Employees will just stay behind the counter and chat with each other and completely ignore you unless you go to check out, and then they decide to be friendly and tell you about sales, promotions, etc. I had gone in thinking "maybe it's only the Fredericton location that treats its customers badly", but no, I guess it's a HT policy to not talk to anyone but the people you work with until they see that you have money.

I was in the mall today with my 8 yr old granddaughter with special needs who want to go into the store because she seen Disney characters among other cartoons on your merchandise. As we were looking around the young cashier with blue hair said to her peers at the counter " this store isn't for kids. As I looked up, I bit my tongue as I was with my granddaughter. But really, store is full of superhero, Disney, and other cartoon merchandise, and a child running the cash.🤔

Staff are rude and quite immature, I'm guessing this is why they were hired... I think a 5yr old is so much more engaging than anyone at that store.

I’m from Nova Scotia and it was a lot better than the one we have. A lot bigger store. A lot bigger stock. Also found some hot topic funko pops that we don’t have at our hot topic in NS. The stock is mostly the same just a lot more of it or different options. Would visit again.

This hot topic is so disturbing and gives me anxiety every time I go in. The manager with red hair follows me and my friends around the store on multiple occasions and gives us dirty looks while doing so. I’ve had to call my mother at one point telling her we are being harassed and followed by this girl who thinks she’s all that. Disrespectful manager I’ve tried to call her out multiple times on following us but all she does is side eye is and walk away we never did anything wrong maybe other than dress the way we want? As in skirts and crop tops but I don’t see anything wrong with that. Rather shop at Spencer’s their way nicer don’t harass you and are like a family there. -0/10 for hot topic

Really overpriced for the quality of the prints you receive. I always try to advocate for buying locally but the reality is you can get higher quality shirts.online for peas money or the same.In fairness I tend to prefer more understated designs then ones available in this store so I don't know if I'm the target audience. There can still be some good and cool things here, and if you shop the sales the prices become more reasonable.

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THIS STORE!!!!! but your maybe wondering why i gave it a four then. i would because… FIRST let me just say the store is amazing!! i love shopping for the sanrio stuff! (sanrio is hello kitty and her friends and stuff) they have a wide variety of sanrio stuff for me to shop with! they never let me down on the variety! but the prices… i have stopped buying there as much to save some money because i don’t have a job! i live off allowance ? anyways, hot topic, it’s so much money there! example: i wanted to buy sanrio hair ties (2 pack) and it was 15$!!! that’s so expensive!now it might be so expensive because sanrio stuff comes from japan and china (mostly) so that might be extra $$ because of shipping so that might be why. also becuase since it’s branded hello kitty it might be more. if you don’t understand: normal shirt = 10$ disney shirt= 20$ because Disney is so popular and they trick people to buy it more BECAUSE it’s Disney! anyways hot topic, please consider lowering the prices because it’s probably causing lots to not shop there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EMPLOYEESthe employees are fine, i never had a problem. lots of you are complaining that there standing there doing nothing. but that’s what happens when i go anywhere like urban planet sports check and others. sometimes the employees will ask if i need help with. anything, and that’s good! the employees also inform me of sales at the checkout center!

This hot topic sucks SO BAD!! They act like me and my friends are there to just take stuff without paying and scold us every single time. Girl with orange hair is an absolute disgusting disgrace of a manager FIRE HER NOW. Out of all the workers there is only one nice one and at that I think they are new to the store too. This store does not know how to greet and serve there customers highly recommended for them to mind their own business, Despite my obvious troll name and profile, this is a serious post, for real yall, mind your business
