Attention! The Purpose of this message is: To help others to avoid becoming a victim. With tears in my eyes, I would like to share my story. We have a 16 years old Yorkshire Terroir boy who is giving us so much love. His name is Eros. He has been a patient of Banfield Pet hospital, Concord for his entire 16-year life. We used Banfield only for routine exams. 6 years ago, Eros had a developed a stomach problem so we went to Benfield and saw Dr. Ring. She tried to treat him for a longtime as his problem became worse and worse leaving him to suffer over a long time. Finally, she said he might have terminal cancer, and said we should have an ultrasound performed. Thankfully it was determined from the ultrasound that the diagnosis was wrong and there was no cancer, but the ultrasound cost us over $500. With the help of a neighbor, we found a doctor at the VCA Russell Animal Hospital who solved the problem within days with anti-biotics. Now, about a year ago, Eros got heartworms. We needed treatment and Dr. Ring told us that she has experience administering the treatment. We wanted our little boy to be healthy again, so we paid the price and trusted her to administer the treatment properly in June 2023. We researched the treatment process and learned that the American heartworm association advises that after the treatment the dogs should resume a normal life. Unfortunately, it appears Dr Ring almost killed our boy. Now, since the treatment, he is having seizures and his back legs appear to be partially paralyzed. He cannot walk, has problems with his kidneys and is showing signs of neurological damage related to the treatment. Please, be careful when deciding who will be your pet’s doctor…your pet’s life, and your happiness may depend on it!

Excellent staff. Banfield in concord has the most amazing staff. Every time we go there with a concern we always feel so much better when we leave. They really know how to work with people and their dogs. Thank you

This last visit was our hardest. We said good bye to our 10 year old German Shepherd ?. The staff was so thoughtful and kind through it all. One tech came in on her day off just to say goodbye . What more can I say.

Made an appointment for a rabies shot only. Dog had an exam on 2/22/24 at her regular vet and the person at Banfield said it was state law to have an exam in order to get that vaccine. I asked the woman what statute she was referring to and she didn't know, only that it is a law. This is FALSE information, as the rabies vax is the ONLY vaccine that can be administered without an exam. This can be confirmed with the State Vet's Office, which I did. Educate your staff!! How inept to not have proper information to give customers. Needless to say, she is going elsewhere.

I brought my dog there twice within two weeks. The first vet said my dog had allergies, the second one did a lot of tests and was very rude to me and wanted to put her down that night. He wasn’t sure if it was pneumonia or a tumor. He sent her home with a exspensive antibiotic. Total cost for that place ran me way over and close too $600 dollars. Unfortunately I had to put my precious baby down at caves yesterday which cost me another $374 dollars.. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t about the money so much as she was diagnosed wrong and I took my dog there many times only for those people to make hundreds of dollars off me and send her home with meds. Those vets there are very rude and cold . I would not recommend this place too anybody.

I took my German Shepherd puppy for his first visit and I feel very comfortable with him being treated at this vet office. The staff all very nice and happy, The doctor was very informative and caring . They also gave me info on Training with no monkey business which I made an apppoitment . They offer a monthly plan that covers all of his visits and also his shots with a low monthly payment. I will continue to take my puppy.

Always super helpful, I feel they genuinely care for my pet, not just trying to sell services like some places. I've been coming here for 15 years and have no plans of going anywhere else.

Everyone encountered from the Vet techs to the Vets have been awesome. They are accommodating and really love pets! My baby was neutered recently and the Vet called after surgery to let me know he did great! Also, no judgment when I was unable to have the two planned procedures done at the same time and had to call and schedule them separately for economical reasons.

Save your money and your pet, avoid Banfield. Banfield has inexperienced doctors who do not know how to help your pets. I brought my Dalmatian in when he was having stomach issues. He couldn't eat, was lethargic, and vomiting all the time. Banfield ran X-rays and tests and told me my dog would be fine in a couple of days, take him home, and just wait. I waited two more days, and my dog got progressively worse; he was anorexic. I got so scared I took him to the emergency room at a different pet hospital. They ran the same X-rays and found a corn cob stuck in my dog's intestine. Banfield missed the cob on the x-ray, and my dog almost died because of it. My dog is two; he's just a baby. As a result, I asked Banfield to let me out of my contract because I do not trust these doctors with my dogs. They refused. They denied any fault. When I asked for copies of his records and X-rays, they refused to give them to me. They did not offer a refund for the X-rays and tests that they botched! PLEASE DO NOT TRUST BANFIELD WITH YOUR PETS!PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE WELLNESS PLAN! THEY ARE A SCAM! IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET, TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE!
