Danbury Country Store is widely considered the best country store in the state, a beloved destination offering a little bit of everything. The standout feature is the extremely helpful, patient, welcoming, and incredibly kind staff, providing the best friendly service. The food is a major highlight, featuring by far the best pizza in all of New Hampshire, along with amazing, legit, and bomb deli sandwiches, delicious soft serve ice cream, and beloved treats like the Vermonster and lemon blueberry cookie. The store is very clean and has a huge variety of items, including locally made crafty gifts, cool stickers, affordable apparel, and amazing local signs. It offers seasonings, wine, beer, other adult beverages, snacks, drinks, iced coffee, basic home good foods, a slushie machine, and a penny candy wall. The store supports local artists, bakers, and small businesses and has pretty decent gas prices, which are much more affordable than those near the highway. With its unique, one-of-a-kind atmosphere that evokes nostalgic childhood memories, Danbury Country Store is an awesome place hands down and comes highly recommended.
Perfect snack/lunch/dinner spot next to the Northern Rail Trail. We were so hungry when we got there, we scarfed our sandwiches and only took a photo of the yummy strawberry banana smoothie. Camped nearby and also had hot breakfast sandwiches and coffee there the next day. People were friendly, and the bathroom was clean.
