Unfortunately we will no longer use Dr. Smiley because his receptionist is a reaaaalllll wench. Completely rude and condescending. Don't waste your time or oxygen speaking with her. It's sad because Dr. Smiley provided great care for our dogs.

In 20 years this is the first veterinarian I have found that is into this line of work because they love animals. Family owned and ran and its a relief when you find a provider whose main goal isn't only money. Every other vet charges for every little thing and makes you bring your animal in every issue to charge the visit fee even if they are acurrent active patient just doing the most to make money. I brought 2 animals in one time and was shocked when i was only charged one office visit charge. Previously everytime i was charged for each animal regardless of one appointment time and slot. Thats just one example. Then to be quoted double to 3 times the amount from every other vet for anything I've asked for quotes for is ridiculous to me. Vets and dentists are not regulated by medicare like health insurance and it should be because most these vets are doing way to much and lost focus of why they went into that field in the first place. What a relief and hats off to Smileys for having morals, being fair and doing good business. Thankyou to them because animals find me and it can be expensive to take them in and they make it possible. They came highly recommended and i am greatful to have found them. I would never take my animals anywhere else now.period!

I have been taking my dogs to Smiley Veterinary Clinic for years who Dr Smiley and Dr Jake treat for any and all issue. I am actually on my 3rd dog Cooper who is now their current patient too. Both Dr Smiley and Dr Jake are fantastic as is Sam and Duffy too! Their knowledge and dedication to their craft is just second to none! If in need of a true thorough and professional vet, please give them a Smiley Veterinary a call.

I was recommended to Dr. Smiley by a friend. After finally getting in touch with them, they said I can't make an appointment without a $35 deposit, but they don't take credit cards! So, I had to drive there to give the deposit in cash. The moment I opened the front door I was hit by a strong smell of urine and as I looked around the entry it was dark and dirty. I walked up a steep ramp into the "reception" area that still stunk. The place was dusty and dirty and behind the front desk everything was a mess, papers all over the place. I could see the exam rooms did not have doors, they had curtains. I've had Giant breeds and thought that a curtain wasn't going to keep an unwilling dog in an exam room! I thought that was not safe. If a large dog got out of their own room and into the exam room that had a client with a small dog, things could get out of hand very quickly. I was looking for a practice not owned by a corporation, but I wasn't looking for a place that was smelly, dusty, and had no doors on the exam rooms. I had a strange feeling about how long it took them to return a call, the fact that their recording says that they are closed from 12-2 pm and that if your pet has an emergency you should go to the emergency hospital, and then the deposit in cash. At that point I decided to leave without speaking to them or leave a cash deposit. You can call and see if you have a quicker response, and I suggest that you visit before giving a deposit. I don't know if the doctors are good (it's a father/son team with the wife/mother at the desk) but the facilities didn't impress.

Took my 6 month old healthy puppy to get fixed here yesterday, he didn’t come home, our hearts are broken. They have no idea what happened. Maybe it wasn’t the vets fault but seems weird to me my puppy was perfectly healthy and up to date on everything. Just absolutely devastated.

We love smiley! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! They are very reasonably priced and don't try to sell you on all kinds of unnecessary stuff. Highly recommend.

My family and I had been going to Smiley for the last 25 years or so. He was an outstanding vet until he brought on his wife as a receptionist. She is incredibly rude and demeaning. I have never had a positive/non threatening conversation with this woman over the phone. This past week I had an appt for my cat who is showing signs of some sort of mammary issue. Of course the appt fell on one of the worst blizzards we got this year. Not only did the highway to his office from me shut down but Harvey road (the road he is located on) also was shut down due to trees and wires down. I tried calling over and over and over with no answer. I have left multiple voicemails expressing urgency with no return. I have submitted inquiries on their website to have my records be sent to me, too. 4 days later I have called multiple times a day leaving voicemails almost every time. Today, the voicemail is still set to the winter warning voicemail from 4 days ago which tells me no one has even bothered to change or check the voicemails.I am currently switching to a different vet but now can't receive any of my records due the lack of response.Hopefully the wife does not come after me for writing this as I have read she has done so to others. But if you do read this - please send me my records!

Both Dr Simleys had no trouble handling and treating my daughter’s very rambunctious puggle puppy. What a wonderful caring family operation!

Not great experience…. The front desk lady isn’t friendly and they are extremely hard to get a hold of. Both doctors are very nice and seem competent, they explained what was going on with my dog very thoroughly. Not sure if I’ll go back.

My boyfriend and I take our cats here. We first started with Dr. Smiley a couple years ago when we had just gotten our kitten. He showed us around the place and quoted us what he needed for a first exam (especially since she had no health certificate). We were both very grateful for his time and being upfront. Owning a pet can be expensive. We recently adopted another cat and have been there multiple times for concerns. We currently see his son and he’s always been very thorough, listened to our concerns, and triple checked our kittens. He even picked up on a couple tapeworm eggs before it got more serious.I know this place has been getting some bad reviews, but this vet office is a family run, NH business and we’re happy to bring our pets here. I do wish they would answer their phone more regularly, as I hate leaving a voicemail, but they do manage to get back to us within 24 hours. People have been giving them a bad rap in regards to pricing, but everything has gone up. It’s just the way it is. I think, if you want to reach out, you should give them a shot. We love them a lot, but just like therapists, sometimes you have to shop around.

I called Dr smileys office to have my dogs seen and was treated very rude by his wife and son that are very money hungry and disrespectful. The wife quoted us one price on the phone and when I went in, charged my family all kinds of fees and work ups we never asked for, when I initially called to have my dog seen for a simple check up and she ordered all kinds of blood work and meds for a dog that’s in perfect health. long story short making me pay double he’s never been so expensive and his son tried 4 times to find the vein Dr Smileys business will suffer because of his wife and son that’s very inexperienced, it’s kinda sad Smiley senior was a great Vet before they came.

They have no compassion. They have lost their personal touch and are very ignorant. They missed diagnosed my Simon multiple times and kept asking me when I'd bring my dog in. I was trying to get my ill cat better. On top of that my husband had cancer so I was taking care of him. I've since lost the cat and my husband and tried to get animals back into to see them. They were combative and hung up on me. I appreciate them adding to my trauma and showing me who they REALLY are.

Dr. Smiley is a great vet. Very knowledgeable and kind to Cleo. He did not push unnecessary things onto me. He got my puppy in within a few days compared to months of waiting for other vets. We will be lifetime customers.

Father and son operated business I've been taking my pets (cat and puppy) the past few years. Every visit has been a positive experience, and will continue to be the only veterinarians I trust. From as simple as vaccines to surgically removing kidney stones from my cat, Smiley Vet Clinic has always taken care of my pets. Prices are reasonable as well. Thank you guys, I'll be seeing you 9/7/22 for my pup vaccines!
