​The 'antiques' are a goldmine of pioneer-tier engineering—I saw a rusted bench vise from the Truman administration priced like a family heirloom, and enough mismatched locally sourced copper kettles to rewire a '96 Ford Explorer. It’s the only spot in town that doesn't smell like Mad Dog 20/20; it just smells like dust, WD-40, and the slow, agonizing passage of time.

​I watched an old-timer in a 10-gallon hat try to barter a used car battery for a vintage 'No Trespassing' sign to hang on his leaning shed.
