Terrible service and bad products they don’t stand behind. Won’t give you a return for products they sell you that don’t work. Had a ceiling fan for 3 weeks and the LED light died and you can’t replace it. They won’t return my money to buy a new fan elsewhere and the manager says “it’s technically us that’s losing money” as he only gives you store credit that you have to purchase back through them.
Canadian tire is dying, I will not buy from them anymore. Save yourself the hassle and buy from Home Depot or Costco that stand behind their products and serve their customers not themselves.

Brought them a can of paint to get coloured match, it was from Canadian tire originally And had the paint code on it, they could not figure out how to work the machine took over 30 minutes and then was given a can of “coloured matched” paint when home and tried it was wrong when back the next day to see if they could make it right, was told nothing they can do but to buy another can of paint and have them try again and could not return the other one. Would recommend NEVER GOING TO CANADAIN TIRE FOR PAINT ABSOLUTELY UNLESS ended up at Kent and they did it right and in a quarter of the time

The Glorious Temple of All Things Canadian!
Oh, where do I even begin? Walking into this Canadian Tire is like stepping into the Promised Land! I half expected angels to descend from the ceiling with wings made of maple leaves, serenading me with our national anthem. The automatic doors parted like the Red Sea, welcoming me into a veritable wonderland of unparalleled retail glory.
The aisles—oh, the aisles! They stretch into infinity, lined with treasures that would make even Indiana Jones weep with joy. Need a snowblower in August? They’ve got it. How about a canoe for navigating your suburban backyard after a heavy rain? Check. And don’t even get me started on the automotive section. I’m convinced that the tools here could rebuild the Titanic—or at least assemble a pretty decent go-kart.
The staff are not just employees; they are sages of the highest order, dispensing wisdom on everything from tire pressure to the existential meaning of a socket wrench set. One associate guided me to the perfect light bulb with the precision and grace of a ballet dancer, and I swear, when he handed it to me, there was a soft glow and the faint sound of a harp in the background.
But the pièce de résistance? The checkout experience. The cashier scanned my items with such finesse that I almost didn’t mind the total (which, let’s be real, was basically an investment in my future happiness). And the rewards program? It’s practically the modern-day equivalent of gold. Every time I earn points, I feel like I’m being welcomed into an elite club of Canadian Tire royalty.
In conclusion, if you haven’t yet visited this hallowed ground, drop whatever insignificant task you’re doing and make the pilgrimage. It’s not just a store; it’s a life-changing experience. 10/10 would sell my soul for a lifetime membership.

Walked into Riverview this morning looking for clothespins. I heard an associate in an aisle. I said good morning Im looking for clothespins. He looked at me and said "keep walking". I was a bit surprised so I asked which Isle? He said keep walking you'll find them down there. I turned to walk away and he said they are that way so I replied, Thank you but Ill shop where I can actually get customer service. This is not the first time this "Associate" has spoken to me this way and sadly I learned he is actually the Owner/ Dealer Operator of this location. I may not be the biggest customer he has but I work extremely hard for my money and am self employed business owner myself and I understand the value of any customer choosing to come to me for work or service. Evidently this owner doesn't care and fortunately I have many many choices as to where I spend my money and I can reassure you it will not be at Canadian Tire 525 Pinewood Road in Riverview. I live here, the location is close and I love to support businesses in my town but cannot spend my hard earned money at a store where the owner doesn't care about his customers. I drove past two other stores because I wanted to shop there and take advantage of my points card as well. Big mistake and the last time I make that mistake. If I could rate 0/10 I would. I would telephone and speak directly with him regarding this but given his attitude this morning I doubt very much it would make any difference at all.I spend a lot of money on fertilizers, trimmer line, plant material, the list goes on and on but again......not at this location.Sadly he missed an opportunity on a lot of other things I needed this morning. Being in customer service for over 25 years I knew the value of walking the client to the item as it gave me an opportunity to determine if they needed more items thus increasing sales. Apparently he has enough money. I went to another store and bought an 18kg box of cat litter at 18.00, 10 bags of Scotts starter fertilizer at 23.99 a bag, a 2 kg box of 20-20-20 fertilizer 14.99 , fiskers pruners at 23.99 and a roll of .80 trimmer line at 16.99. and of course clothespins at 9.99 spending a total of 323.86 plus tax

I went in to pick up a fuse for my car. The horn wasn't working. I had the pleasure of being helped by Annalise in the Automotive department. She even came out to my car to check if I was entering the correct fuse in the correct slot. She was so helpful she got my horn working. She even checked to see if they had the same fuse-relay. She wrote down the part number and drew a quick
Diagram of what it looked like.
I'm so impressed. So impressed!

Recently had a winter tire change over to summer tires: I specifically asked them to just do this: 1hr later I get my bill where they're suggesting Wheel Alignment, rf tire rod, oil change & new winter tires? What part of ONLY Change out tires don't they understand lol: I know 100% that my vehicle wheel Alignment is perfect? I'm sure that this Riverview Canadian Tire is trying to up sell = more $$$$...It's unethical & wrong to do this: I've been a customer of Canadian Tire in Ontario & Quebec for many years: great service never a problem: This Riverview Canadian Tire are dishonest to try this with me. Never going back to this Riverview Canadian Tire again! Beware of scammers!

I have never been so disappointed in a Canadian Tire store as I am in the Riverview location as of today Saturday May o4!
I have been a Canadian Tire customer for many years and have spent thousands of hard earned dollars over the years in almost every department from sporting goods, tools, fishing gear, guns and everyday household items, and I was happy to spend my money in a Canadian owned franchise. The quality was good, the customer service was great and the bonus program was very useful.
That was until today!
I had previously been in customer service for many years as an entry level agent up to and including as a manager and I would never ever have treated a customer with such disdain and disrespect as I received at this location.
I purchased a pair of work boots on Wed May 01 and unfortunately there was a design flaw in the steel toe which caused it to not fit correctly and caused considerable discomfort. I returned the boots expecting to find another brand or style in my size but none was available. When I approached the cashier and explained my dilemma I was looked at as if I had just insulted her and was rudely told that a manager would be required and then she turned her back to me. This person couldn't muster up a smile for any of the customers that she served and looked at each of them with what seemed to be boredom tainted with disgust! I am not kidding at all and I was quite shocked by her behavior!!
The manager came to assist me and after a moment abruptly left with his trainee and left me standing there quite confused for over 10 minutes ( I had other errands to attend to and did not have time to stand around waiting, but this did not concern the manager in the slightest). When the manager and his trainee returned they proceeded to the cash next to me and without a word of explanation or any kind of customer care and began what I assumed was the refund. I was then told that I would be given an instore credit and when I asked about a refund was abruptly told that no refund would be issued. I asked about having the refund put on my points card and simply told NO! "That's not our policy"!
I was then advised that the credit was time limited and would have to call some corporate number if I didn't use it within a year. The attitudes that I encountered were completely unfriendly, completely lacking in any form of customer service and at no time did either the cashier or the manager attempt to extend any kind of empathy or understanding towards their customer, me! It was if I was some kind of extreme inconvenience!!!
Needless to say Canadian Tire lost a 40+ year customer for a 100$ transaction!!! Well done!!!
