Expensive. Shop local if you can.

The store isn't really any different from any other, which is a bit of a shame in some regards. I would like to see more emphasis on promoting locally sourced products. The Atlantic provinces have much to offer in terms of food and it would be nice to see it prominent.

I don't like this Superstore. It looks old, everything is so expensive, and they play music from the 80's. I mean, come on, let's get with the times!

Edit, July 2024: $18 frozen GF pizza, busted carts, rotten melons on the shelf, $6-14 for a jar of pasta sauce? Not going to lie, kinda hope parliament rams a XXL maple-flavoured boot up Weston's posterior.
Carts are all busted, entryway is a trip hazard right now (perfectly able bodied and nearly went arse over teakettle walking in due to the giant divot in the entryway.) Also, as others have said, the prison aesthetic isn't exactly welcoming. Gates that barely open and are unable to be bypassed due to the installation of hockey-board style paneling seem like a massive public safety concern due to lack of fire egress.
Seems like prices went up even more since the local independent grocer went belly up as well, quite the sad turn of events.
$20 for 917g of chicken. That's about $10 a pound.
Oh, and to top it all off, they won't even help if your optimum card throws an error, they'll just ask you to call a toll-free number which is currently rejecting calls due to too many callers.
