I drove to CVS, 118 Central Ave, Dover to get a few items. The place was dirty and dark. People were helpful and pleasant and I found what I needed, but I will not go back.

Not clean and the worst lighting. I wonder if they would even pass code with the lighting this place has. Fifty years ago, this building was a n A&P grocery. Obvs that CVS moved in with no updates to the building since. One of my items for purchase was rung up at a different (higher) price than the shelf tag indicated. In most stores, when there is conflicting price with what is rung up, the customer gets the item for the lesser price. BUT in this place, the clerk said she could not override the bar code on her cash register. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said that she was a manager, and that the clerk standing next to her was also a "manager". I bet! I left the store with no purchases.

This is worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Only reason I was using them was because there website is easy to navigate. Almost every month I come here theres issues. A few months ago needed 2 prescriptions filled and they were very busy so instead of saying there busy and long wait time the person who took my prescription tried saying she thought they were all out and wouldnt get anymore in until next day. Another employee corrected her and said they had plenty. Her attitude was basically this guys a scumbag because hes on suboxone and wearing dirty clothes. Just got out of work doing construction job. Then everytime they give you a estimated time its nowhere close to right. Today said would be ready in hour and took 2 hours and 17 minutes. Would have came back the tomorrow or gotten food. Not sat in a parking lot waiting this whole time. Not once have they called to tell me when something's wrong. I have to figure it out on my own after wasting 2 hours of my time driving there. Yesterday needed prior authorization for insurance to pay for medicine and didnt know until I got there. Could have gone to dr and had her do the paperwork. Instead had to pay 53 dollars for 3 days supply of medicine because the goodrx coupon I sent them and had on my phone to show them wasnt done right by them. Instead of waiting another 30 minutes to change the price I paid and left. One or 2 bad experience I'd say whatever covid is going on but not everytime I go. I'm done with these people forever. And everyone else should be too. Other places would love your business on sure.

My extra bucks were not taken off. I didn't want to hold up the line. I left and looked at the receipt. $21 in extra bucks were not taken off! The solution was to have me bring my items back in, returned, then my card refunded (which won't credit for a couple of days). This created a scene. It was necessary to scan my DRIVER'S LICENSE to proceed. The person helping me told me she was going to quit after helping me and told me she had an autistic son. What the hell. The cashier messed up and cost me money, I had to spend time going back and getting it fixed, and I get a guilt trip and get treated like I am the problem. My CVS card wouldn't work after this. They couldn't reinstate my extra bucks. Probably because I made a "return". The other cashier kept hollering out that they needed to finish up because there was a line and they needed the register. When the customer checks out, and extra bucks pop up on the screen with the words APPLY, HIT APPLY! Not rocket science. It takes up half their screen. Poke it with your finger. No deep thought required.

Right down the street, the staff at this CVS makes it different. A CVS is a CVS but it's the people who work there that set it apart. It's clean, organized and in a great location!

I went inside to use the ATM and browsed around, this place was definitely a small town pharmacy prior. CVS didn't bother to change the outside signs to look like the typical CVS modern signs but left the feel of the small town by leaving the tent like sign up and changing it to say CVS. This CVS is essentially located in the middle of no where so no high expectations for them to have the same things as CVS in the city but just the essentials. The cleanest of the place wasn't up to par but acceptable.
