordered a diet Coke. I was really pushing the envelope.It had been a couple of long walks to the Ward 4 School and then St. Mary's Church (no, the roof didn't fall in--I love history). It was time to sit and let my legs come back to normal. The Coke was just the thing.The serevrs were friendly and the vibe of the place seemed to bring back the glory days of VC. I would put this on ,my must stop list.

Great old timey saloon. Views in the back near the toilets are incredible. Try their fancy rum runner type drink. The owners put something homemade in it.Service: 5/5

This is an iconic Wild West Saloon, worth a visit. I have visited saloons in many old west towns, but Bucket of Blood stands out for two reasons: The first is the gorgeous view of the valley you have from inside the saloon. The second is that they had live music, even early in the afternoon on a weekday. It was a very nice touch. I recommend you drop in for a libation in this historic bar.

The bar that had a lot of old items all around bar. Seems like the most visited by tourist. They have a great view in the back of the valley. Live music. Lots of joust having a good time. The staff added to the whole experience and was having a great time.

Been coming here ever since I was a kid. Full bar, music, great view and popcorn!! All of the bartenders, servers and the owner are absolutely fantastic!

Virginia City was great. I love old western towns. The bucket of Blood was a typical old west bar. The antique lights were fantastic, they have a frozen rum drink that was very tasty. If you're in Reno NV, forget the casinos and go to Virginia city.

I love all the antiques and great drinks. The history on the walls is unique and vibrant. Had an Irish coffee and love that they use tallimore dew.

Great atmosphere, I love this place! Our Bartender Laura was a hit! Went in for a drink, left with a bunch of really cool t-shirts and a good time! 10/10
