Near as I can figure, there are probably only about....3 Hannafords nearby that carry the Glacier water refill stations I require to refill my 5 gallon jugs. Upon this most unprecedented day, my usual Hannaford in Hudson inexplicably had a Glacier machine that wasn't turned on. As in....it was plugged in...but not turned on. This wasn't the first time I ran into a busted ass machine at the Hudson location. Therefore, it was time for me to finally seek out other options. After scouring the four corners of the Internet, I came across two more Hannafords that have this water machine: one in Londonderry and this location.So, as if it wasn't pretty obvious by now, the only reason I came to this store was to get water. That being said, there's a few things about this location's water machine which make it superior to the one in Hudson.First thing I noticed were the written signs posted on the machine. In short, they basically advise customers that this machine only fills 1 and 5 gallon jugs. This is important since the water jugs Hannaford actually SELLS are 4 gallon jugs. Which means if you have one of these 4 gallon jugs and want to refill using this machine, you have to do it one gallon at a time.With that caveat out of the way, we can mention the second thing I love about this machine. Not only is the compartment you place the bottle in the precise size for a five gallon jug; it also has a see-thru door that contains any splash back from the water spout. The Hudson location does not have this.It's kinda cool because it means I don't need to line up the nozzle of the water jug with the spout like I have to at Hudson. A small detail, to be sure. But ya know what they say: every little bit helps. Although I didn't actually "shop" at this store per se, I did take a quick look at the floor layout and it felt cleaner than most other Hannafords I've been to. It's tough to explain, but it simply didn't feel as cluttered as some stores. Hannaford in Bedford gets 5 jugs filled with sparkling clean water out of 5.

I love Hannafords. It's my favorite store. I didn't know whether to rate it 5 stars or 1 star, due to the attitude of ONE employee, Francesca who was bagging. I forgot to put the partition stick in between myself and the customer ahead of me. In a voice dripping with sarcasm Francesca says, "This is why we have sticks." I apologized sincerely because some items got confused. I was also saving a spot for the woman behind me because she forgot something. She got back and thanked me. Jokingly I say, "See, some people like me." As I'm walking away and directly after I said that and directly next to me , Francesca says to the bagger next to her while laughing.... "I have no idea why. " I forgot the partition stick. People make mistakes. But mocking condescension and insults are intentional. Francesca, I'll Cee U Next Tuesday.

For a medium-sized footprint this is a well managed store. The management team keeps the shelves stocked and I rarely wait more than a minute or two to check out. The relatively small size, when compared to huge supermarkets, gets me in and out in short order. Recommended!

If I didn't have to give it any stars I wouldn't! Awful customer service. The lady scanning my food was coughing on her hands then scanning my food, we're talking fresh fruit and veggies!! Then continued to scan my food and tosses the food carelessly.. I also had a family size hamburger meat with a 2$ coupon on it, so as she scanned it I noticed the lady did not take the $2 off so I informed her that she didn't use the coupon she continued to tell me she did with attitude so the bagger decided to take a look and inform the lady no you infact did not.. soif it wasn't for the bagger then the lady wouldn't have taken it off very rude customer service. I would like an email back about this. Cashier 0120 Friday March 31 @4:56 pm ! My email is
[email protected] who sits there and coughs on people's food WITHOUT a mask! I had my young daughter with me at the time as well.

I live on the far side of Manchester and I choose to come to this location, out of my way, because I love the layout of store and plentiful amount of small carts. Thank you to all the workers here. You are hardworking people with good attitudes. It makes a HUGE difference!

Their pharmacy consistently doesn't provide good estimates of time that your prescription will be ready. I waste time nearly every single time here waiting in line and then being told my prescription will take 30 mins more. I come back and it's not done. Sometimes this happens multiple times. I live 20 mins away which means I'm not only wasting my time but also have to spend even more gas money. I only picked this pharmacy because I thought I could save a stop by doing my grocery shopping here. They need to hire more pharmacy staff because they clearly can't handle the volume right now.

This store has gone downhill real quick and yes it starts with management which is like a ghost here how can the surrounding hannaford store do well and have no empty shelf's. Have baggers that don't chit chat amongst each other while customers wait to have there groceries bagged. Shame on Bedford for not stepping up to the plate. MaybeBedford needs a Hugh change of the Gaurd otherwise you will have customers travel to the other local hannafords and yes Bedford will suffer.

The people in line in front of me gave the cashier and bagger a hard time. One of them left their ID’s at home and were angry they couldn’t buy beer. Both employees stayed cool as they were berated with comments on the policy and the occasional curse word. Hats off to the employees for staying professional and sticking to the policy even when dealing with some scumbags. Nice clean store as well!

So ive been going here for a while now .. For some reason ( recently)when i get beer as well as my food they tell me i have to take my mask off (MY MASK OFF MY FACE ) to sell me alcohol and they were rude to me when i said that made me uncomfortable due to covid-19. But yet for over a month its been no problem( MASK ON AND ALL)....i think this company really needs to rethink how they do things ..me being WELL over the drinking age. I didn't appreciate an assistant manager making me feel like im the bad guy because i didn't feel comfortable takin off my mask even though 2 local children who may or may not go to this hannaford just tested positive for covid-19 ..i think ill take my buisness elsewhere ...somewhere that knows better than to ask their own customers to take off their masks. During this pandemic....100% irresponsible.... Think smarter
