Pecco and Gail are the sweetest hosts ever. Location is awesome- lake is great for swimming & they provide towels. There’s also a running/bike trail easily accessible. Had the *best* time!Nearby activities: Relatively close to towns for the area

The Inn is in a beautiful setting, with the Highland Lake channel within view. Bring a kayak or borough one and enjoy the expansive lake. Walk to the Highland Lake beach for a swim or the rail trail (for bicyclists, snowmobiles, or runners). It is memorably decorated with fabulous original art on its walls. Its beds are the most comfortable clad in italian linens. The innkeepers are very friendly and will advise you of local places to visit

Pecco and Gail are the BEST hosts. Such a quaint, country setting. Anything you need, just ask. They will give you ideas, and directions, of places, or restaurants to go to. There is plenty to do if you stay close to the Inn...but if you venture out, it's only a few hours to anything. You will be spoiled and feel like family by the end of your stay. Oh yeah, try the scrambled eggs...Rooms: Our room...view of the lake, comfy king size bed, bathroom and a small table for 2

Loved our room, it was beautiful and comfortable bed. Breakfast was great, awesome to talk with other guests and owners. We came in late but the house was beautiful. The only note is we were asked to eat our dinner in our car when we came in, I understand not in rooms but it was odd we couldn’t sit in the living area. Overall highly recommend if your looking for something elevated.

What a wonderful property! I was fortunate enough to be invited to a wedding at this lovely Inn. The scenery and ambiance are without compare. However, what made this event extrordinary was the innkeeper/owner, Peco. He brings a European sophistication to the venue, blending old world charm and a wry sense of humor. I cannot rave about the Inn enough!

Throughout our three day stay, the innkeeper harassed me for asking for a key to my room by repeatedly telling me, my family, and strangers that I did not trust my family (we were there for a wedding). He was generally controlling. I have updated my review after learning that he invaded the personal space of another guest and made inappropriate and suggestive remarks towards them.

Highland Lake Inn is wonderful, and Pecco and Gail are extraordinary! I stayed there while attending a conference 10 min away at Proctor. The location is very nice, across the street from the lake and steps from a nice hiking trail. It was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was delightful. Pecco and Gail went above and beyond, making sure I was comfortable not only at their place, but also helping me with getting to and from my conference and making sure I had everything I needed -- they became my adopted grandparents for the weekend.

An excellent wedding venue with beautiful, serene and picturesque setting for this special day. Owner Pecco and Gayle were gracious and supportive to our needs. They are very welcoming too :) Love the healthy breakfast overlooking the lake in the morning. Sheryl, a very knowledgable and experienced manager, was very helpful in making the wedding a huge success. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was one of the most memorable wedding venue that I have ever had. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed that you would exclude over 50% of the population of New Hampshire. It is not constitutional to force someone to get a medical procedure done. According to your website, if I don’t get your required procedure then I can’t book with you. That’s bull and your business deserves to be shut down. Shame on you!

An idyllic spot to get away from the hustle and bustle. The inn keepers are a delight. They livened breakfast with witty conversation and even accompanied me down to the beach. The herons watched us; the views of the lake are calming; and the water was refreshing. The beds and bedding are luxurious - great sleep. The breakfast is delicious (maple syrup drizzle on the fruit - Yummy) and I got the eggs my way.
