Paul, the pharmacy manager answered my call in 3 minutes, was polite, professional, and thorough… it’s tough in pharmacies because of very tight staffing. I’m concerned that many of these reviews have suffered because of that fact. Putting myself in their place, I can understand shortness and the urgency of the business they are dealing with. Please offer a great deal of patience and respect that these are just people after all. Thank you for your good service Paul.

**AVOID AT ALL COSTS**I would have given a negative review if I could.Hands. Down. The WORST pharmacy I have ever had the misfortune of having a prescription sent to in 35 years.I have unfortunately been using this “pharmacy” since June, and I have not had a single prescription filled without issue (10+ prescriptions filled).The staff is rude, you can’t get anyone to answer the phone, they don’t notify you of issues.I’ve been trying to get the same prescription filled for a MONTH. This “pharmacy” keeps having issues that are of no fault but their own. Bad stock, non-existent customer service, lack of overall knowledge, and just a complete sense of apathy.I even went as far as to raise my concerns to the store manager of the Hannafords, but he was too interested in giving flippant replies to my concerns than actually resolving any customer service issues. Obviously, the attitude of the pharmacy is a reflection of the poor store management at this Hannafords location. As someone with years of management experience, I certainly hope the entire management team is ashamed of themselves. This is a reflection of you, and you alone. Do better, and have some pride in your work and the people of your small community. Respect goes a long way.Do yourself a favor, use ANY OTHER pharmacy before this one. You’re better off traveling out of state or using a mail order service. This place is ABYSMAL!

I see a lot of negative reviews and it may be a long wait times, or understaffed pharmacist. I however had a great experience. I had urgent care visit and a prescription to be filled there, I could tell they were understaffed and two other employees waiting, and twice I was told it will be another 20 minutes. I was already quite irritated with my medical situation and being told it would be more time until the prescription is filled, however I knew that they were working behind the counter. Both times the pharmacist James was polite, and when I finally picked it up he took time out of his day to have a conversation to calm my nerves about taking a new medication as well as helped calm my nerves on my medical situation. this ran into a few minutes of his lunch break and he did not need to take the time to converse but he did and I appreciate that. Very kind. Just remember if you were frustrated at the pharmacist, I bet they’re frustrated with insurance or whatever is stopping them from being able to move faster with your prescription! I am so grateful it was in a timely manner considering I lived out of state and was leaving soon. Thanks James!

Awful. Never has my prescription ready even if they have the medication available (they rarely do) and I call ahead to ask if it is ready. (They say yes, I get there, and it’s not ready) will have to go to another town.

Disgraceful. Associates at the counter are doing the best they can. They have to rely on the idiocy of the pharmacists. Nothing is ever ready. Always a long line. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I don’t think it’s fair to blame the pharmacy for customer service. They are understaffed just like every other business around. They are expected to offer Covid shots, flu shot and shingles shots on top that which ties up a fair amount of time.Is Alton ready for another pharmacy? It’ll just have the same staffing issues.

Terrible customer service refused to give flu shot when they weren't even busy at 8:30 in the morning. Take down the Flu shots available signs if you aren't going to give them when asked

This pharmacy is a disgrace and completely unprofessional. The male pharmacist with the facial hair should be banned from working in this profession. My daughter needed a script refill and we were told 14 day's. That is completely unacceptable. He is a miserable person who hates his job a takes it out on the customers. I will do everything I can to have corporate look into this pharmacy. I will be using any other pharmacy in NH to avoid the hassle and aggravation of dealing with that A hole again. Disgusting service and attitude

The most disorganized pharmacy. Today was the 4th day I was told a prescription would be done, and I ended up sitting and waiting an additional half hour after being told to do my shopping first. Also probably a bad thing when an employee also says they're angry/frustrated by the establishment.

I don't understand how this pharmacy is allowed to operate. I have never in my life been treated like I have by some of these employees. First, if you call and ask for your medication refill or have any questions, expect to be given attitude. Second, I understand the high volume of refills they get and that it can take awhile. However, it is disgusting that the employees take their stress out on you. Third, the incompetency is alarming. If you need a prior authorization, you'll be playing telephone with them all day. One person will say it needs a PA another will tell you your prescription is ready, you drive to pick it up and it's not ready. They have no communication or customer service skills. I will be changing my pharmacy because I shouldn't have to be afraid to call because I'll never know if I'll get the one NICE employee or the rude ones, making a simple refill or pick up extremely difficult.

Absolutely the most dysfunctional pharmacy that I have ever been to. Call on Wednesday to see if scrip is available. "Yep, see you tomorrow." Thursday comes, "oops, we don't have any. We can order some, but I couldn't tell you when it will be in."Then I spend the weekend trying to get someone to answer the phone. I even tried getting another Hannaford pharmacy to call and they couldn't get anyone to answer.If you need something that going to save your life, don't go here. Seriously.Edit: After speaking with what had to be one of the rudest people that I've had the disservice of speaking with and lied to by the pharmacist. I've decided to file a formal complaint with the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy.The total lack of competent service at this location can only be described as a danger to the health of those that depend pharmacies for their medication.

Hands down the worst pharmacist that make getting your medication harder every time. Thank god most prescriptions can mail now. It’s a battle between this pharmacist and my doctors every single time, delays you receiving the medicine you need. Do better.
