“Amid stories of old ghost towns and haunted poker tables, there is still a community of people that live, work and play in Silver City. Oh, they occasionally mail things and don't rely on the Wells Fargo wagon these days. The Silver City post office is an official location of the United States government and you can perform many services, just like in the big cities. Mail letters, packages and check your PO Box, amongst others. Obviously, it's small but there are no customers. Hours are limited. They are manned from noon-4pm daily (Saturday morning 7:30-9:30; closed on Sunday). The PO Boxes are available 24 hours. It's a clean, suitable facility that can handle simple postal needs. Services like processing passport applications or renewals are not offered here. 03/21”
