An absolutely gorgeous store with an incredibly large array of products, and the owner is incredibly sweet. He was more than willing to show us anything we had interest in and he is incredibly happy to negotiate for prices, prices that are already incredibly reasonable. I have been in this store more than 10 times, and it’s the highlight of my trips here. Kashmir is very considerate and will help you find anything in your budget. I was looking at a trench knife but it was outside of my budget, so he recommended a full tang knife that was inside my budget. I’ve been offered tea or water many times and while I haven’t had the time to take him up on his offer, the next time I get asked I will absolutely accept.

I was walking through Virginia city and stopped off into this store and saw an autographed Bonanza picture and store owner claimed it was real and I bought item because it was supposed to be real. I made an appointment to get autographs looked at and found out the autographs were fake and I tried to return Item and store owner tried to say picture was sold as it and refused to return Item. This store likes to sell fake items to buyer beware. I would stay away from thos store at all costs.

We went here years ago, (before Smart phones) and we have kept talking about the amazing customer service that my wife and I received. Hands down, the coolest owner we have ever met and the coolest selection of rugs. Go in and explore this place, you will not regret it. ✌️

Horrible shopping experience. Went looking through used clothes and he yelled at me for not reading the sign and going behind the counter. Which is ok but there was no sign or counter!! Haha!! Just old clothes on clothes racks!!! Then he said I had no common sense. Not a great shopping experience.

Great place to find unique & one of a kind items that are reasonably priced & are of investment quality. The service & hospitality are like none other. We highly recommend that you visit beautiful Virginia City & when you do, don’t miss Kashmir American Enterprises. I promise that you won’t be disappointed.

This place is a one of kind experience. Totally not what you'd expect at Virginia City. The owner is super nice dude from India, gives complimentary tea, has a genuine conversation with you. Anyone who's unfriendly or in a bad mood should steer clear because this dude + his shop are a good visit. Random stuff from different cultures. I purchased a pretty ring + a cool vintage coat These are real products in a real shop so don't expect Wal-mart prices. I dig this place. I've been in multiple times and each visit is an individual experience. I recommend

My boyfriend, his cousin and I were exploring the old town of Virginia City and we were absorbing all the history around us. We saw some items in the window that caught our eye, so we wandered into the old store. The guy who was working (an older Indian man) immediately bombarded us like a salesman. I've worked in sales, so I know you have to try and sell items to make a living. This however was overwhelming and extremely uncomfortable. He sneaks up on me while my back is turned and starts wrapping several scarves around me without saying one word about what he was doing. Then goes on a sales pitch saying how I need to buy it when I did not like it. Again, UNCOMFORTABLE. That should've been my first indication to leave the store. My boyfriend noticed a sword that was a neat piece and asked to see it. He grabs it from the back and hands it to him. After about 15 seconds of looking at it, he tells my boyfriend that he wants to close early and if we weren't going to buy it then he wanted us to leave. Excuse me? We walked in less than 3 minutes ago.. I felt like he was rude once he thought we were not going to buy anything (again, we were looking for less than 3 minutes) so I started walking out. Being an old town, the buildings are historic and built differently and use heavier materials than today's building structures. We walked out and went on our way talking about what we were going to do next. This is where things get weird. He chases us out to the street and yells about 100 feet away from us "do you have a problem? The younger guy, you have a problem? You slammed the door!" It's a heavy door in a town that was established in the 1800's. I responded to him saying the door did not slam and that it's a solid door, just like all the other establishments in that town. He walked out with his hands up as if he was trying to be intimidating towards us. He then starts walking towards us acting like he is trying to cause a problem or fight my boyfriend. We ended up walking away because he was being irrational and starting issues for no reason. I'm on vacation and I did not come down here looking for problems but clearly he wanted some. He starts talking to someone on the street and just watched us walk to our car with his arms crossed. Uncomfortable.. Horrible customer service, overpriced junk and extremely rude. I will make sure to avoid this place if I come back to Virginia City. What a shame, such a cute place with so much history. Someone with a sour and impatient attitude that has zero customer service skills. He should find a new profession because he doesn't have any boundaries when it comes to personal space and touching random women who come into his shop, as well as chasing possible customers out to the street yelling like he wants to fight us. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND A HORRIBLE WAY TO HANDLE A SITUATION THAT WAS NOT EVEN AN ISSUE TO BEGIN WITH. J**** Please look at the previous review from this store saying the store owner was yelling at them as well. Clearly he can't control his temper and should work on that or just close his store, it seems to be a nasty pattern with him.
