This place is a complete RIP OFF! The owner of this place is a disrespectful jerk. He took advantage of me. A hard working, deaf woman who spent nearly $400 to get her wheel bearing replaced. Two times in a row because the first time the wheel bearing they ordered was junk, the second time i brought it back they replaced it but shortly after, three of my dash lights came on including the ABS, four-wheel drive and the anti-slide light. They claimed it was a speed sensor that needed to be replaced and were trying to charge me $130 dollars to replace the speed sensor when the reality is those dash lights were not on the dash BEFORE they had replaced the wheel bearing. They’re absolutely REFUSED to fix the vehicle that THEY screwed up. So, as a result this will be going to small claims court and they will be sued. I have never seen such unprofessional, and uneducated mechanics in my life. This will also be going to the news. My mother and I have already started an article. As an unhappy and unfairly treated customer I would NOT recommend this service and company to anyone! BEWARE! FRAUDS!

I asked Paul to help me find a good used Tacoma. He took care of everything from locating, to transferring , prepping and so on. I am very happy with my truck and with Paul's assistance.

Let me just start by saying if I could give a review of less than one star I would because the business doesn't even deserve a rating of one. The owner is a real piece of work but we will get into all that. I bought a car in late December-ya go ahead check the date on this posting(from January after the car spent weeks in the shop)-and since owning this car it has spent more time in the shop than on the road. I am posting now on Google since he had my post removed from Yelp. I bought a used 2006 Subaru Legacy GT with 132xxx miles on it. I talked Paul down to $4500 with tax, tag and inspection because I felt the $5k to be a lot for the car, even though it appeared to be in great shape. My boyfriend drove the car home while I drove my truck-about a 25 minute ride. He said he noticed a couple things about the car and wanted to have it looked over. It went to a shop we trust in Portsmouth. The mechanic there found that all four rims were bent (Yes, all 4 and I couldn't believe it either) but that also the car had a massive oil leak and should have never been passed for inspection. Apparently, the turbo was not correctly sealed and oil was leaking from the turbo. I immediately contacted the owner and told him of the findings. To his credit, he invited me to come down the next day to get it looked at and he would see what we could do. When I got there, Paul was not there. He was in Manchester and I waited for him for about an hour or so. In that time, his mechanic told me they knew about the leak and had tried to repair it. I told him point blank that it was not repaired, it was actively leaking and that any mechanic worth his or her weight would have seen all that oil in the belly pan and known immediately something serious was wrong. I also mentioned how it was illegal to inspect a car that is not safe. Let me explain to you that oil leaking from a turbo can cause a fire when hitting the exhaust manifold-the car could have caught fire at any point in time. I did not want the mechanic to do the work as I did not trust him (for failing to fix the leak the first time and sealing it with silicone and not an actual gasket) and the mechanic even said he thought the job was lengthy and did not want to do it. I told the owner. I asked him if he would consider going in half's with me on the cost of the labor and parts to fix the turbo. He outright said he would not replace the rims. He tried to give me $150 at first. I argued with him about it as the bill was sitting at $800 for parts and labor just for the turbo. I left with a $350 check and a $20 for gas. I knew he wouldn't give me anymore. I brought the car back to the shop to have them fix it. Upon replacing the gasket they found other parts to the turbo completely deteriorated. I once again reached out to Paul. When I told him what was happening and the total I was at into the car he point blank said well at least you'll have a new car when you're done replacing all those parts. He denied any responsibility and insisted I got a good deal. He also accused me of wanting a pay off instead of letting him fix the car. A pay off of $350, seriously? Since talking to Paul, I have had to replace the turbo in the car as it went not even two weeks after this conversation. I now have over $7,000 into a car worth $4500 in great condition. Please do not buy anything from this man! He seems decent but he does not take responsibility when the cars he sells turn out to be lemons. I should have went for his inspection license at the very least. I have photographic proof of all my statements in this review so if you are considering buying from him, please contact me first. I really don't want anyone else to go through what I had to go through and I am hoping this review will prevent that. I only wish I did more research on this business and Paul before I made such a big purchase!

I had an amazing experience buying a car from Paul. He was easy to reach and to schedule an appointment with. He is thorough and very honest. I got a wonderful Subaru from him for a GREAT price. He had it inspected in my birth month and got temporary plates as well! When my mechanic looked at the car he said it is in wonderful condition mechanically! Paul kindly ordered a part for me, after I had purchased the car, and fixed the trunk strut because the back wouldn't stay open. He even got in touch a couple weeks after purchasing, to see how I like the vehicle. Overall I am so pleased with PB and J Auto and would highly recommend Paul to anyone! Thanks again!

I saw a truck on Facebook Marketplace last night. I immediately sent a message and explained I live 3 + hours away and was a serious buyer. Paul said he would hold it for me until I arrived. I was a bit late but had sent a message. He was very pleasant to deal with and honored his word. When I arrived he had 58 messages on that same truck. I was very pleased with his description of the truck and more pleased with his willingness to work with me. I have never had someone in the sales business hold something for me with nothing in return other than my word. I purchased the vehicle and absolutely love it. I will keep his information and tell anyone I know about my positive experience! A++ service and pricing!

If I could do a rating below one I would. Bought a car for my 17 year old nephew from there for 6k on November 13, 2018. The next day it was leaking antifreeze. My nephew took it back to discuss with him and basically it was a well you bought it so nothing I can do about it. Took it to a mechanic and there is a cracked head and the turbo is gone in it. DO NOT BUY. ANYTHING FROM THIS GUY. Totally a crook. We figured we would buy it from an actual automotive place instead of a private sale and now we are sorry. It sits in the driveway until he can scrap enough money up for a new engine. He makes $10.00 an hour so this is just an awful situation as he has a loan to pay and a dead car.
