“Always a pleasure to visit. It's half of the reason I always make a special trip up to Virginia City whenever I'm in Reno (the other being the gorgeous scenic drive to and from). So many delicious things to choose from, but it's the incredible candy apples for me. Delicious treats with a side of excellent friendly customer service. Cannot recommend highly enough!”

“This store is unique and in my top 3 for a must visit spot on A St. It offers location specific souvenirs for reno and virginia city which is nice. I was greeted by a gentleman at the front which was inviting and gave me a reason to purchase items. I also bought some root beer hard candy- they have a variety of barrels to choose from. The customer service was engaging and helpful. This is appreciated because it helped me make decisions on what to buy. Everyone was great but for top tier customer service with a touch of old school class- seek out the younger gentleman with a mullet.”

“My spouse and I absolutely love visiting Barrel O Candy in Virginia City. It has become one of our favorite places to indulge in some sweet treats. On our last visit, we had the pleasure of being assisted by two lovely young ladies who were incredibly helpful. We were spoilt for choice with the variety of flavor taffy candies they had to offer. It was such a delightful experience selecting different flavors and filling our bucket with a rainbow of taffy flavor candies. The friendly and knowledgeable staff only added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. Barrel of Candy has truly become a destination for us to satisfy our sweet tooth and create wonderful memories together.”
“This is a nice little shop! The man in charge was very friendly, we enjoyed chatting with him while he prepared a snow cone for us. The snow cone was $6, which is very expensive for that, but I understand that they have to charge a premium at a sweet shop in such a remote location with heavy competition nearby. I appreciated that he made the snow cone, but then added a "top" to it by adding more crushed ice and syrup on top!”
