“Had a chip in my windshield that another shop said wasn't fixable. Went to Portland glass of Dover for a second opinion.
Glad I did, they were honest and said the fix might not be feasible. They got me in quick and repaired the chip for under $100 USD. And I'm very happy with the work. The technician explained how he fixed it and was very friendly as were the ladies at the desk. It was worth the drive for me.”
“I have continued to buy from Bill Dube. I find that John Oconnor is one of the best salesman I’ve worked with. Always sets me up with a perfect car. Thank you to him and the dealership. I am in a 2026 Toyota Camry hybrid all-wheel-drive now And completely happy.”
“Somehow I waited until the last day of January to get my inspection sticker. I did a Google search and found Dover Paint and Varnish. Who Da Thunk they did stickers. Stopped in at about 9:00AM and they said if I came back at noon they could take care of me. Before I could leave the parking lot they hailed me and said they could do it now. NOW IS GOOD ! While the inspection was being done I browsed the store....This is like an old fashion General Store. They have the typical convenience store stuff, hardware...... and oh yes Paint and Varnish. Great Place.”

“I needed body work from an accident. Everyone was wonderful and helpful. I was delightfully surprised when I picked up my car that they had detailed the inside as well, down to the dirt in the floor mats. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs any body work done.”

“Dupont's Service Center is the most professional company I have dealt with over the last 30 years. They truly care about customer concerns. They do a high quality job! at a reasonable price.”
“The staff are thorough, hardworking and excellent communicators. They worked on my air conditioner to test it and when the recharge didn't work they didn't charge me for their work. I plan to go to them to get my car repaired in the future and appreciate the thoughtfulness, they were not pushy and their costs were reasonable.”
“Recently purchased my second car from Dover Chevy. From working with Mike Lewis Sales to finance with Anton Marienko, to the general sales manager Martin Capici and finally, the general manager Don McEwen was such an amazing experience! I would recommend your next purchase to be with Dover Chevy!!!”
“This is likely the place to find that "certain part" for your older automobile restoration. Please read further...I had made contact by phone with Mr. Carswell about 10 years ago in my search for old stock auto parts. I specialize in carburetors. He told me that he had 10 rebuilt old stock carburetors on one of his shelves that he was willing to sell. I am in New Jersey and he is in New Hampshire. I do travel distances to buy inventories of carburetors that have 200 to 300 pieces in them. His tiny inventory was something I would look at if I ever was in his neighborhood. My wife and I decided on a long weekend in Ogunquit, Maine for the last weekend in July of 2022. I made a phone call to Mr. Carswell saying that I would like to stop in on Friday, July 29th, around 1PM, to look at his small carburetor inventory, and browse around his store for other items. He agreed to my visit with a tone of disinterest. My wife and I did show up at the date and time mentioned. We met Mr. Carswell upon entering the dusty and dark car parts museum that is his parts store. We introduced ourselves. We discovered instantly that Mr. Carswell is a rude and condescending curmudgeon. Our being from New Jersey seemed to work against any chance of being accepted by him. He showed me his carburetor inventory that was now at 9 units. I asked what he expected to sell the small lot for. He responded in asking what I pay. Well, I pay pennies on the dollar to buy out hundreds of units at a time...not the correct answer for Mister Carswell. And, he would not give an answer to what his expectations were for his minuscule carburetor inventory. At this point, the dim lighting over the 9 carburetors was turned of. The negotiation was over. Mr. Carswell will own them till his passing day. The carburetors, and the mass amount of inventory in the four stories of this old stock auto parts trove will likely end up in a bunch of dumpsters. Now, I am going to give this old school auto parts store the highest rating on this forum. Based on my experience of visiting car parts stores for the past 20 years, I have a gut feeling that there is likely any type of vintage part that may be needed for American cars from the 1940s through the 1970s. That is, other than carburetors. This is a store that a restorer may be able to walk into and find that certain part being sought for a restoration of a 40s, 50s or 60s automobile.Lesson learned...do not let "Mr. C" know that you are from anywhere but New England. And, do not have a New York or New Jersey metropolitan accent.”

“I’ve purchased two trucks now from Dover Chevrolet and have been continuously impressed by their commitment to the customer, honesty, integrity, and general process from the very first interaction to driving off in your new vehicle.
Marty is absolutely awesome, as well as Ed and Anton in the sales department.
Service department is excellent; they can usually get you in same week; Jen is also knowledgeable and works hard to fill any questions you have.
Really rare to find a dealer you can trust; I couldn’t recommend another Chevy dealer more than this place.”

“Great staff working here, very friendly to all customers. The way everyone seemed to be happy to be working here, made my whole attitude change. I went in a little bit annoyed in a bad mood, but I left feeling better just seeing people in high spirits. The service was fast and reliable. Prices seem fair. I'll be back here for my next oil change.”

“I have irrational fear of getting car work done and being ripped off. These guys made me feel at home and leaving happy + well cared for at unbeatable pricing!
Bring it back home to Strafford Tire, Dave and his team are THE BEST.”
“Smooth check in. Inspection passed.
Noted that employees are extremely stressed. I heard mention of one employee calling out, one just not showing up and one who had to leave early for a personal issue. With over 20 scheduled appointments, walk-ins were being turned away and/or walking away.
I like Sullivan for tires and maintenance but beyond that, I'd recommend using a dealer for major repairs. The Sullivan mechanics are skilled but they don't know your car like dealers' shops do. Perhaps they (mechanics) could hang professional course completions / certifications where they are visible to the consumer - as a confidence boost?”
“Citgo Premium Gas is the best gas tied with Shell. I really prefer these two over all the others and it's not even close. It seems my higher output motors prefer the SHELL 93 and all the others prefer CITGO 93. You really cant go wrong with either of them. If you're in a pinch, get Irving Premium.”
“Incredible guest service! I had a stripped bolt keeping my bike rack on my hitch, and he spent 20 mins getting it off (had to use an air chisel and eventually had to melt it off). No charge, he said he's just happy he could help. But now I can use the bike rack on another car and I'm so happy!”
