We love our server Kerry. She’s bright, funny and super efficient at her job. She makes every customer feel like they are family with a bit of humour and genuine kindness. The Aulac Big Stop is just the best !

Aulac Big Stop restaurant is among our favourites. This time we had two lunchtime all day breakfasts, an omelet and a traditional breakfast. They were superb, generous, tasty, good value and exactly as we ordered. Service by Christiane was excellent. Highly recommended.

Had to return eggs Benedict twice because it was cold and the undercooked. When the third dish arrived one egg had hard yolk with runny whites the other both were runny. Asked for hard yolks got runny or medium yolks as well as runny whites. Menu said English muffins but it looked like toasted hamburger buns. Had to fend off a few flies during the visit as well. The only upside was the servers. Polite and understanding.

The food is always great, and the service is always friendly and courteous. I love the fact that you can buy cakes and pies and take them home with you. My favourite is the carrot cake. It’s one of the best that I’ve had anywhere. April the baker does an excellent job.

I have been here numerous time, but this was by far the worst experience I have had. This place used to be my favourite place to eat, but unfortunately that has changed. We were sat quickly which was nice but we did not receive our drinks (water) and cutlery until after we had been served our meals. The portions were also very disappointing considering the price. I understand that the price of foods has increased, but this is a bit extreme... a handful (or less) of fries with a touch of gravy and cheese is what's considered a small poutine and that was $10!!! WOW!!! Maybe they were just having an off day, I understand that we are human and make mistakes, I just hope things get better! Maybe next time will be better...

Big quick pit stop on the way from Halifax to Moncton. You wouldn’t know there is a restaurant until you enter inside the pit stop. They are known for the fried clams, lobster rolls and fish and chips! I had fish and chips for $15 (2 pieces). It was very fillin and satisfying. Gravy is also extra so be aware!

The food was great at this Big Stop but our first impression set a somewhat disagreeable tone. We were chastised twice for not waiting to be seated. We stopped for brunch on a road trip with elderly relatives, one visually impaired & the other needing a cane. While I was assisting my SIL in the washroom, my BIL (cane) went to the restaurant to get us a seat. No one was at the entrance & there were plenty of empty seats so he went in & sat down. While I understand we upset the process & we accepted the slower service that was the result, it wasn’t the most gracious beginning of our meal. My vegetable omelet was delicious. Lots of hash browns & warm toast with jam. The skillet breakfast was good & hot & the eggs with sausage hit to spot. My SIL had turkey soup which had plenty of savory for seasoning. The waitress who eventually served us, not the 2 previous employees who addressed the seating problem, was friendly & attentive. I would recommend this place, just wish we didn’t start off the meal feeling bad we made a mistake about sitting down.

I arranged with friends to meet there for lunch. In total we were 5. Arrived around 130 pm, a bit of a line up but not bad . It was soon our turn, I told the hostess, a tiny blonde, we were 5, well she said you will have to wait, give me your phone number. I told her we are travelling, she said, someone must have a cell #. One of my friends stepped forward and gave his .I'll call you she said sharply. I told my friends to look around the store, there were people leaving , I didn't think it would be long and I honestly did not trust her to ever call us, so decided to linger at the entrance. People were coming in, I said go ahead, we are waiting to be called. People kept leaving, my friends checked to see how it was going, I said well should not be long as a lot are leaving. After waiting 25 minutes and counting more than 20 people walking in and being seated, I went into the dining area, saw empty booths and tables. I asked the hostess why we were not being seated and there were empty seats and a lot of people passed over us .She said I told you you have to wait for the 5 table, I suggested she pull a chair to the booth and she said no, the waitresses would trip. I go back to my friends in line and said I do not think we are going to be seated and at that time heard the hostess tell another employee, a girl with black hair who had come to see what was going on, that we were blocking the line and would not move ! Total lie, I go back to the front, explained the whole situation again and was told it was against the law to move a chair and we would just have to wait. I have been going to this eatery for a very long time, supported them through the pandemic, eating at their table with plastic cutlery and foam dishes. The regular staff was always terrific, but I found myself begging for a table. My plans of a lunch with friends turned into a horrid experience, This hostess needs to be trained or put into doing dishes or cleaning tables, her attitude was snippy. I go back to my friends and tell them we are not getting in, so we will have to leave. As we are leaving, the hostess called out a comment in a very sarcastic tone which brought a few gasps from customers waiting in line, I returned a comment to her, not nice, but as this point valid. A very rude girl, and I was not going to be treated in such a way from the likes of her.

Stopped for lunch, the turkey soup was a delicious blend of vegetables and lots of turkey, like grandma used to make., rolls were fresh. Fish tacos delicious as well as the Club sandwich with fries. Service quick and fry.
