Called 14 times the day before left two messages. Called again today at 1000 am and got through. Came in 4:00 pm and prescription still not ready. Have plenty of time to write this review while I wait for my meds to be filled. What is going on in here? Pharamacy is busy I know and I sympathize. But 14 times no answer and voicemails never checked.

Good selection but higher prices than on the other side of the lake! It should be noted that variances in state taxes and other reasons account for the price differentials between CA and NV Safeway locations. I was shocked to checkout and find that none of my items I had loaded on my Safeway app were being applied to my purchase. The manager had to explain to me that the deals on the app are only good at the location set in the app and that normally they would not be able to do anything about that. Since I wasn't aware of this she adjusted the cost of the items that one time but let me know she wouldn't be able to honor those advertised deals in the future unless they were listed for her store address on the app. Lesson learned! At least they have a manager that knows why the app wasn't working - previously I've had issues in other states and they didn't know why it wasn't populating at the end of the transaction.

There is a sign outside the entrance that says you must wear a mask to shop HOWEVER that's more for show than an actual practice. I saw several stockers wearing their masks below the nose. Two patrons were walking around without masks at all. A lady was with her teenager inside walking her dog, saying hi to employees (obviously a repeat customer). Be prepared to bring your own hand wipes or sanitizer because the only ones provided are by the casino slots behind the self check out.

I live down the road from this store and it's the most convenient but I'm going to stop spending my money there. This is the only grocery store where I have consistently pulled expired, near expired, or moldy items off the shelf. I bought a pork loin that was over a week past date. Brought it back with the receipt to show when I bought it compared to the expiration and the cashier gave me attitude (we usually don't do returns because of Covid but I guess this is an exception" with a ton of sass in her voice). Hey haughty minimum wage worker, maybe if your meat department did it's job I wouldn't need to return it. I've gotten cottage cheese, yoghurt, eggs, and milk that were all expired within a couple days of buying them. Maybe this store manager has never heard of a thing called code checking and product rotation. When I was a grocery manager for 5 years my department heads had to do that weekly. They also knew to put oldest products front so they are bought first and to pull close to expired items for disposal. Beyond that I've never seen a store so poorly stocked in my life. Constantly holes on the shelves, produce always looks like a bomb hit it and I will always triple check for mold now because the produce is often moldy. I get it, stocking mostly happens at night but if I saw a gap on a shelf and knew we had the product I would either stock it myself or find an employee to do it. A hole on a shelf represents a missed sale so I don't know how this manager gets away with it. I suppose when you're a major tourist store you can get away with whatever because you have a steady stream still buying so the District Manager probably just doesn't care either. Oh and if your employees are so very concerned about the Covid rules (which they should be) maybe management could inform them that the mask being below their noses does nothing to help and to actually enforce customers wearing them as having it around your neck also does nothing.

I have been to this Safeway store twice in the last week. The first time an employee in the produce department and a cashier were wearing their masks below their noses which essentially does not afford any protection from the transmission of the virus. I reported this to the manager. When I returned two days later the same two people were still wearing their masks below their noses, which tells me that Safeway has little or no regard for the health of their employees or their customers in the midst of a deadly pandemic.

Wife went in store for Western Union, was told rudely by employee that it was closed and pointed to a sign that was covered by a towel. Customer service could of been much better. I guess BLM doesn't apply at this particular Safeway!

I have shopped in this store for over 30 years and Unfortunately this morning my shopping experience dropped to an all time low. First of all, only one checker on the floor-yes this Safeway has self checkout stands but no body uses them. Eventually another checker came on the floor but when I asked for paper bags since I had only brought 2 canvas bags. I got an extremely dirty look from the checker and then he proceeded to fill the bags so they were so heavy it was almost impossible to lift. Trust me- I don't look like I'm professional weight lifter. I had to remove items from the bags to lift them. Not to mention my carefully selected tomatoes were packed and smashed under heavier items. The checker was of an age that I assume he was not a brand new checker and he should have known better. Maybe he was having a bad day, but after spending several hundreds of dollars, I expect a "thank you" , bags packed so that a regular person could lift, and unsmashed tomatoes. BTW... hey Zephyr Cove Safeway could you turn down the A/C it is always freezing in this store!

I've worked at Vons Pharmacy before and since I am on vacation out of state I needed my antibiotic transferred to this location and I called them at least 5 times and they never answer the phone. So I have to Uber here for $20 and I get here and the lady says that it's going to be about 3-5 business days since she is very busy and that's why she "hasn't gotten to the phones" and then I explain to her that it's an antibiotic and I need it now and she said according to Nevada law they cannot transfer the prescription unless it's been filled. If they would answer the phone I wouldn't have wasted my time and money driving here. Since now I have to Uber to a CVS across the state line.

Closest grocery store to Zephyr Cove - a very beautiful beach area. If your here you might be a tourist who had to make an emergency beer run. Large parking lot - lots of parking. A very average Safeway experience. The store itself is large and spread out and hard to find things. I dislike how every Safeway seems to have a different layout. Its not the pleasant Trader Joes experience that I like - but hey if this is the closest grocery store to where your at why not?

Worst service in any Safeway stores ever. That is why there is nobody there! I rather drive to Carson City or SLT. Which is a shame. But they do not seem to care.

Judge for yourself the price of wines here. The Safeway music channel is insipid. The Deli service here is bizarrely not run well. But the place is convenient! Between Incline, NV and S. Shore, CA it's only option at Lake.
