Comfortable and renovated clean rooms excellent shower with great water pressure, extremely friendly owner and staff, one problem when we checked in Friday night I found that there was no hot water and could not get anybody in the office until 9:00 a.m. the next morning in which the owner immediately fix the problem it was just a shut-off valve in the basement that happened to not get turned back on, as a result of not having hot water for one night they refunded us the price of that night and gave it to us for free we will definitely be coming here again to stay on our next visit a great view of Alton Bay in the town of Alton is right down the road, very reasonable rates, they even brought us a custom fit ramp for my wife because there is a step up to the room and she has a walker so this made it much easier

Outdated rooms but cute and clean. The bathroom is a bit small. Office staff is friendly and attentive. I wouldn't refer to it as a resort but more of a motel. The AC units are in desperate need of being replaced, the room didn't cool off much. The view of Winnipesaukee from your back slider is beautiful though! The "beach" could of been a bit cleaner...and there was a strange "seasonal cabin renter" woman who came out on the beach to patrol asking if we were staying at the motel ?I give the 4 star rating for location, quaintness, cleanliness, lake view and charming staff!

Has been here for generations. Folks keep returning year after year. Guests become familiar and always polite. Accomodations are somewhat "old school", but like the type you remember going to as a child. Wonderful. Calm, private harbor for docking your boat. No wave action.

We stayed last night just for one night because we had a very early morning fishing trip close by we loved this motel it was very well taken care of you can tell if the owners and the people who work there take personal pride in the motel. It’s old school it’s next to a lake it’s in a small lakeside town it’s everything that you want to Lakeside Motel to be , nothing fancy , nothing pretentious , no perks, simple, but it’s clean it’s neat it’s well taken care of and it’s safe , and the ladies who work there are absolutely exceptional they were friendly and warm we felt very good being there. From California we travel all over the country we stay in all types of hotels and motels, if the staff is kind and helpful and friendly if the room is neat and orderly and clean that’s all you need. The back deck with the chairs in the high tops are an absolute plus plus plus!!! We picked up dinner at Pop‘s clam Shell and took it back to the room sat out on the deck overlooking the lake, wow what a fantastic memory that makes. Thank you Sandy point beach resort for making our one night stay comfortable safe and happy!! ????

We checked in on a Friday. We woke up to ants all over the bedside table, the bed and ourselves. We didn’t complain. We then was accosted by the owner who made us move our truck because a man checked in on Saturday and wanted the spot we parked in. There are no assigned parking spots. The man in question was WAITING in his car to pull into the spot. He was drunk and continued to drink ALL DAY LONG. Then took off for a ride. My husband was so upset that the owner made him move his truck. Twice. For this drunk guy. My husband says very matter of fact. “Guess we wont be coming back here” the owner says GOOD lol. This place my family has been coming to for YEARS. My grandmother and grandfather took me here as a kid every summer. We were at the restaurant every weekend we stayed up here up until they sold it. Not worth the money anymore. A motel 8 would have treated people better. Unless you rent a cottage I wouldn’t bother. I have videos and pictures of the ants all o we the sheets and the dresser.

I loved this place!! When I was young my Dads side of the family was all there and I never felt like I felt at being at Sandy Point beach!! I learned how to swim and water ski in my young age! When I got older, I learned how to drive my Dads boat and the boat my dad had was a Speed boat!Checkmate boat with a 150 hp Merc outboard engine!! Wow the memories and all the fun!!!Oh yeah, my name is Johnny Pietersen the third and my grandpa left that place with a smile on his face. My dad's name was John “Pete” Pietersen and I know that some of the family that owned Sandy Point knew my family! All and all my whole family loved your place! I’m 55 now and I always have looked up Sandy Point, to make sure that Sandy Point is still there! God what a time I had there, I mean I think that Sandy Point is the best place for a vacation in all of New England!! All I can say is thank you so much for the fun times I had there! Thank you, Johnny Pietersen “ the third”
