It has become a tradition for me to come and visit this store around Christmas and browse and shop for unique Christmas gifts and ornaments.I don't really know a store like this in the area and I am always grateful time spent there.This year I noticed that they didn't have as many Christmas ornaments around as in past years. A little disappointed with that but still and excellent place to come and shop!Their customer service has always been great and they do a superb job in wrapping Christmas gifts for you if you'd like (a complimentary service).I believe they have now expanded into a women's clothing store as well which is great to see!Located on the 'main strip' in centre ville Bathurst, it is still one of the OG stores in the area!Parking is located on the street and there usually isn't a problem to find any!Check this store out!

I’m not from Bathurst, but I visit every summer and have always loved this store. I usually buy a couple of Christmas gifts and home things for my family and self. Today was not the case, however, and I will not be back. I went in with my baby wrapped on me and my toddler son. He was being very good and listening, then saw two other kids around his age in the store and flocked to them. They were playing with squeeze toys, my son and the two other kids, and they were all laughing. I went over to stop my son because I could see he was trying to take the toy back from the little girl, but the shop lady got there first and took the toys away, said you’re in a store we don’t play with these and keep your voices down there are other people here. I was going to buy a couple of pottery mugs but I left right then and there. I’m already anxious enough about bringing my kids out and watching their behaviour that I don’t need a stranger to correct my child. I’m here and he wasn’t doing anything wrong, and on top of that it’s not a library, they were laughing. Now my anxiety is through the roof, I wanted to buy stuff there and go to two other stores but just went home.

Have not lived in Bathurst for years but come home in the summers. Love shopping at Catherine & Company and still do from a distance. Appreciate they are willing to ship purchases. Great work Cathy and staff.
