Always closed or closing early, understaffed, dirty, not stocked, and beyond that, one day recently I called to ask if they were open and the guy that answered the phone gave me attitude saying “obviously we’re open if I’m answering the phones, duh” - came into the store for something and heard him complaining to other customers saying “people are so lazy, get your a55 off the couch and drive here to see if we’re open”. Super rude.

The center barnstead store is never opened when it's supposed to be! It either closes early or opens late. Today there's a sign( they didn't open) said," will open in a few hours ,restocking freezers". What's a few hours and aren't they suppose to restock while open? We all drive over there never knowing if it's open or not. That's a terrible way to run a store/business!! I don't know of any other ones that close when ever they feel like it instead of being open the store hours that are posted. Horrible just horrible. If I could I'd give that store a negative 4 stars.

This location is in a constant state of disrepair it seems. Isles are cluttered with freight not being put away. Carts left everywhere. Barely enough room to turn around let alone in the aisle. That the self check out is closed because people are stealing. So, you/customers are forced to deal with one lane checkouts which slow things down considerably. Never seems like there’s more than two associates working. As this is the “general store” in this town.

This store carries a lot of name brand items that you can’t get in other stores like dollar general. Self checkout is also quick

Went to the Dollar General, Ctr Barnstead a little while ago. Asked one of the two employees to check me out, told me the main cash register wasn't,t working. Right, had to use the self check out. Was not happy. I don? get paid to check out. Hre said that's the way it is. Was not happy.while they were doing nothing. Sad

John was very helpful and friendly. If you need anything he is the person to ask. He only works during the week and in the dsytime.
