Horrible and traumatic experience with the doctor and staff here. We were not treated with the patience, compassion or clarity of information we needed in an emergency situation. After explaining how serious the condition was and how quickly action was needed we were left in a room to wait for another hour and a half for instructions and medication. We left with $500 worth of medication for a 30 day period - and they were unwilling to start with 7 days, not even knowing if he would make it 24 hours. My dog only used 1 day of some medication and none of others before passing. The hospital was unwilling to recuperate any unused medication to help alleviate the costs. The cost of service here is outrageous and unreasonable, especially after the lack of confidence in the treatment plan and how impatiently we were treated. We were shown a treatment plan for $6-8k with no other recommendations/options. I took my dog to VECC in Newington and had the compassionate and articulate experience we deserved at 1/3 of the cost. I will never recommend this facility to any pet owner, especially during an emergency experience. It should be shut down and restaffed.

We brought our dog Sigmund to them on an emergency to which they charge $720 and didn't even tell that's what the issue was gave him a bunch of medication told us it was a 12,000 operation. I see all these reviews about compassionate people there we did not experience that my wife said the people were rude and all about how much money they get soaked out of you and get on your heartstrings for your pets. They won't even return calls so we can tell our vet what's going on. I would not recommend these people to anybody.

I would give this zero stars if I could. The staff here were unfriendly, unpleasant, clearly stressed out and too busy, and the wait times were ridiculous.I was there for 5 hours the doctor saw my pet for 2 seconds and then they tried to upsell me $2-3k worth of services that my pet supposedly needed when it had what I said it had which was it ate something it shouldn't have.Find another ER vet to go to this place only cares about $$$$ its a chain like McDonalds.I wasted 6 hours of my workday when these people clearly don't know what they are doing and I won't be going here again. Happy to see some people had good luck with them but I never have and I've given them 3 chances. You are better off going to any ER Vet that is not a VCA chain.

The Doctor and staff were very honest and gave me all the options when my Australian Shepherd broke his leg. They were very economical, very professional and took great care of my pup.

Worst veterinary hospital in the area. Avoid this place like the plague. My macaw was killed after being over anesthesitised. They also refuse emergency care based on "feelings." This place should be shut down.

Unfortunate. Lovely workers here, but there needs to be some work put in to making a more effective flow to the work going on here. I waited 4 hours for a 5 minute blood sample. Front desk is nice, but usually unhelpful when trying to get any information on wait times. Be sure to review EVERYTHING on your bill, as it’s easy to be hoodwinked when emotions are high. I think the workers are great, but the infrastructure is poor. I bet an overhaul and readjustment would make patients, workers, and pet owners much happier and would make things much quicker.

I can’t say enough about this facility and the staff! They are fantastic could not be happier!!! Thank you for the great care of Chia. She is not a very happy camper today, but will be when she heals. They have amazing communication from start to finish and understand our fur babies are our family. KUDOS TO CAVES!!!!

I’m so grateful we have this place close to home. My dog woke up with some troubling symptoms this morning so i rushed her in to be evaluated. She’s a very nervous dog but they were so patient with her. They provided us with a quote for the testing she needed but also said if we couldn’t afford to do all of it- they could work with us on what’s most necessary which is appreciated. They ran tests, we got a diagnosis and my girl is recovering at home. So thankful for this place and all of the staff!

This place is not first come first serve. One person ahead of us when we came . All dogs that came in after us walked in on their own cognizant. They looked perfectly fine. We kept getting bumped back maybe because we had an out of state phone number? We left after well over an hour and our dog constantly whimpering clearly in Our local vet recommended this place i will let them know how dissatisfied we were. This place needs to do much better and apparently cater to concord people only.

