Hours: Westminster Books Ltd. is an excellent bookstore and a downtown staple that has been around for a long time, surviving as the sole destination for downtown book lovers. It is the perfect little bookstore, described as a proudly Atlantic Canadian business. The store is bright and spacious yet still cozy, with chairs to sit and explore a few chapters, creating a warm feeling. The staff are great, very friendly, knowledgeable, and always easy to help, providing good recommendations. They offer fantastic customer service and will gladly order any book not in stock. The selection is great, with excellent fiction, outstanding non-fiction, superb local and Canadiana titles, and a unique selection of specialty stationery. They also have a helpful website, a great rewards program, and an awesome newsletter. The poetry corner and books from presses like Gaspereau Press are highlighted. With reasonable prices, it is hands-down the best place to spend reading dollars in Fredericton and is highly recommended.
