Moncton home depot: where diy really does mean "do it yourself". Drove in this morning for a few items, checked online and all were showing as in stock. Last item i needed was just a small bag of insulation, online shows 58 in stock, but zero on the shelf where it should be located. Another customer happened to be looking for the same thing, an associate he was talking to said there were none left. No problem, ill go to the front contractors area and ask. Lady up front was helpful, flagged down a larger bald guy to help us get some down from top shelf. He just walks off saying he'll go find Juan. I only waited 5 minutes or so but clearly no one showing up, so I see the pallet bundle up on the shelf 10-12 ft or so high, go get the yellow ladder myself and with some difficulty i pull the whole pallet down onto the floor just as the other customer and his associate return. Other customer and I tear open the pallet, help ourselves and his associate just walks off. As im leaving I walk past the bathroom/break area and see the guy who was supposed to be helping me having a chat with a plainclothes manager (i assume) . Ill give the guy credit for offering me 50%off my 24$ bag of insulation, but id much rather pay full price and not have this circus every visit. Why do we as customers get attitude when asking for something thats in stock but missing from its location on shelf? I get it, its inconvenient, but what do you have these floor walker associates for? Is no one trained on "ladder duty"? Only Juan i guess. You have one women working nonstop on the ridiculous self check out area with 2 machines always down, lined up and running wayy slower than the old style checkouts and floor associates who cant find or get anything down without it being a hassle. Theyre always mad about it like its MY fault you can't keep shelves stocked. I don't get it.
Edit: shortly after this incident, we ordered a 600$ microwave via home depot online. Waited a month for delivery, delivery date came and went yesterday Dec 4th. Contact home depot online, credit card charged weeks ago but "Their system" didn't place the order with the manufacturer at all. Solution as told by customer service was "order it again yourself". Why is home depot allowed to be the middle man on this? They literally DO NOTHING cept mess up the sale.

Amazing service! Had to return something my husband had bought as it was not what the person doing work at our house needed. Wow! The return process was easy and I got help finding the exact things needed for the job. Thanks to the amazing staff!!

We visited your store today at approximately 2 p.m. we went to the checkout to purchase our goods. We were told we had to use the self checkout. We refuse to use the self checkout as I prefer to have a sales associate wait on us. We went to customer service they said we don't usually serve customers that way, they deal with returns only. So we said please return these items to your shelf, she quickly said she would ring us in this time. Not happy if it stays this way I will shop elsewhere

I don't understand that in a home depot like Moncton there is no one who can help us in French.

I recently misplaced a $900 gift card at the store, and the staff’s honesty turned a stressful situation around. I’m very grateful and can’t recommend this store enough for their integrity.

A lot of the lumber was in bad shape thats 3x this past year, almost always have to chase down employees for help/info, bad luck with all their solar light packs (usually last less than 1 year even with storing them for the winter). Not the worst store just a shame when you cant always rely on their quality or help.

I had to return some things, and I asked the cashier not to put the money back on my card as we don't own it anymore. She made a mistake and sent the money back on the card, making us lose $330. I spoke to the manager, Jeremy, and he said he couldn't help us as they can't reverse it. I pointed out that when employees make mistakes, the company is responsible for fixing it. He said they couldn't help us as they would lose $330.
I understand mistakes happen, but it's right to fix it and not dump it on the customer. I asked if I could at least have my stuff back, and he said he could sell it back to me... you all can describe the type of person that says something like that.

Do not buy appliances from Home Depot. Dealing with them is not worth any money you may save. Single handedly the worst customer service experience I could imagine. I would've spent $1000 more to not have to put up with this. I ordered appliances on July 18th and it is now August 27th without receiving them. One issue after the next, just save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.
