I've only had to interact in-person with this branch twice over the last couple of years. This is often a good thing with banks.I tend to use other types of financial products and software for most transactional needs, but I have a business account here. It should be noted I by no means make enough that one could claim this review is positive because the service is good, but the service is good only because I have a lot of money with them. My business is my side hustle as people refer to 2nd jobs these days.Firstly, the agent I worked with to open the account was thorough and helpful as this was my first time going through this process. It was quick and easy (except for the constrained times) and they have a no monthly fee option for small accounts such as mine which is my favourite aspect of this bank. They've gone through some pretty extensive renovations here over the last couple of years as well and it quite modern, bright and welcoming inside. Today, I dealt with Kiranmai Puli and again, the service was friendly, quick and simple. As it was my first time going through the bank to accept international money transfers, they also provided a simple sheet on various needs when accepting international payments from various regions. The only downsides I've seen so far, and to be fair, I don't regularly bank with them, is they need a bike rack outside. Not a necessity and not why I docked it a star, but it would be convenient as I don't have a vehicle. The main downside is the hours, but I fault most banks for that. The old "bankers hours" stereotype. It would be nice if they had either one day where they stayed open later until 7 or 8 or open for a few hours Saturday morning, or both. I understand it's becoming harder to find employees for almost every industry, but it's still a pain to have to ask for time off from the full time job to do any banking.

Update. I went in today at 3:55pm. One staff member started helping me right away. So far so good. She’s new, asks her co-worker for help. Coworker takes a look, she doesn’t know how to solve the issue, so she tells me I should do it online because it’s cheaper. I tell her it’s not possible, prove it, then she proclaims it’s after 4:00pm and they don’t offer service at this time. What a joke. I looked at her mischievously and told her I came in minutes ago, I don’t want to save money but time and I’d appreciated if I got my service completed. The new coworker proceeded to figuring out what’s needed and took care of it. One plus for her, one minus for the other. I was close to seeing the manager about her.Terrible customer service. I walked in several times and had to wait for staff to finish their social conversations to pay attention to me. I had to interrupt in the end otherwise they couldn’t be bothered with the fact that I was standing around for minutes…

They reduced their hours, making it impossible to use the bank without impeding work or school. The branch manager who will passive aggressively suggest using the ATM despite holding up the lineup of people with the insufferable amount of chit-chat she engages in with those she knows. The efficiency and courtesy is so far from the other branches I've used.

Awful customer service. Did a loan application with someone who after three weeks of not hearing anything I found out he no longer works there. Did ANOTHER application had to wait another two and a half weeks with multiple phone calls and emails, promises of response with none. Would only respond to me through email. I will NEVER use this bank again and am debating switching banks after this experience. I've always had good service with them and am very disappointed.

Trying to contact rep regarding our mutual fund but not getting answers, when I do get through not returning calls, or "not in office" or will "look into this". This bank is showing us very poor service.Need access to OUR ACCOUNT...being ignored and put off. If we could actually get a response, perhaps another bank would be more accommodating.

Where to begin. I rarely post - patience is a virtue - but my experience today or lack thereof was frustrating.Today was the fourth time since July of this year, between my wife and I, that we checked the bank hours online (at the official BMO site screen, capture below - still incorrect) and when we arrived in person for service the branch was closed. There was a relatively unhelpful paper sign on the door saying the branch had modified hours and closed at 4:00 pm as opposed to 5:00 pm. From what I gathered from a passerby this paper had been on the door for some time. This is the 21st Century; update your website for goodness sakes - that is how the world communicates and seeks information. I find it frankly frustrating that this BMO branch does not know to update their website and keep it updated. Time is money and we all have better things to do than drive the 15-25 minutes one way not to be served. While on the subject, the business hours this BMO branch does provide are insufficient. Unless you're a retiree most people work within the 09:30 am - 5:00 pm window (really 4:00pm now) Monday thru Friday. Extended hours at least one evening a week and perhaps one weekend morning does not seem like too much to ask; TD does it (screen capture below).Very honestly, I've commenced the conversation of is it worth the trouble to change banks because more of this amateurishness leaves me with little recourse than to take my business elsewhere.

I am from out of town and needed to use the ATM to deposit a cheque at night. The door was locked and no way to get in even with a banking card. I have never seen this before anywhere.

While the tellers are nice and doing their best this bank branch is not at ALL following covid-19 procedures. The situation I walked into today (May 25 at around 10:20 AM) was a belligerent man sitting in a chair growling and mumbling at customers while kicking his legs in the air, all while pulling his mask up and down and jumping in front of other customers. This was in no way ok, also two older men were in the bank completely unmasked and were not once asked to put a mask on. I felt like the situation was not being handled and mostly ignored by staff who were visibly uncomfortable. The whole situation left me feeling uncomfortable and unsafe, I won't be visiting this location again and will be strongly considering switching banks even though I've been with BMO for 7 years this situation has put me off greatly.
