Weight room is great, clean facility. If you want to feel like an inconvenience and unwelcome, just talk to the front desk Karens!

The daytime pool time for adults without children who do not lap swim is very limited - approx 42 minutes. Will try Goffstown branch in the near future. The 18 plus women's locker room is dark and gloomy. Makes it difficult to look forward to going to this site. No warm water pool or spa at this location. Disappointing!

I've been a member for years and I can't believe a lot of these low ratings. This is a nice place with good people. The facilities are clean, in good order, and bright. There's an extensive and diverse offering of classes, and plenty of space in the many locker rooms. The equipment is modern, and members are entitled to several free sessions with a personal trainer. The pool is clean and is well-organized to accommodate the needs of various patrons (family swim, lap swim, etc). Teachers are outgoing and lead challenging and multilevel classes. I look forward to going to the Y and recommend it highly.

I enjoy working out at the Y, but there are some issues.Pros-friendly, not intimidating atmosphere-huge variety of equipment, including pool-building is clean-lobby spaces are convenientCons-building and equipment is quite run down, lots of stained walls and floors and damaged weights and yoga mats-80% of the group classes don't work with a 9-5 job-many of the group instructors kinda stink, a few are great but most lack energy and give very little instruction, I've even had one put on slow orchestral music during cardio-limited weekend hoursI like it enough, but I'm mostly sticking with it because it is one of the only gyms with a pool and my husband likes to swim. Otherwise I'd probably switch.

The staff is not friendly, understanding or helpful. Front desk staff act annoyed if you ask for help. Staff cleaners are sketchy. Go elsewhereAlso Concord YMCA is not for young children who cannot tolerate a mask. Their mask policy requires all members 2 years old+ to wear a mask. Our family with 2 toddlers was not able to utilize the facility due to mask policy. We cancelled our membership after 2 days.

They should move there business to New York along with all the new policies they have. 1 person in the steam room at a time with a dozen new rules that feel like they take away your personal freedoms at the door.

Just had a 9 am kickboxing class with Gaia and it was fantastic! Really energetic and provided lots of modifications! Can’t wait to try it again!

Was working out with some of my friends and one of them took off his mask to get a drink of water, some man that worked there came in yelling at us saying if we did it again our membership would be suspended. We continued our workout like we had been doing for the past month with our masks on correctly. We left and next time we went we weren’t allowed in because our memberships were suspended. We were not informed of the suspension, no email, text, or anything. Drove all the way there and wasted some pre workout to be told we couldn’t go in. This was extremely inconvenient because the only way that we were allowed to go back was to speak to the administrator who suspended our membership(without warning)- who wasn’t working until 8-12pm which doesn’t work because of school.

$59 a month if you want an Adult Membership plus $75 sign up fee!! Vs The Y in MA where I paid $32 a month and no sign up fee. They should definitely have an option to customize what type of options come with the membership. All I want to use is a gym and basketball court, nothing else.

I wasn't going post a review until I saw how ridiculous some of the other reviews were. I've been a member for almost 3 years, am in my 20s and have used the weight room, cardio room, small/big gym, and classes. Everyone that works here is friendly and helpful. The place is kept clean, and everything you need is generally accessible. The weight room and cardio room are on the smaller side but they are totally fine for the amount of members and have a good variety of equipment. The classes they offer are all great, I did yoga there weekly - really passionate instructor. Other reviews make This place out to be horrible, not the case. Totally normal fitness club, good value, good amenities, and the people who are members here are normal people which is a nice change from some of the more corporate gyms like planet fitness or fitness edge.

1 hr time slots to control number of lifters throughout the day. Masks are required and you are given your own fresh rag and disinfect-ant at the door along with a body temperature check at the door. I’m impressed and feel safe lifting here!

Paid full price with a start up fee and most everything was cancelled or closed due to Covid. We were given no tour and any questions we asked we were told to visit the website. Hours are pretty lousy, most people work 9 to 5. I expected better service for the price that was paid..

It's said to say this about a non-profit, but this unfortunately has to be shared. We had a family membership for almost three years and thought nothing of double checking our accounts in case of foul play. They were on auto-pilot, and the Y doesn't send out statements. Unless we looked into the details of our bank accounts, we wouldn't see any mistakes. After 2.5 years, I was going over my bank transactions and discovered the Y was changing us twice, once to each card on file. Two credit card statements made it difficult to make it obvious. An error on my art I am willing to own up to, but nonetheless, the second membership had no activity on it, making it obvious on the Y's side that it wasn't being used. It seems the miscommunication came from signing up both of our daughters in the beginning, but cancelling one membership because she decided there wasn't;t anything of interest for her. I spoke to the front desk, filled out their paperwork and never though another thing about it. The account was never actually canceled. Whoever was responsible to push through the paperwork wasn't;t around to do so. Therefore, the account was kept active, and continued to be charged. I brought this to the attention of the Y- speaking to one of their part-time front desk staff who said she would let the director of operations know the info. Feeling I could be treated fairly and with respect, I agreed politely. Soon after, maybe an hour or so, I received an email from the director saying they would/could only refund us for this month and the last month, and that bank statements were their receipts. I took this to believe that it was all my fault they didn't;t cancel the account. Honestly, I think a conversation with the customer would have been in order before any decision was made, but I'm letting the bones rest where they lay. This Y has always been poorly run and staffed, with constant bickering between the different elements of the facility. This doesn't come from a place of retribution from what has occurred, but simply an honest statement about the Concord Y's environment. It is a negative environment, and so I regretfully cancelled our family membership (the only one we used.) Simply be aware- members' interests are not a concern at this facility.
