If you take a last minute reservation, be aware.. they let you check in and pay online even if the office is close (great!) but the thing is : you can’t have access to the bathroom because there is a code at the door and you have no wifi. In their email, you can call if you have any questions or requests but no one answered. By chance, we met an other resident who shared the code with us.In the morning, we discovered several dog’ poops at our place, an other good surprise.Otherwise, once you have access, the facilities are good.

Been staying here every year for a while now. Like the western town. The lady that runs the place very nice. I stayed 2 nights this time and will again this coming summer. It might be after HAN for I might do that this year. We will see how the money is. Always got to find out about the Lake and then put it all together. I hope the little cafe is up and running for I like pancakes for breakfast. Always put me in a spot I ask for...

After many hours on the road, I’m tired and looking forward to starting my weekend in Virginia City. I never look forward to setting up camp, because it tries everyone’s patience. On top of that I never know what kind of attitude I will encounter from staff when checking into an RV park. When I walked into the office at Virginia City RV I was greeted by an exceptionally kind and generous staff member, Sheila. Or as I now refer to her…St. Sheila. I was a witness to her kindness and compassion to the campers in this RV park multiple times during my stay there. She takes the time to recognize and connect with the humanity in each person during their stay. Even going so far as to come from behind the counter to give a reassuring hug to a camper who was struggling with the loss of a cherished pet. I had the chance to speak to the owner of the park and she made it clear that Sheila is the kind of employee she actively seeks out to represent her values and the values of the park. And this is why I will be a return customer to this RV park.

A Gem in Historic Virginia City - Perfect for Weekend Warriors and Long-Term Guests AlikeWe recently took an RV road trip and had the pleasure of staying at Virginia City RV Park. This place is a true gem, perfectly situated in the historic town of Virginia City. It's a fantastic base for exploring the area's rich history, and it's also convenient for those heading to Reno or the Eastern Sierra.Facilities & Amenities:The park offers 50 full hookup RV sites, an on-site delicatessen and market, and ultra-clean restrooms and showers that look like they've been recently renovated. They even have a laundromat, propane tank exchange, and tent camping areas. If you're not an RV owner, no worries--they have adorable cabins for rent too!Location:The location is unbeatable. It's adjacent to the town park and community pool, and just a short walk to downtown Virginia City where you can enjoy shopping, museums, and restaurants. We loved that it's also walking distance to the Silver Terraces Cemetery, which is a must-see if you're into history.Campsite Experience:What sets this RV park apart is the layout of the campsites. They're staggered and spread out, giving you a sense of privacy and space that's hard to find at other RV parks. We had a fantastic view of some trails and an old mine, adding to the overall experience.Food & Beverage:A shoutout to Calamity Jane's, the on-site restaurant that opened just a month ago. The menu is filled with homemade items that tempted us away from our own RV kitchen. It's a great spot for morning coffee, especially if you're trying to let your partner sleep in a bit longer, like my husband did for me.Community & Safety:We found the community to be respectful and quiet. While there are some long-term residents, they're situated away from the weekend guests, so everyone has their own space.New Ownership:It's worth noting that the park has been under new ownership since 2018, and it shows. The entire place is impeccably maintained, and we had zero issues during our stay.Final Thoughts:If you're planning to explore Virginia City, do yourself a favor and stay at least two or three nights. There's so much to see and do, and Virginia City RV Park is the perfect home base for all your adventures.

The park is clean, however when your paying close to $90.00 a night a level area and a dog park you would expect. Because I travel in. 21 foot Travato they always try and put me in the worse spot. This time no table(like the rest) and very unlevel. I went to the office and asked for a new spot. First it was well maybe, when I reminded him I was staying two nights and that spot didn't even have a table or was level he moved us.

The park is very nice. It has showers, laundry, restrooms, a marker and recently opened a restaurant. Has both powered spots and dry camping. It can be crowded but it is a very nice and well cared for park. The views are wonderful and it is across the way from the county pool and library. There is also a park next to the pool. It is with in walking distance of most of Virginia City and you can see the cemetery and hear the train. The wild horses might wander though. The Owner, Carol, has a beautiful heart and a giving soul. She was willing to help us when we were at a low point after we first started full-timing in our trailer. We were unable to stay but would have gladly accepted her help had we been able to.It is a great park with wonderful staff. Well worth staying if you find your way to VC.

This is a NO STAR REVIEW. Wow! What a disappointment Virginia City NV RV Park was. We never even saw it. We drove the windy road to Virginia City, a beautiful old mining town in Nevada. We had made reservations for the RV park (2 nights, $168.00 total). As we drove into town towing our 30 foot fifth wheel, we noticed the streets were lined with tourist cars. We had not been there since 2008, so things had changed! I had spoken to the RV park in March 2023 when we made our reservations and they assured us that we would fit in a few spots. As we drove into town, there was no sign for the RV park (GPS was unavailable to us), but we had spotty cell service, so I called the RV park. The lady who answered the phone suggested we turn on a street that we could not navigate due to tourist parking. As we spoke on the phone, she suggested one more streets that we could turn onto as we drove down C Street, the main drag. But she said no to each suggestion I had on the two streets that we could make that right hand turn onto. Then she offered to come up to the main road on her side-by-side and lead us down to the RV park. We pulled over in a gravel lot at the end of town, which was the ONLY place we could pull into and waited, and waited. After 30 minutes, I called her back. She did not answer, but a man did and he told us that the lady could not FIND US. She did not call us at all, even to tell us she could not find us! And, where could we hide our fifth wheel on C Street in Virginia City? I asked him to cancel and refund our $168 (nicely). He said no. He then told me that the Virginia City RV Park is not responsible to get us to the RV Park. I think this is the same as "cutting bait." It was a civil conversation, maybe they do it all the time?? So we feel scammed and are out $168.00. This is the FIRST time this has ever happened in thirty years of camping. A very nice person at the Virginia City information office attempted twice to follow up on our behalf, but the owner was never available. Rip off. Enter at your own risk, fellow campers!

Stayed at this RV park the first week of August. The park is conveniently located and is a short walk to the main street. It is also really close to the town's historical cemeteries and had a great view off the side. The showers were clean and they have a well-stocked general store. We have a 33 ft 5th wheel with slides, we were able to park with no issues.

There is an Angel at the Virginia City RV Park! The owner/Manager Carol has a beautiful heart and a compassionate soul. During our darkest hours (lost everything we owned when RV burnt to ground) she gave us an amazing gift. She did this for people she had never met! With her gift we were able to re-establish a somewhat normal life again. THANK YOU Carol for your generosity and beautiful heart!!!

Best experience you possibly can have at a RV park. This place is so taken care of. It is surrounded by views that will amaze you. The wild horses that run through the mountains along with walking distance to all of the restaurants, live music, bars, fun stores, haunted tours, train tour is incredible. Staying at Virginia city RV Park and being able to walk to all of this entertainment to then return to your own 5th wheel or travel trailer whatever you have can not get any better.

We had a great stay at the RV Park. It was so quiet and the views are spectacular! They even found my husbands phone and held on to it so we could get it back. Thanks for a great stay!Nearby activities: Downtown Virginia city is within close walking distance.Safety: We felt very safe walking from town to the park.