Since I was 16 to now currently in my 20s, this is the worst vet clinic I’ve ever been too. My first dog I had was a chihuahua, they held my dogs ashes hostage till I (again a 16 year old girl paid the remaining $200 fee) then they mixed my dogs ashes up with someone else’s and told me they couldn’t do anything about it as it was given to someone else, then 5 minutes later of me crying. Tell me it was miscommunication and they had my dogs ashes there…(still to this day I’m not sure if it’s him or not)….THEN tonight, my father, sister, and her Bf were denied any help from them for my 2 dogs that had Porcupine Quills in their faces. We were there for 1-2 hours till we just left and went to the Manchester EVH instead. Not only did they take us right away, but they helped guide us through our options at 11pm btw, and made sure the dogs were seen ASAP.I do not 100% recommend going to Caves. This is one of the worst EVH I’ve been too. I’m very disappointed. And when I walked out crying the ladies just shrugged their shoulders and said…Sorry ??♀️.

We took our young boy (cat) with a bladder obstruction. We recognized the problem immediately and got him in quick. The initiate quote was ridiculous (Over $3k, they wanted to hold him 36 hours) but they were very responsive and giving us a much more reasonable option. Friendly staff, healthy cat.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I can't say that I've ever posted a bad review about a business before so this is a first. If you value your time and love your pet, do not take them to CAVES. We had been warned but unfortunately, our 15 year old dog has been very sick and we needed a vet that was 24 hours and close by. Our dog has been sick for the last 72 hours and had been previously seen at another emergency vet (we would have gone back there but they are not 24 hours). She has been having breathing issues, vomiting and today started with diarrhea that turned into consistent bloody diarrhea. We had to wait 7 hours to be seen at CAVES and every single time we asked when she would be seen, they told us they couldn't give us an estimate and showed no compassion. We checked in with them at least three times and never received updates on when we would be seen all the while, every new patient coming in was seen before us and our dog's illness escalated. We were told that they had a triage system and our dog was stable so she would be seen once all of the other priority cases were seen. Meanwhile, they never checked in with us or her or informed us of scheduling changes. We understand that they triage because some cases are life threatening and need to be seen right away, we get this but at some point, they need to either tell you that they can't see you for another certain amount of hours or they need to recommend you go elsewhere for treatment. 7+ hours is just crazy.Fast forward to when we were triaged again (because I went to the front desk crying) by a new vet tech (Kiara - who is awesome and compassionate) and finally seen after 7 hours. After another shorter wait, Kiara got us into a exam room where we continued to wait for the doctor. Dr. Driscoll finally came in and instead of apologizing for the wait and being compassionate towards the fact that we were upset and exhausted with our very sick dog, she confronted us about the fact that my husband wrote a negative review and told us we were welcome to leave if we were not happy with our care there (interesting that they were so busy yet she had time to browse Google for bad reviews). She continued to go on about that instead of just tending to our dog. We hadn't received any treatment yet so how could we be unhappy with the care? We were unhappy with the 7 hour wait time for a dog that is 15 years old, is dehydrated and has been vomiting and waterfalling bloody diarrhea. Dr. Driscoll then proceeded to tell us that she wanted to re-run the same exact tests (multiple x-rays, full blood test panel) that we had completed on our dog within 48 hours at the other emergency vet. She said she could not treat appropriately without re-running the same exact tests (at around 2,000 dollars) that had just been run on our dog.At this point, we were frustrated with the Dr's approach to the situation and we just wanted something to help our dog. We ultimately refused re-testing and requested symptomatic treatment as we wanted our dog out of the pain she was in as soon as possible since she already was miserable all day. We plan to visit our primary vet or another vet instead for further care. While waiting there throughout the day, we witnessed another couple walk away who had been waiting almost as long as us, a potential Parvo puppy with ongoing symptoms be told to wait in the car with no treatment after 7-8 hours, and a poor couple be told they had to pay $10K for the treatment that was done on their dog instead of the $7,500K they were quoted. We will never return and I strongly advise you don't either.

Avoid at all costs. They have no idea how to triage. Waited over 5.5 hours for our elderly dog with GI issues, and another puppy was in for pooping blood and CAVES decided a puppy who came in with a cut toe nail was a higher priority. Our dog then had more diarrhea and pooped blood and they still did not see her. It has been over 5.5 hours and still no one has seen her.Again AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The place is terrible and they clearly do not care about animals.
