We have been to this hotel a few times. Our experience was okay overall.
- Cleanliness is OK.
- The rooms are small.
- The beds are comfortable.
The hotel is old but still at a good price.

I would put 0 stars if possible!!! worst customer service i have ever experienced. i booked through them on Tuesday for Saturday night, they informed me on saturday morning that my credit card didn’t work and told me i had 2 hours to update a card. So in a panic i used my parters card. the hotel then called me an hour later and asked about the updated card, i had them speak to my partner themselves and they told him that everything was good to go. we then drove an hour and half to get there, only to be told that they could not allow us our room due to the card belonging to my partner and the reservation being under my name. the deposit had already went through, they had their money!! still refused us, i’m still so confused, they were so rude to deal with, we then came over to Quality Inn and they were lovely and took us in no issue. NEVER will try Hotel Moncton again

Had to bring the ratings down because this is most definitely NOT a 3.7 star hotel like it says on google. It is max a 2 star hotel. Cheers!

Very much served its purpose for a one night layover while travelling. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was good quality.

If you book an event expect to deal with one competent sounding person via email and then when the event day rolls around nobody on the extremely uncommunicative because they barely speak English likely subsidized staff will have any idea what you're talking about, what's going on, or how to help you.
Nothing that was promised to be done for you will be done and you'll have to set up tables for 50 people yourself in an hour while a confused man yells at you in chinese because you're unsatisfied with the 1 table he set up for 5. Then the bathrooms will remain unstocked and management will spin that so it's your fault when you bring it up afterwards.
Or hey maybe they won't! After all, you're not me.

The overall experience was great. My 5 nights stay was definitely comfy.
Rooms: I wouldn't say it felt like home but it did what it was supposed to do
Nearby activities: Walking distance to Magnetic Hill, Burger King, KFC, McDonald's, Tim Hortons and Butterfly Boardwalk to name a few
Food and drinks: Breakfast was also hot and freshly prepared

Check-in was horrible and the front desk clerk had zero people skills and no sense of humour whatsoever. I was very upset by the way we were treated but checked in anyway as we likely would have been charged (on my credit card that he didn't want to accept) if we had decided to just walk away and find another hotel. For context, I recently changed my last name from married back to maiden so my booking confirmation and credit card (old married name) did not match my drivers licence (new maiden name). I book all of the accommodations for travel (4 or 5 times per year) and have never had this issue before. He actually took offence to a comment made by my travel partner (made jokingly as people do), called his manager and put us under our 'first warning" and threatened to keep the security deposit if we broke any more rules, stating very soberly that he felt the joke was a personal "attack" on him and he did not find it funny. I was completely flabbergasted by his negative response! Saw this person a few times after that and he wouldn't even acknowledge that we were guests. Very disappointing. Oh, and he also stated that he was "already going above and beyond for us" and basically indicated if it was up to him, he would deny us a room altogether which wouldn't have surprised me. I was so angry when I returned to my car that my hands were literally shaking.
Breakfast options were decent (included with stay) and the hostess was very friendly but the time range is 7am to 9:30am while most other places offer until 10. We were actually advised that we had to leave the breakfast area at 9:35am so if you partake, make sure you give yourself enough time to eat and be out by 9:30.
The room was clean and spacious (executive room) but for the price, could desperately use some updating. Bare white walls with no artwork and peeling wallpaper made it seem cold. Tiny bathroom and the bath towels were so thin you could practically see through them.
Overall, I can say that I would not stay there again solely based on the guy at the front desk who made our first impression a very bad one. He needs to do better.

More Like Motel Moncton
I recently stayed at Hotel Moncton, which should really be called Motel Moncton. The experience was absolutely dreadful. The neighboring units were occupied by people partying until 1:30 AM, and it was clear they were using drugs (specifically meth), as we overheard them discussing it right outside our door earlier in the evening.
Families with kids were also partying outside the "hotel" until late, creating so much noise that it was impossible to sleep. Even after they moved inside, the noise continued to be unbearable. We went to bed at 8:30 PM but couldn’t fall asleep until 3:00 AM due to the constant disturbances from the surrounding units.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, we were woken up at 8:00 AM by loud banging noises that seemed to come from everywhere in this hotel. There are absolutely zero sound barriers here.
It felt like this place is where locals book a cheap night just to let loose, terrorizing their kids while they get absolutely obliterated. We called the main desk at 12:30 AM to make a noise complaint, but nothing was done until an hour later when the drug users finally burned out. We had seen some of these “customers” drinking outside since our arrival at 6 PM.
The only positive part of our stay was the lady at the desk when checking out. She was completely understanding and an absolute sweetheart. She was the best part of our experience.
Don’t come here for sleep—only come here to party. If I had known this was a party spot, I would have planned my trip accordingly. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. If you're looking for a place to rest, avoid Hotel Moncton.
