2 stars because the techs/staff are generally friendly and helpful. Good deals sometimes. Not a great pharmacy.

Last year I had a bad experience with the pharmacy where they didn't read the prescription correctly and I was suppose to get 10mg and they gave me 50mg and It made me sick from the massive dose change. I let it slide they were very sorry and promised it would never happen again which it hasn't.Then tonight I needed to transfer my medication to a different shoppers due to a move, and they told the saint john shoppers they sent it, but they never received it so after 1 hr and 15 minute wait on the phone I was informed it was sent and then got hung up on.By the look of the reviews and my experience as well the pharmacy is really failing its customers.

I rated it lower because I have never been able to reach anyone in the pharmacy in under a 30 minute wait on hold. I've also had the doctor state they sent the prescription and the pharmacy staff insist they've never received it. Even when I've called in for a pick up for medication I've had to wait in long lines when I arrive as they only ever have one staff member working at that station. Could be better, but I do really appreciate the new option to make an appointment with the pharmacist for some of your more minor ailments and prescriptions.

This pharmacy has incorrectly billed us and our insurance companies countless times. Wait times when calling in are incredibly long - usually at least 30 minutes! Lines are long for in-person service. My family has used this pharmacy for years, but the service for the last couple of years is terrible. Time to switch pharmacies.

Oct-24-2023 (check your in store camera) and you will see me waiting to get a lottery ticket, with the old lady standing there talking on the phone - she sees me , but starts a conversation with someone who works there; she asks me what I want , but keeps going back to her conversation - gets the tickets all wrong and instead of getting it right, ignores me and goes back to the conversation with the othe person. I walked out of there and dont plan on going back.

I have been going to this pharmacy for my whole life but unfortunately have to get my prescriptions transferred due to the insufferable service in the last several months. I understand that medications will not always be ready at the minute they say, but there is no reason to be refilled sometimes days late. On Saturday my mom went and refilled my medication and they said it would be ready Sunday morning - we came on Monday morning to pick it up and were told it will not be ready until 4pm... why? My mom told them it was important medication and we couldn't wait all day, it was supposed to be ready yesterday, so they finally went and gave her enough for a week. This happens so frequently and it never did before, I don't understand why they give times if it is not going to be refilled? The lady in front of my mom was having a similar problem, except that she had a flight to get this morning and they just didn't have her medication refilled. I need to switch pharmacies now. Boo.

Absolutely terrible pharmacy. More concerned with charging students fees rather than helping them with their healthcare needs. Moving all prescriptions to a student friendly facility that won’t exploit students who those without family doctors.

Get cosmetic, little bit of groceries and obviously medicines all at one place. In case you want a opinion a pharmacist is there to help. Moreover they have a Canada post inside the shop as well. They have plenty of free parking available.

Brian the pharmacist is awful - would berate me for refusing to pay $900 for medication that I knew was covered thru my insurance under the drug exception program. He just didn't want to call the drug exception centre for a new code once a year. I found out thru the pharmacist at my insurance company that what he's doing is illegal that thereve been complains before about this location to them and that there is a pharmacist ethics board that he can be reported to. I've since switched and sorry I stuck it out with him so long. He made me cry a couple times as I absolutely needed the medication and he just talked down to me like i was worthless - and i felt so stuck and desperate. He is so nice to u until he deems u a somewhat inconvenient customer. My new pharmacist I've not had a single issue with - he calls the drug exception centre for the code, ive never had to pay extra money for administering shots of any kind... crazy what a huge difference of treatment there is - id been with this location since 2001 and finally switched last year - best decision I made and cant believe i thought being treated that way was just normal - but it had literally been the only pharmacy id ever gone to and just assumed they must all be this way.

Bought gift cards. They did not work. Had to spend hours on the phone getting my money back. Now the issue. Cash Manager Adren, state it a 3rd party purchase. I explained everything in the store is a 3rd party purchase as Shoppers is a retailer store. In New Brunswick by law you have 14 days to return damaged items. But as expressed, Shoppers is a large Canada wide Corporation so they do not have to follow law. I have forward to the BBB.The store also in under construction. Uneven floors and dirty from construction. I would hope the floor tile was tested for asbestos and other air born chemicals produced by construction materials and it sits on 3rd party products. Also, I would avoid the Pharmacy, their inability to process and comprehend their own paperwork is poor. It’s like they error on over charging. When confronted they do not want to help, busy busy busy.New info, I’m now being investigated, for fraud from Exxon. The cards, I believe were spoofed at this Shoppers. Numbers were used in York Ontario. I have the cards. So Shoppers may be hacked.

Says open until midnight on the sign and online but they close at 10pm now. This makes it hard for those of us who work different hours and need to get prescriptions filled or those picking up emergency prescriptions late at night. Tons of people trying to get in after 10.

I’ve gone multiple times now late at night in the last few weeks and they are closed at 10. No signs posted, no google listing change. So frustrating to drive all the way from the northside since that location closes at 10 as of a few months ago, just to find this location closed. There were 3 or 4 people there each times I went pulling on the door trying to get in.

Have been getting prescriptions here for years, but with recent service, I will be switching. They took over a day to fill a prescription for me. I find their wait times are longer and longer. I have spent 30 minutes on the phone waiting to speak to a pharmacist only to speak to one that was not very friendly, and seemed to have hung up on me. Will be switching my prescriptions to a new pharmacy. I had great experiences for years, but for the past few months, it has not been a pleasant experience.

Terrible service! Avoid them!!I tried to pay my medicine with my insurance (as I usually do in any pharmacy) but the man at the pharmacy who gave me my medicine ignored and said I should request to the insurance myself. Now I can’t get the refund with my insurance, since they pay directly for pharmacies. I’ve never had any issues with that before with any other pharmacy in Canada. Also, the same guys was asking me my address, and when I said correctly, he was saying it was wrong (cause he was checking the address of the pharmacy!). And approached me like I was doing something wrong.Once I got my medicine, I went to the pharmacist to obtain explanation, and she started to give me the explanation super loudly! Like everyone else at the Shoppers had to know my disease. More discretion, please. All of that after having to wait for 2 hours for my medicine, while I was waiting for painfully.

It’s very rare that they have any of my medical supplies ready to go when they say they will be. It’s a fight to get what I need every time. Today I went in for supplies they promised would be ready today and sure enough there was nothing there and no explanation as to why.The staff has also just blatantly lied to me before, one tried to tell me my CGMs weren’t covered by insurance (which they are covered, I had already talked to insurance), then after pressing her a bit she finally asked me “what’s a CGM?”The pharmacists have been nice to deal with, but good luck if you have any medical conditions more complex than needing pills refilled.
